We visited Doc Nielsen at his hospital located in Mandaluyong, Vets In Practice, another establishment worthy of a 5-star review of its own. Doc Nielsen found out that there was a minor fracture on my doggie's spine which may need surgery when left untreated. He suggested to take the less invasive approach and give him steroids and plenty of nourishment instead. A few weeks later, my doggie was all better jumping and running like crazy. More than healing our dog, you can really see his genuine love for animals once you see him in action. I still remember how he pet my dog before we left the hospital in such a caring way, he said "hope you get better soon buddy". Thanks Doc Nielsen!

We wondered what to do next with her lifeless remains on the table. We stayed in the room and tried contacting pet afterlife services. Fortunately, we were able to find one. As we exited the room on our way to the parking lot, carrying our beloved pet's body, we passed by the reception area where the VIP's frontline personnel were seated. They just looked blankly at us. No condolences or any word of sympathy -- no nothing, as if they were completely oblivious to our profound sadness and despair. We wondered why they could be so unsympathetic and so indifferent. Shouldn't the clinic's staff have at least said: Sir/Ma'am, condolences po?" This was at least we expected of them. But they just stared blankly without saying anything. We were so disappointed. The usual lazy staff who just keep my pet locked in a cage with IV. Did not even care and bother at my pet. No blanket whatsoever to keep it warm. My pet is able to stand up when I left it at clinic. I try to feed it with water before I bring it to the clinic. Just after 3 hours in their care, the clinic called me to tell me that my pet died. So neglectful. I ask other doctors opinion and I was told that it probably died from severe dehydration. I should have just bring my pet home with me. I could have save its life by not leaving it at this cruel clinic. DO NOT GO TO THIS CLINIC FOR CONFINEMENT THEY ARE IRRESPONSIBLE.

My dog got surgery there jan 20 bec of a growth outside his anus which may be benign or malignant. They even offered me to do castration as well which to me makes sense para isahan nalang yung recovery process but its kinda weird that they are quick to offer a service wherein the oatient is a senior dog akready. Even to people when it comws to surgery its tricky na especially for seniors. They are also quick to add stuff to your bill without doing the correct process of making sure if my dog can handle it. Long story short, my dog pulled thru with 2 surgeries like a champ. He had to be confined of course but they are pushing for anotjer days stay thays plus.3200 when my dog is ok naman na. They even lied to me saying na matamlay daw yung aso ko pero hindi naman. There are a lot of red flags like...the branch is renovated pero mabaho pa rin..somethings really wrong. And this is what made me mad. After surgery may sugat it has to be cleaned 2x a day. When i hot my dog the morning after they cleaned him na so ill do the cleaning in the evening. Which i failed to do bec they used heavy duty masking tape on the wound. Is that even standard practice???? Havent they jeard of 3M medical tape with varied thickness?? I paid more than 20k and they have the nerve to use MASKING TAPE on my dog??? And they keep telling me that my dog has cancer and they are ready to discuss chenotherapy packages with me WITHOUT biopsy results. The first time I really paid a visit to Pet House was when my hamster was sick and the resident vet, Mayet, was kind enough to offer some tips and suggest a medicine with free drops - and no vet fee for my little pet. Seeing how genuine of a vet she is, I selected her as my dog's vet, having had this experience with her in the past. Now speaking of their vet services, I must say the service is really good. Vet Mayet and the other vets and their assistants in the branch are very helpful and knowledgeable when it comes to handling pets and diagnosing if there is any problem. Dogs are also given the utmost in service as they often recommend routine check-ups for vaccinations or deworming and flea and tick prevention. While they add a date, what I really like about them is that they make sure the owners know when the schedule is as they text you on the morning of the scheduled appointment. Overall, I can never think of having another vet for my furry pal. While their rates vary and depending on the medicine and what size of dog you have, I have to say that their prices range between affordable to expensive (dog medicine imported from the US can become quite a stretch for the wallet), but if you're talking about your dog's overall health, price shouldn't be a problem.

The staff there, especially the ones who bathe the cute little and big dogs, are very kind. They are patient and really do a great job in trimming dogs' hair and nails. They also inform you via text message once your dog has already been groomed, so that you won't have to stay for too long in the shop or come back every now and then to check. When you claim your dog back and you don't like something, just tell the groomers and they'll patiently address your needs!

However, most of them are not 24 hours and close pretty early. The time I went here, it was because Carlo's cats needed to have a check-up because they were visibly uncomfy and we didn't know what to do. :( They have well-skilled doctors and staff. They are patient in explaining the situation and treatment for your furbaby. You can also see they are really concerned with the well-being of your furbaby (which is a quality I highly appreciate in a veterinarian). With Carlo's cats, our doctor found that it was because of something they ate and also that they were not drinking water. So, they were dehydrated. The diagnosis was a big relief for the both of us! Apart from being a clinic/hospital, they also do grooming and boarding. Yes, they have a "Pet Hotel." Though, I think the lodging is a bit expensive for the accommodation your furbaby will get. Honestly, Animal House is more expensive than the other clinics I have gone to. But, they do provide good "pet" service and care. That is hard to find in Makati.

It's just recently that they've opened a full-on low cost veterinary clinic at Mandaluyong from a purely Kapon clinic before back in Singalong, Manila. The usual rate for spaying and neutering your pets in most veterinary clinics would more often than not NOT go below 5000 pesos. But CARA's rate falls a little less than a thousand for cats and a little more than a thousand for dogs. This has encouraged a lot of pet owners in the metro to go ahead with the surgery of their pets, not only because of its healthful benefits but also because of its affordability. The clinic rates aren't bad too. You can get a CBC test for less than a thousand, deworming starting at 150 pesos, vaccination starting at 400 pesos and lots more. They also offer quality boarding services starting at 250 a night. Hospital confinement is also an option here, but on a case to case basis. They don't offer grooming services though, but with CARA's increasingly fast growth in the recent years, maybe they would soon enough. Oh, did I mention that the organization houses a lot of adorable kitties and doggies needing homes? If you're looking for a wonderful bundle of love to add to your family, CARA is always open for adopters. Animal lovers are all welcome to volunteer and help out!

After 4 weeks at ₱20,000+, they haven't fully resolved my cats concern and advised to go to a cat specialist, my cat no longer wants to eat and after my cat staying confined to the pet hospitale a lot of fur is missing from the back legs of the cat. I tried to raise my concerns to the staff and they were not willing to take accountability for what happened to my cat, I asked 4 times to speak to the owners and when the staff eventually got the owners to speak to me, they were rude and their first line was "I am an attorney and we will speak first". I have since taken my cat to the cat specialist who when seeing the state of the cats legs have informed me that a cat shouldn't be in the state he is based on the treatment he received. I trusted this pet hospital to make my cat better not worse and now I am paying extra to make my cat better. Additional FYI I have waited for 3 weeks+ for the owners to discuss with me the level of care my cat received and 3 weeks on they haven't had the decency to make that connection to discuss what happened which makes me think; * They think it's acceptable what happened to my cat in their care * They don't care what happened to my cat in their care * They are just after the money and have no care for animals
