The ambiance is well created with the dim lights, lit bar, and sounds of ice being shaken. My fiancé and I were seated right at the middle of the bar upon opening, and our bartender named Chris (?) was extremely welcoming with a sense of humor. He gave us an ample of amount of time to review the menus. We first got an IPA and the Love me Knot. For food, we ordered some Cajun fries and the party wings with red chimichurri sauce. The wings were fantastic! The fries were very crunchy, and I wish they were a tad bit softer. For our next round of drinks, we got the Old Fashioned and the Bee's Knees. The drinks were right on par. We left after a few hours and found ourselves quite satisfied. It was a fun experience and the monthly change of words above the liquor wall is always a conversation starter. The bartenders were very friendly and when they weren't busy, we had a little convo. I ordered the Interlude, which had a carrot element to it. The drink is orange! It looked and sounded really interesting and it was very tasty! The interior feels a little minimalist which gives it a clean elegance. There are definitely some elements of decor that scream 'hip', haha. It's in what looks to be a law office, there's a marquee where they change up the words often, etc. I think they're missing Edison light bulbs and I don't think their folks are required to wear tweed waistcoats. But I point these things out with slight tongue in cheek and endearingly. I'm a fan of the vibe here. I was in the area for dinner, so I stopped by this place for a drink before hand. I have been coming to wolfskill for nearly 8+ years and I must say it still is my favorite place to be in DTR. The lights are always dimmed and give a moody romantic vibe. Each bartender here or mixologist if they prefer, takes their job seriously and crafts each drink with care. I don't think I've ordered a well drink from here but I can say that a whiskey sour WITH the egg is delicious. If you haven't tried it, please do. From old fashions to pho-tinis you will always have some delicious drink to pick from. Parking is typically easy since it is a few blocks from DTR . They have a little marquee sign that changes the quotes daily. At times they have themes and have some amazing quotes. I always snap a photo when I'm there( if my phone isn't dead). They also have a cute make out booth to take photos with your friend, date or whomever. It's cash only so be sure to bring extra funds so you can get some cute pics.
