Cara is our favorite Boston area photographer! Honestly, her prices are a little high (but comparable to other high quality photographers), but we have tried quite a few other, more affordable, photographers and the quality and style of her photos are well worth the price. You can get a great deal by booking a mini session during the fall or spring and guaranteed that in 20 minutes Cara will capture some astounding photos. I am always impressed with the photos she takes, since I always leave the session feeling like we bombed it. You would think after 4 sessions with her, I wouldn't be surprised anymore, but it is just the opposite! She gets better and better and her photos never disappoint! My family and I had Cara come to our home for a newborn session. To start, she was considerate and flexible in finding a time that worked best for the family. During the session, she did a great job at making all of us feel relaxed while having photos taken, including our new son. She was so sweet with him, and you can certainly tell she has kids of her own. Cara made sure the photos felt candid and did not stage or pose us, but still was able to capture beautiful shots. She was professional and prompt with finalizing our gallery and we are so happy with the end product. Cara went above and beyond! She's much more than your typical pose here and shoot photographer. She thinks about the artistic aspects of photos, what her client is looking for, how to make her client comfortable in front of the camera, and so on. I loved how flexible she was in terms of working with me with dates/times and with the location that I changed on her last second! We got an insane amount of amazing photos (I thought we'd have 10-20 good ones... nope, within 45 minutes she managed to get us hundreds that we love and that are all different!). I cannot express enough how happy I am with how our photos turned out. Just gorgeous and exactly what I was hoping for - I will never use another photographer! The last few times I used a professional I was a little disappointed. My two boys are impossible to capture. I have a nice Nikon myself and my brother is a photographer and neither of us has ever had much luck. The boys are just too active or they offer cheesy smiles.
