However, most of them are not 24 hours and close pretty early. The time I went here, it was because Carlo's cats needed to have a check-up because they were visibly uncomfy and we didn't know what to do. :( They have well-skilled doctors and staff. They are patient in explaining the situation and treatment for your furbaby. You can also see they are really concerned with the well-being of your furbaby (which is a quality I highly appreciate in a veterinarian). With Carlo's cats, our doctor found that it was because of something they ate and also that they were not drinking water. So, they were dehydrated. The diagnosis was a big relief for the both of us! Apart from being a clinic/hospital, they also do grooming and boarding. Yes, they have a "Pet Hotel." Though, I think the lodging is a bit expensive for the accommodation your furbaby will get. Honestly, Animal House is more expensive than the other clinics I have gone to. But, they do provide good "pet" service and care. That is hard to find in Makati.

He works out of Mount Sinai Veterinary Practice and also does house calls a few days a week. When we first moved to Manila our dog did not adjust well. She was not eating, depressed and frightened. When she did eventually eat, she would throw up or have diarrhea. One day the hair on her back stood up like she was frightened, but it was in a polka dot configuration. To calm her down I rubbed her back only to notice there were bumps covering her entire backside. That's why her hair was standing up! I immediately called Dr. Racky for a home visit. He rushed over and concluded that my dog had an allergic reaction to something. We couldn't quite figure out what so we had to eliminate her food items one by one until we figured it out. To this day we still don't know what it was or perhaps it was a combination of things, but we were just glad to have Dr. Racky readily available to treat our pup. She was well in no time after the much needed meds he gave her. I will not hesitate to call Dr. Racky the next time I need a vet and house calls make it so convenient.

Now, when your best friend's hooha gets inflamed and starts spitting out pus, your worry levels skyrocket. Thank the gods there was a quaint little veterinary office near our place with the nicest doctor who genuinely cared about her patients. Aside from making sure my dog got the treatment she needs, she also gave her a full grooming rundown. The don't just have food, they also have toys for the cat. Different toys! I felt like I was buying toys for a baby! After looking at the toys for some time, Ava showed me the grooming stuff for the cats. I never thought that I had to spray them just so they smell good and so that the flees won't get to them. I'm going back to this store today to buy lots of food for my cat and some more toys for it also. I'm hoping the items will be worth it as it is pretty pricey here.

You would think that he would be arrogant since he is a TV celebrity, but he is NOT. I definitely saw how much he loves and cares for animals. He was able to carry my niece's pomeranian (Pepper) that normally barks and dislikes having strangers carrying him. I very seldom have the opportunity of carrying Pepper. While Dr. Donato was carrying Pepper, he showed me all of Pepper's allergic reaction locations. He gave me information regarding the causes of the hyperpigmentation. He then proceeded to show me a website that that had an image of Pepper's diagnosis. Dr. Donato also carried my niece's toy poodle (Nacho). I was worried because Nacho was constantly scratching himself, whenever he wasn't walking around. He would scratch himself to sleep, and then wake up scratching. Since the scratching started when the dog food was changed, Dr. Donato suggested to change both Pepper and Nacho's dog food to a no grain salmon dog food. He walked with us to their reception area which had numerous dog food and treat options. He recommended three different brands, but he also told us what he would choose for the pets. Of course, we chose the one that he would choose. We then walked back to the office to continue the consultation. I have had numerous pets and have gone to a few veterinary clinics. Once I find a good veterinarian, I continue using the same one. My niece has 3 Pomeranians from a local breeder, and 2 Pomeranians from Korea. Nacho is her only toy poodle that is from Korea. She has a veterinarian that does house calls. They go to Vets in Practice for a second opinion and their clinic's services. I appreciate that BSF always treats things very seriously and research the symptoms e.g. my dog had a little heat stroke because my aircon wasn't working. 5 min after he walked into the vet with nice cold air he became his old self again. Regardless, the vet did all the necessary test and offered to cut his nails for free. One time we found a little kitten by the side of the street that was run over by a bike. The vet helped us to put the kitten to sleep since the x-rays said it couldn't be saved anymore. They gave us a good discount since it wasn't our cat. They are compassionate and understanding here and the place smells and looks clean.

For example, Vibravet paste (a sort of doxycycline antibiotic engineered as a more forgiving medicine paste for pets) costs close to 500 pesos. Well, I can get the same paste in Pet Express for 175 pesos. Inflation game too strong. But for what it's worth, you can just step out with your pet's prescription and purchase them right away. You can go home with your meds, then. But if you're a cheapskate like me, go forth and look for another place to get your meds. I guess I just like that they sell premium and specialty diet food here for animals, as long as it doesn't actually run out on you. I remember the time when I was desperate for k/d (both kibbles and canned). I got the last bunch from here and I worried how long it'll last. It's hard being an animal parent, huh?
