They use King Trivia for their trivia night, which includes the use of cellphones to create teams, share questions and submit answers. Be sure to have your phone charged before the event. The good thing is that only one person on your team has to run the app. There are prizes for the top teams. The trivia crowd is lively, competitive and always respectful. In addition to the trivia, I've had a chance to try some of their food offerings as well as their drinks. The Brussels sprouts and pretzel bites are a solid choice, especially when sharing with vegetarians. The wings were also really good, even without the sauce. Onion rings are very crunchy and good. The corn dogs are very good. The hotdog inside is bacon wrapped and they drizzle the batter with a sweet syrup that tasted like maple syrup and had a slice of jalapeño on top. One corn dogs and half the burger made me really full. Their cold water is so good, I think I drank like 6-7 cups total before and after eating. There is also a live entertainment while we dine. The restroom is well stocked and clean. There is also a lounge area where anyone can sit, relax, drink and watch some sport games. I will appreciate it more if pets and their owner dine in outside the main area. They may not notice it but the dogs have certain smell that some people don't like to smell while eating ( like me ). All in all it is good. The servers are fast. They check on you and ask if there is anything that they can do for you. Napkins, utensils and to go boxes are available on the counter. They have a good selection of beers on draft even thought there are about 8 beers on their rotation. All pretty local and brewed by farm house collective and a local brewery called route 30. They have everything except for stouts and ales. Andrew hooked us up with some good cold ones ;) It's a pretty chill bar. The place itself offers a space for football and ping pong along with a lot of seating around. This a great place to get a drink, hang out and watch as there are TVs all around as well as the big screen on stage. Overall would come back just to get a cold beer and a hot day!

After visiting Farmhouse Collective for a few times now, we enjoy coming to see what new stores…read morethat are opening. The parking lot here is fairly small, so you must be careful driving here. When there is overflow, people park in the lot nearby. We coincidentally waltzed across this little bar/beer when exploring the farmhouse area, wondering what new businesses were being open. We noticed a few people drinking and wondered where their drinks came from. Turns out there was an open bar already in the back, located near the large TV stage, towards the left. To play ping pong or foosball, you'd end up asking this shack for the equipment. They are responsible for taking in the furniture and equipment, even when it rains. When we came up, it seemed like a cute little shack. It was cleanly decorated with an array of beers, sodas, and snacks. Andrew was our beertender/bartender that was super friendly and helpful. He had explained when this bar opened and how it all started. He was quick to provide services to us and tell us stories. He actually let us know what hours the business had, too. I think this place is a must especially if you're looking for casual drinks and a nice time near the furniture. Because of the cute design and friendly vibes, I'd absolutely recommend this place. Although I live in the hotbed of craft beer, the events that take place in our neck of the woods…read morenever seem to be: a) set on a day that I can make it or b) affordable. Taste of Brews, on the other hand, landed on a perfect day and was reasonably priced for the high quality samples I experienced. I find it difficult to recall all that I tried, though I can say I passed over the stations that were poring strictly IPA's. The folks doing the sampling were all great and clearly excited to be there. Crowd was under control and relatively friendly. My knocking down a couple of stars comes from the organizers of this event. Here's why: - Though the entrance to the event was obvious, there was much confusion once you walked up. You had to track down a specific event staffer to get your wrist band, turn around--wrist band secure--and get back in line to wait to get in. No clear signage or direction by most of the event staff (contracted or working for the event organizer) as to where to go or what to do when you arrived. Most unfortunate folks ended up in the line to get in before they even got their wrist bands, ending up losing their spot in line when they had to leave to get said wrist bands before they can get in to the event - I felt the two different tasting times (three hour versus four hour) was silly. I imagine it has to do with crowd control, but considering most of the four hour folks were arriving with three hours to taste, it became pointless. That, paired with the difficulty on the event site of trying to find when you could start your tasting was tough. Also, most breweries were closing up shop by three, an hour in advance of the four pm cut off time - Not nearly enough bathrooms. By miles - Event site claimed that, "free parking available in the structure across the street." Low and behold, it was closed except for those with a parking pass. According to the security guard posted, it had been free the year before, but not this one. Cutting and pasting event info from one year to the next is amateur hour Overall, it wasn't a terrible event. But, from a former event organizer's perspective, the planning of key elements missed several marks. Perhaps they'll consider this before their next event.

Taste of Brews are great organizers. This time they were at White Park in Riverside. I got their…read moreearly admission tickets and as soon as I got in line they scanned my tickets and gave me a wrist band. The group was let in exactly on time and there were many breweries serving up some of their best. They had a good variety of Southern California brews as well as some out of state. Taste of Brews unlike other such event organizers also has local restaurants provide food samples - Yumm!! The cover band was great and added to the overall ambiance that included fun beer loving people. All in all this was a well orchestrated event. Can't wait for the next one.
