They got it done within a day and I couldn't even tell that it had been resized, there was absolutely no marking visible to the naked eye. The shop itself was small but seemed to have a great selection of unique jewelry. If I ever need a ring resized, or need to have jewelry custom-made I will definitely come to this shop!

When I said I just wanted the price corrected, not a refund because I liked the earrings he started name calling. shocked at his behaviour I decided to just take the refund and leave, he tried to lock me inside the store. He only let go when I started dialing 911; his wife opened the door. He kept cursing at me as I walked out. Verify the karat yourself before buying anything here, AND BE READY FOR HOSTILITY IF YOU QUESTION THEIR PRODUCT . I have documentation of this interaction and intend to press charges for attempting to lock me in and unethical business practices. I recently had my engagement ring shank re-built by Vandenberg's (it was really thin due to it…read morehaving been re-sized twice). I went to them not because I had ever used them before, but, I had dropped by in the past to ask about having some older pieces of jewelry re-made into something new, and they had been very patient and friendly and took the time to speak with me. This time was no different. The very nice sales associate took the time to explain to me exactly how the rebuilding process worked, explained that I could get a gold credit for the portion of the shank they were cutting out (including showing me how it's calculated), and gave me what I thought was a reasonable quote (which ended up being quite accurate as my cut out shank wasn't worth very much in the end). I was able to pick up my ring within the same week that I dropped it off. They did a great job - you can't tell at all where the new shank was soldered, and the shiny rose gold matched my original wedding bands exactly (as it should; they also offered to clean the rest of my bands, which was really nice). They do appraisals there as well ($60/piece) and they do it there in their store, so there is no need to worry about it getting sent away to a potentially less-than-reputable third party. I wasn't able to have my ring re-appraised as the person who does it (possibly the owner?) was away on vacation, but I do plan to come back to have it and other pieces appraised.

It looks like a two-person team runs the store (a man and a woman) and both times I visited they were very patient and friendly, and I felt none of the attitude I have experienced from staff at other stores. When I purchased a necklace, it was cleaned for me before being put in a box, and when I mentioned off hand that my engagement ring was dirty, the saleswoman took it back for cleaning and offered the free cleaning service to me at any time I wanted.
