One star is too much. My son was very interested in a car there and wanted me to check it out since I work close in Waukegan. Met with manager Manny, he let me check it out and drive it. Let him know that my son wanted to purchase it and offered to put down $500 to hold it until he could get there tomorrow with the balance. He said no need to, he would hold it on a verbal. My son went the following day with cash, Manny said he sold it in the morning. As you can see in the other write ups, this place deserves a negative 5 stars. Took advantage of me being a young woman with not to much knowledge of a car, they sold me a car that was Junk like literally junk they gave me a 15 day guarantee soon realized the car was leaking coolant took the car back for repair they said the car it would be about a week took them about a month plus they would never answer my calls once I called from a different number they answered and they would not give me a straight answer. Finally they returned the car "all good, all fixed with a new part" turns out THEY PUT SILICONE ON THE ALREADY BROKEN PART!!! I was driving my car for a couple months with the coolant leaking to the motor this caused the coolant to enter the pistons, making them stop working and consequently causing the engine to fail. What was supposed to be my new, first car turned out to be the worst experience I could have. It wasn't until a few months ago that I was finally able to get rid of that car. Buying a new engine was not an option it would have cost as much as the car itself. I couldn't sell the car to anyone else, so I had to leave it parked and pay for storage until I finished paying off the car so I could finally sell it for scrap. Do your due diligence when shopping here! I did my research before going to this location. Saw a vehicle I wanted to buy, saw that this dealer purchased the vehicle earlier this year from auction, it was deemed totaled from a front end crash. They put it on the market 1 month ago. Check CarFax! I went to buy the vehicle, opened the hood and saw that the engine mounts were blown, I heard a ticking sound from the engine and the tires were flat. I asked for them to take $1,000 off because it wasn't worth the $3,000 they were asking. They said no and I walked. The van isn't worth the $2,000 I was offering. Wheel chair ramp, need servicing, the seats in the interior were different, the front bumper is a different color white then the body and i'm sure the frame is still damaged from the crash. read more

I recently went to car castle to look at a 2006 Buick Rainier they were advertising for $4999. the car had very low mileage and the body and interior looked beautiful. but when I got down on the ground to look at the underside I was appalled to find the frame rusted through almost completely and the whole underside terribly rusted. whoever is unfortunate enough to buy this otherwise beautiful car will be buying a nightmare. the first time they go to have the oil changed, the shop will inform them that the car cannot even be raised up on the hoist because the frame will collapse. Horrible business The staff there are very carefree as far as handling with customers I test drove a vehicle today and they wanted 5995 for a 2011 Toyota Camry SE in which when we test drove it had no gas and we had to put in money from our own pockets to even try it out The trunk had no weather stripping so the whole trunk was filled with water and rust as well as after getting gas we shut off the vehicle as you were supposed to when getting gas and I tried to start the vehicle again and it would not start and I have had to call the dealership about 7 to 8 times of finally get someone out there to jump start it after that I just put the keys on the desk and said I'm done and walked out I would not recommend anyone try and buy vehicles from these people it seems they just buy cars that have been flooded or poorly taken care of off of auction sites and try and flip it to make a quick buck there's no warranty and they do not offer to help you out whatsoever I don't know how this business is even running read more

I bought a car paid cash, had an agreement to bring it to be inspected and if anything as wrong hey would fix it. Put almost 2k into the car plugs because there was a misfire. rear shock was not attached. Battery was bad, tires had less than 3mm on it. then I get told by my inspection that the transmission was bad needs bearing. they bought the car back Anmol Khuindri told me to go to a different dealer and that I should not have registered the car. They refused to give me the difference, even though I had recites. To top it off I only asked them to fix the transmission as I paid for the other stuff. I have contacted and attorney and the attorney general office and am filing a claim. do not buy from thease people. read more

Went to look at an Acura suv 7995 I had 2000 to put down and yes my credit is poor but I figured I would see what he could do. They didn't even want to acknowledge me when I walked in the door. I told him upfront what I had and what my credit was said if I couldn't get financed on that amount there was one for 3995 2000 more then I had probably would of been easier to get approved. Gave me the keys to start it up radio didn't work navigation didn't work so me and my daughter went to see if we could see the cheaper one the stank that was sitting at the desk looked at him shook her head no and he dismissed me without even trying. Not even seeing if I could get a co-signer or anything. Don't recommend them at all read more

If you do buy from here make sure before you sign the contract that there isn't written in tiny letters "this car is not safe to drive on roads" I asked if I could take the car to my mechanic. Nope can't leave Zion however you can purchase the vehicle, then take it to your mechanic and you have an 11 day, let me type that again 11 day warranty on the engine and transmission IF the car has under 150k miles. I was lied to out the gate when I asked if they had ever been part of Car Source. No not at all when the man who screwed my daughter over on a car she purchased there was sitting at a desk across from me. Liar and cheats, don't care any thing about the customers safety only their pockets. They need to close down before someone is seriously hurt or killed driving this garbage. Bought a car from them. Thank god for the Illinois law of 15 day, 500 mile warranty because the trans is going out. I emailed them, still awaiting a response to see if they are going to cure the situation. Do yourself a favor, take video logs of things you notice in the first 15 days you have the car. That's what I did. My attorney says I have a leg to stand on because of it. Take video of mileage, with date stamp so it shows the trouble is recent and still within the return period. Just had the trans checked by Honda, they said a "masking additive" was in the CVT fluid, and this trans has been going out for a while. This place seems like that stereotype 1950's used car conman type. Hopefully I'm wrong, and I get to update this saying how great they are. read more
