Quality of care has gone way downhill. My last two visits pushed me to finally find a new doctor. I would highly recommend to steer away from Dr. Lieberman, especially if you are trans or nonbinary. The nurse that works with her is extremely rude and has outright refused to call me the name I want to be called saying that I am not allowed to be called anything but my legal name in a medical setting. She was very nasty about it practically scolding me. I have never had this issue in any other medical offices. When I told Dr. Lieberman about this she told me "we don't do that here but I'm sorry", basically telling me that she did not believe that her nurse had treated me this way. Dr. Lieberman also brushed off my pain for over a year. I finally wore her down to actually listen to my symptoms at my last visit and she acted like it was a brand new problem. I had been seeing her for nearly 10 years at this point and she was well aware I have a history of cysts. She recommended I go to zwanger for a sono. I found a new doctor who will perform the sono in office. She has done sonos for me in office before but I guess she has too many patients and not enough time anymore. Apparently also not enough time anymore for a basic breast exam because I also did not have one done when I went for my annual appointment despite having them done at every annual visit prior. It is also impossible to get in touch with the office. I called and left a message at the proper extension for a prior authorization and went a week without hearing anything. When I called again I got voicemail again. I had to call the call center and have them wait on hold to put me on hold with them. this is an overall very poor management system for a doctors office. Dr. Lieberman is absolutely worth the wait. I read the reviews so I was mentally prepared for my hour plus wait to be seen. Right away, Dr. Lieberman apologized for keeping me waiting. I found her to be through, smart and engaged. This was my first time to her office and I highly recommend her. I'm shocked by the other responses on here and have been seeing Dr Lieberman for years. She was so amazing and compassionate to me. I was actually seeing another dr in the practice, when I went into early labor Dr Lieberman was the dr on call and she got me through one of the toughest days of my life when I lost my twins. She was amazing with my surgeries she performed and always asked how I was doing and any concerns I had. So glad she was the dr on call and I met her then. I've been seeing her for 5 years now and plan on continuing even though she's with a different practice now. read more

How disappointing. I've had 2 appointments with Dr. Lieberman and her bedside manner is really great and she got me to a diagnosis that makes sense for the symptoms I was experiencing. However, her accessibility is really something to be desired. My pharmacy told me that my birth control had been discontinued. I called her office five times and had missed 4 doses before she called in another one (without calling me back). She called in the same exact prescription as the one I had before. I have been going to Dr. Lieberman for about two years. In my two years, I have never once had a pleasant experience in both trying to get in touch with the doctor/her secretaries and waiting for the doctor once I had an appointment. Calling the office is nearly impossible. They rarely answer, and if they do, they say they will relay the information (such as being prescribed the wrong pills after being on the same ones for over a year) to the doctor, but nothing ever comes of it. Every time I go to an appointment, I am waiting in the waiting room for at least an hour and then in the room for at least another 20-30 minutes. When in the room with Dr. Lieberman, she is kind and efficient, but the hassle of making an appointment and clearing 2 hours out of my schedule for that appointment is extremely irritating. read more

If I could give negative stars on her, I would. Dr. Lieberman prides herself on being professional, however she is the complete opposite. Today, I waited over an hour and a half to see her for about 5 minutes. In those 5 minutes, she proceeded to comment on the fact that I am 35 and single. This is not the first time that she has commented on my age and marital status. Her comments are completed unwarranted and wildly inappropriate. After seeing her today and hearing these comments, I have decided that this will be my last time with her. I urge you to seek out a doctor that prides themselves on being professional, and follows through on it. read more

I have been very disappointed with the staff and the way they treat patients. Please find yourself a doctor that can prescribe medication in less than a week so you don't have to call every other day to remind them that you ran out of your prescription. Are they underpaid? If I could give no stars, I would. But alas, I wouldn't be able to tell this story otherwise. So. Not only are you treated like cattle here at this office, but literally the entire staff (minus one nurse, who can have this star) including dr. Lieberman, treat you like an inconvenience. Now I ended up here because my original obgyn didn't take my insurance, and dr Lieberman did and came with glowing reviews from other local women. Well, I'm not sure if they were friends with the good dr or what, but I did not get the same treatment. I came in to get my paragard iud removed as the pain is was causing was literally disrupting my life. I've been diagnosed previously with pmdd since I was in high school. I'm 29 now, 30 next month, so I've lived with this for a while. When we discussed other options, mirena came up, and seemed like it could be a dream come true! Now I did my homework on it, and knew previously that I am extremely sensitive to hormones. I explained last time I took hormones, I basically lost my shit and as my wedding was coming up, did not want to be in that kind of emotional state. Now she told me it was near impossible to have a reaction to mirena as the hormones stay local to your uterus area and normally people experience zero negative side effects, just the glory of no periods! Roughly 6 months in (I gave it the "3 month adjustment period" and then some) and not only was I experiencing severe mood swings (I lost my job over this) I was experiencing rage to the point that driving became dangerous. Then came the suicidal thoughts. That would be my last straw. I'm in multiple support groups for pmdd, and the women I speak with all had mixed reviews. For some, it was wonderful. For most, it made their pmdd worse and they also had the same rage-suicidal feelings I was having. I also printed up the side of effects (one of them being suicidal thoughts!! Which was listed as a low percent chance of it happening, but if it did, get the iud removed immediately) I also kept a diary with dates to track my moods, and low and behold, the worst of it coincided with my menses. Now, I call to make an appt and was told I would have to wait two weeks (for an emergency removal, mind you) so the day finally comes, I show up on time, notebook in hand, print out of side and effects, ready to get this thing out of me, and I look at my phone to see they called me 10 minutes before my appt to tell me they need to reschedule based on the dr running late. I'm already in the waiting room, mind you. It's 12:45 and she wasn't even there yet. They have me come back at 2, as now I'm standing there in tears wondering if going to the er would have favored me better. With one last hope, I come back at 2, not to be even called in until 330. Some lie to be "the first person seen" as i watched many other angry women go ahead of me. The unorganization of this office is astronomical. Now I'm in the room, I explain to the nurse my situation, she asks me to undress as the dr would be in "any moment". I say there, naked and crying for another 45 minutes. Finally, the dr comes in. I calmly explain what has been going on, and she accuses me of not knowing what I'm talking about, rushed the entire procedure and her being in the office, her only advice to seek mental health support. She didn't care to see the research I had done or the notebook that carefully tracked my disruptive emotions by date and time. She couldn't be bothered but instead claimed it must be something else and went so far as to ask if I had a plan for my suicide, even with a small smirk on her face, then takes her gloves off and just walked out. Zero bedside manner, zero empathy for her patients, and zero patience. I waited all day to see her, to be treated like I was being seen as a favor. I'm not sure if the money got to her head (that place was packed) or if she's just burnt out, but whatever the reason, this joke of a dr needs to retire because her heart is very clearly not in it. I will never be setting foot back in that office, and I advise anyone reading this to stay far away. read more

I had poor experience with doctor Liberman. She is always late for her appointment, sometimes I have to wait for over an hour. While with the other Doctor in the same practice I never have to wait more than 10 minutes. A couple of times, I was in the patient room waiting and over heard she was chatting and joking on the phone for more than 15 minutes. Then she will come over with a big smile, but rushes me out in 5 minutes. Most recently she wrote a prescription for my birth control pill that does not allow pharmacy to provide alternative generic version. I did not know and sent the prescription to my health insurance mail order pharmacy. I ended up owing $150 for 3 months supply. That is it. It's time for me to change my OBGY. read more

I felt as though I could talk to her about anything without feeling the least bit uncomfortable. She has always has time for me during my appointments, never feeling rushed. This was by far the worst experience i have had with any doctor in my entire life ( I am 49 years old). Her exams were rushed, I had to remind her that I needed a script for a mammogram while she was on the phone with her child's preschool teacher and in general she seemed not at all concerned about helping me with my perimenopause symptoms. She always makes me feel comfortable, and explains everything and takes her time to answer any questions I may have. The staff and nurses are also extremely friendly as well. AWFUL. I waited over an hour for my appointment which I arrived right on time for. Once in the examination room, Dr. Lieberman rushed right through (extremely common for her as she has done this to friends and family members of mine in the past) and gave a HUGE attitude when I asked if she could speak with me regarding my medical worries. She rushed right out of the room, showed no empathy, and when I finally got to talk to her she forced me into having a blood test without asking what I, the patient, wanted. My medication was switched and Dr. Lieberman wouldn't tell me the pro's/con's of the new medication unless I specifically asked a question about it since she clearly did not have the time to sit down and explain it all. The whole process was rushed and I was even lectured about how "I sit here all day every day and here patients say the same thing about such-and-such medication and Im a great OBGYN so I know what I'm talking about." Well, doesn't that say it all. In addition, she lectured me on bringing in an unnecessary form to be faxed for my prescription, and again gave a huge attitude when I said I had never done this before. I asked the front desk who politely told me that the form Dr. Lieberman was talking about was not necessary now, or in the future and gladly processed the prescription for me. After the appointment I got a referral from a friend to a different/good doctor and will be switching immediately after this horrific experience. I shared this experience with my friends and family who will most definitely be switching as well. read more

Cara Lieberman delivered my son. She didn't even know who i was. Never came back to check on me. My sons lung collapsed when he was delivered by a C-section after 24 hours of labor. I couldn't hold him and I lost too much blood to have anyone come see me.. I was never given a medical reason for why it happened. Thank god for the Doctors at Winthrop they helped my son and he recovered after surgery and 5 days in the NICU. You would think Lieberman would have come in once to check on me or see how my son was doing! When I got the medical bill from the hospital.. it looked like they had checked on me a few times! it was a scam. All they want is your money! And will lie about visits to get it. Highly recommend Dr Cara Lieberman. Was at another doctor before, and I was not happy so I asked my family doctor to recommend me to somebody else. This way I got here at Dr Lieberman. Previous doctor told me that I was at an early menopause, she did not care to do more tests. Thanks to Dr Cara Lieberman, I hope I will be fine in the future. She suggested to do the hormone tests, the Prolactin came high, they sent me for further tests for MRI scan of the brain, they told me I have a tumor at the pituitary gland. Now I'm on Dostinex, after 4 weeks my periods are back. Hopefully the tumor will disappear too. read more

Dr Cara Lieberman is absolutely horrendous. Inefficient, incompetent, and makes too many mistakes. I made the mistake of going to her for my annual routine PAP test. She books so many patients at the same time, obviously to make more money, and saw me after having waited 2 hours on a weeknight. Other patients were complaining about the delayed wait time as well. Then she rushed through me and spoke to me for no more than 6 minutes. About a month later, I got a bill from her for $100. After 500 phone calls with her office, the lab, and my insurance company, I found out the mistake was made by lieberman's staff. She ordered and billed for the wrong code and I had to deal with headache of sorting through it. After finally settling the whole matter, I received the same bill AGAIN a month later. Cleary her staff is extremely incompetent!!! Although that is expected when you overbook patients. Totally inefficient, lack of professionalism, and a retarded staff. STAY AWAY FROM DR CARA LIEBERMAN's office!! I will be lodging a complaint against her, and possibly even bringing a lawsuit. read more
