We found Vivid Life Experience posting through a Facebook group as I was backing out of having a very good friend take our photos. Arlyn and I connected and I loved her samples and the professionalism she showed, I was super glad she was able to squeeze us in even quite late in the wedding season (end of June 2019). I like how she was very organized and knew what shots to take, but also how to work with the bridal party - our groomsmen were very playful while my bridesmaids and I were more reserved to be sure! Arlyn was able to recommend a lovely spot, Bird Pond, to take pictures at near my wedding venue in Walpole. This definitely made our pictures much nicer with all the lovely greenery and was something I was hesitant to do because of scheduling but was the right choice. Very unfortunately, our photography time got cut short because of delays on my side keeping track of the bridal party (yikes). One of the things I most regret and hope to spare any bride reading this is to definitely no matter what, make more time for your family photos, especially when they have flown out to see you on such as special occasion. Those are the pictures you will look back on for decades. Also very unfortunately, my mom passed away unexpectedly a month after our wedding. I was grateful Arlyn was able to very quickly and compassionately offer photos of my mom at our wedding (usually it takes quite some time to edit and would not expect back) that we were able to show other friends and family, some of those last pictures and with her smiling so brightly. There would never be enough photos, but I wish of course now in hindsight that we had more, especially the candids. I think Arlyn and the team did a great job capturing all the little wedding details, making us look beautiful, and capturing the emotions of the day. I loved her vivid colors and she stayed true to the style I admired. My dress accidentally got stuck to my jeweled belt at one point, and Arlyn noticed and fixed it for me. There were some great pictures where it was stuck, Arlyn was kind enough to photoshop that part so that it was not noticeable when I asked her to (some people might not care, but I really wanted it). If there was any criticism, is I think I'm able to see which ones Arlyn took vs the second shooter, as the quality and lighting seems different in some of the shots especially indoors. If I could do it all over again, I'd prioritize more staged photo time, ask for family candids (probably show photos beforehand so they know who), and I would have done the engagement session to also get more comfortable (we had some from previous photographer). I think the loss of 45 minutes affected the photos we received, but something will always go wrong. Now that it has been almost a year and with some time, the regrets have faded and I'm glad we had a lot of great moments captured. I also had a talented videography that I'm glad we splurged on, so no regrets. Vivid Life Experience is a great choice if you want to be able to relax on your wedding day and know that you are in the hands of a pro. They were very accommodating and professional through out, and delivered at tremendous value for us. read more

Soooo we have used Vivid Life Photography now twice for our annual birthday pictures from our son. So I'll start with the first time. I was looking for someone to take 1st birthday pics for our son. It was his first birthday after being born early and being in the NICU. We wanted the pictures to tell a story. To talk about what he overcame in a year and how in love we were with him. So we contacted Arlyn (co-owner) and explained our vision. We wanted someone to know our story and to photograph this moment with that in mind. Well we were NOT disappointed. They were the perfect mixture of New England fall backdrop and cry your eyes out preemie success story. We used those pictures on everything and gave them to everyone. We knew right away we would do the same thing every year. This year (2020) we signed up for a mini shoot. During these uncertain times we wanted to keep some kind of tradition. Vivid life once again did not disappoint. She was safe! Kept her distance but yet still orchestrated an amazing photo shoot (not to mention it was kinda cold outside). This year our now toddler was not as cooperative. Arlyn was patient. She played peek-a-boo with him until he felt comfortable. She brought props and had us in and out with some great shots. Arlyn was an absolute pleasure to work with! We've had bad experiences with photographers in the past phoning it in and delaying their photos. Nothing like that this time! Before the shoot, Arlyn gave us advice about good spots to meet our wishes and the best times of days and clothes that would achieve the right look. At the shoot, she was patient and paid attention to detail. She would reshoot the pose if the sun wasn't just right or our clothes needed to be adjusted. I heard about Arlyn and Jovan on the "What to Expect" app. I had reached out to many photographers before contacting them and was extremely overwhelmed at the prices I was told by other companies. I just couldn't bring myself and my fiancé to pay almost $1000 for maternity photos. I was already super self conscious with my big pregnant belly and did not want to dish out that amount of money for someone to uncomfortably document it! But luckily, someone mentioned Vivid Life on an online thread and I could not have made a better decision! You absolutely cannot beat their prices and work quality, especially for being in the Boston area. They had an amazing maternity/newborn package that no one can beat!
