Yesterday, my husband and I had a date. We dine in at this place for lunch. We ordered their burger, onion rings and corn dog ( 3 pieces in an order ). We split the burger and find it good. Onion rings are very crunchy and good. The corn dogs are very good. The hotdog inside is bacon wrapped and they drizzle the batter with a sweet syrup that tasted like maple syrup and had a slice of jalapeño on top. One corn dogs and half the burger made me really full. Their cold water is so good, I think I drank like 6-7 cups total before and after eating. There is also a live entertainment while we dine. The restroom is well stocked and clean. There is also a lounge area where anyone can sit, relax, drink and watch some sport games. I will appreciate it more if pets and their owner dine in outside the main area. They may not notice it but the dogs have certain smell that some people don't like to smell while eating ( like me ). All in all it is good. The servers are fast. They check on you and ask if there is anything that they can do for you. Napkins, utensils and to go boxes are available on the counter. Visited Hangar again, for Happy Hour, and ordered their tacos (asked for onions and cilantro on the side due to allergy), Mozzarella sticks and Mustang fries. Everything was really good and my favorite taco was the carne asada. The meat was extremely tender and not overly salted, just really good! The Mozzarella sticks were cheesy and had a lovely texture on the outside. The Mustang fries are always a favorite, though I did notice the portions are smaller for these, and the "special sauce" was lacking this time around, so I'll ask for more next time. We enjoyed the crispy texture of the fries. They still have lunch specials and good Happy Hour prices and food/drink options. Well mixed drinks, certain beers and wines are $6. We had a great time at Hangar 24 in Riverside! The atmosphere was lively, the staff was friendly, and the craft beer and burgers were excellent. We also caught a duo called Michael Jay & Leticia, and they sounded like a full band. They played a great mix of country favorites, including Ella Langley's "Choosin' Texas," and had the whole place rocking. I have heard so much about Hangar 24 since it opened and I am so excited to have finally been able to try it! I have to say, standing in line to order was definitely something new for me (particularly at a sit-down restaurant/bar), but it wasn't too bad at all. There were many people still walking around to check on you, clean your table, and place any drink orders if you wanted some, so that was great!! There were plenty of different seating options available and there was even a couch area and games to hang out and play with friends! I got the American Burger with Cajun fries (up charge) and I thought it was one of the best burgers I have ever had! The bun was sooo soft and fluffy and there wasn't an overwhelming amount of veggies on it like some places do! I also ate the ENTIRE thing (which I don't normally do!). The burgers and similar types of food looked good, I definitely wouldn't recommend the pacific rim bowl I got -- it was just over cooked mushy rice with steamed frozen vegetables and dry chicken. The pickle fries were good but for $15, not really worth it in my opinion. If you're coming here for a burger, fries, and beers with friends to hang out with activities, then that's probably the way to go here. We walked in, grabbed seating on the patio and were promptly greeted by several staff, It was lively, but still chill. They have menus available at the front entrance, and then you walk up to the bar area to order food and beers. We tried the corn dogs wrapped in bacon and then battered in house and served with honey and jalapeños - they were so good! I wish the bacon had a little more texture to it but we all loved them! The burger with a peach onion jam was different and delicious. We all really enjoyed the sweet and savory flavors together. The cajon fries and tots were both crunchy, hot and winners too. The fish tacos were good. The fish was a little dry on one of the tacos, but the others were good. The salsa they were served with was great and pulled it together nicely! And definitely go with the corn tortillas. We accidentally got flour when ordering, and ended up just asking the server for corn and switched them over - much, much better on the corn! The fennel peach flat bread was also really good; would definitely order it again. And the kid's meals were good too. And, as always, the beers - always good! Upon entering the queue is to the right. They have paper menus stacked for you grab. There are multiple registers like the Redlands one. Therefore, the line moves quickly. oktoberfest 4/5 - i would get it again. solid beer. bloody mary 4/5 - it was fine.. good..not great patty melt 5/5 - soooo good. I think if they added a side of pickled yellow chiles it would be phenomenal There was plenty of seating inside and outside. They have a stage for what they call "piano duel". They have some TV's in the outdoor patio.. but they are small and you can only see it if you're seated near them. This place used to be the go to place for trivia on Tuesdays. Lately though they seem to be going through some changes. On its own, that's great, we love to see a place growing and attracting new clientele. However, they seem to be attracting new clientele at the expense of the old ones. Trivia used to be inside and would draw a pretty good sized crowd, but now they have moved it outside while also running open mic night inside. Since we've been having triple degree heat, sitting outside has been pretty miserable, not to mention the sound from open mic competing with the sound from trivia and then to top it all off also competing with the sound from the summer nights concerts. Overall the changes have been communicated poorly and has left many feeling like it's not the place for them. As our group has started attending other places for trivia, we're finding that there's other places nearby that are cheaper, more attentive, and have good food which is a shame because we really used to like this place. read more
