Its a easy stop over on my way to Columbia. A few yrs ago they decided to start letting local artist use the space for murals. They do have some cute coffee shops, walking trails and lot of murals popping up. The city does a good job of keeping it clean and maintaining the outdoor spaces. I need to check out the walking trails in the near future. Hopefully Cayce will continue to grow, and they will add more unique things to do for all ages. I love visiting small towns to support the locals and the gems that can be found. Dont forget to check out all the murals. Columbia has a wonderful website that list all the murals in Lexington, Cayce and Columbia! Great resources a click away online. Spend time in your local areas, share tips, support the locals. It is a safe environment with plenty of people out walking, plus it's dog friendly. Beautiful scenery and homes along the trail and not to mention you're surrounded by water and the sound of the stream will keep you going. I did see a few people out riding bikes as well. I'm a biker myself, but didn't think that the trail was large enough for large groups on bikes. But then again, are most trails ever?? If you're in the area please do plan to check it out and go for a stroll. Parking is limited, but also available down the street.

If you are handicapped you will likely miss a few of the statues because they didnt appear very accessible. Martin Luther King Jr. Park was an awesome public park, both for the way it honored Dr. King's…read morelegacy, as well as providing a nice public space and geographical information for city residents. I went to the park on MLK Day 2026 (1/19/26) and was happy to see that others had already stopped by to lay flowers and place a wreath at the park, and pay their respects to Dr. King. I took one lap around the park and liked reading the plaques about wetlands and detention ponds, as well as looking at some other symbolic markers around the park. To conclude, this is a great public park, and I'll definitely be back in the future to walk around and collect my thoughts. Not far from the bars and restaurants in the Five Points area, this park is bisected by a small…read morebrook (bigger than a stream, not quite a creek) with a large fountain on a brick path. There are a number of benches and picnic tables which would make this a good spot for bringing lunch from nearby. There did seem to be a small population of residentially-challenged but they kept to themselves and I was able to enjoy the park today. The large fountain is pretty and there are some other tributes to the late Doctor King including a stone carved with a small portion of one of his more famous speeches. There is some street parking.
