I saw this salon online and really felt like it was a cookie cutter type of salon focusing on blonding. Boy was I wrong, i was able to sit for a haircut with Alyssa and get my hair dyed by Kaitlyn who were attentive and listened to what I was looking for. I wanted a bit of dimension while still being brunette as I have naturally dark and flat hair... and I loved how the results turned out. I think the ladies there are very sweet and for someone like me who doesn't talk much in these types of settings, they made me feel comfortable with asking questions about their process. I researched hair salons for almost 2 years because I've been wanting a balayage but could not find the right stylist. I found Allison on FB and saw her work. I can tell you I had naturally pure black hair and it took MANY hours and hard work to achieve my blond balayage. It was well worth it. Makayla cut my hair and she did a great job. I came in with a couple of pictures and she went from there. I am super picky about my hair and Makayla made me feel comfortable and she did a really nice job! I will definitely be booking with her in the future. So I recently got my hair done here and I have to say the experience was something I FULLY regret. I was told by the specialist that my hair would have and hold curl but it did exactly the opposite! Parts of my hair are still straight. They lied and told me what I wanted to here to get my money even though they knew my hair wasn't going to do what I wanted. I paid $300 and did all she asked of me (condition, expensive products, etc) and nothing is changing the fact that it didn't get curled at all. I tried being reasonable and waiting it out but they refuse to give me anything back and only offered to cut more of my hair off(after have told me that wouldn't even work). I don't know what else to do but I'm pretty aggravated.. unless you're getting a simple cut I don't recommend this salon at all read more

I moved from Chicago and this is the third salon I have been to since my arrival to The Woodlands area. I cannot tell you how many tears I have cried over my hair since being in Texas. I went to an Aveda salon in Chicago for close to 10 years (such a great salon) and thought that Aveda salons would be consistent across the country...oh, goodness, no. The first Aveda salon thinned my beautiful thick hair (didn't ask first) and the second literally left my perfect level 9/10 blonde balayage locks Bozo red and patchy. The senior colorist "tried" three times to bleach (she used developer, I later learned, which, of course, will never lead to the level of tone to create a blonde balayage) my very bleach-able hair before telling me "good luck" after attempting a shadow root, as for the third, thank God. Jessy at Carbon Salon literally saved my hair before my vacation and I will be forever grateful. Jessy was an absolute professional gem throughout my hair processing; she was knowledgeable, honest, and kind. Jessy did nothing without telling me first, which is something I needed after so many failed attempts to get my hair right. After my previous Texas salon colorists wanted me to know their whole life stories, Jessy wanted to know as much about me as I wanted to about her (again, super professional). Of course, that tied into my preferences with my hair color, cut, and style. Jessy took the time to listen to me and delivered a completely polished hair style that left me crying happy tears. The other thing about Carbon Salon is that each individual working there loves their job, and it shows. I have a lot of hair and it took quite a bit of time to complete, but Jessy never once made me feel like I was inconveniencing her or slowing her down. Instead, she was insanely organized and, if the other professionals noticed a need to keep things moving with my hair journey, they volunteered to help. I walked away blown away by the kindness and professionalism of the staff, aesthetic of the salon, and above all, the results. As long as I am in Texas, I will be a client of Carbon Salon. I read the reviews and I don't agree with them at all. This is by far the best salon I've ever been to! The hair stylists are super friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable! I have gone 4ish times now at this point (I lost track) and I absolutely have the most luxurious experience every time I go! I absolutely love my stylist, Madison! She really knows her stuff and my hair looks like perfection every time I go to her! My hair has definitely improved (not as tangled and much more soft) due to her product recommendations! I went to this salon for the first time today. They not only ruined my hair and did not give me what I asked for at all, but also are extremely unsafe in their practices. They got chemicals in my eye while dying my hair, on my $350 boot, my hair is breaking off and falling out, and I left with hot pink hair after explicitly stating multiple times I could not have bright/unnatural hair for my job. my natural current pattern is ruined after being made to sit with bleach on my hair for over TWO HOUR. After refusing to pay, they harassed my mother into paying them citing they would contact the police regarding my lack of payment. If you care about your health safety or hair do not go here. So disappointed today. I took the day off for my personal beauty treatment and it was a total rush job. Normally the services are great and the shampoo massage is to die for. Not today. Worst of all the water was cold. When I asked for warmer they said the hot water was "broken". You are a hair salon. It's January. Nothing like sitting with a wet hair in January while other clients take priority over the appointment you scheduled weeks in advance. It's a lot of money to be treated like second class. If I wanted a quickie cut I would have gone to super cuts. I did not. I wanted full salon treatment: highlights, cut, style--and that previously glorious shampoo. It's sad that I may have to reconsider my options because it's hard to find a stylist you like. read more

The owner followed up with me and was very understanding. I didn't want to make a hassle or cause a big deal, but she assured me that she herself would handle it and that it would be amazing. Color By Allison Price: $225 Processing Time: 6 Hours I really wanted to love this salon! I've been driving to the far end of 1488 and was looking for someone who could do an awesome job in town. I called and was able to get in right before Christmas due to a cancellation. The decoration and arrangement of how things are done was beautiful! Color bar in the middle followed by processing and separate washing rooms. The stylist was super friendly and made the experience fun. I showed her a picture from her Instagram page of what I wanted my hair to look like. She said it could be done and so the process began. I'm attaching a picture of what I showed her and what I ended up getting. I was really disappointed that per the stylist suggestion she colored my root color lighter- which caused my hair severe breakage and now looks super fried! They're is random black splotches of pieces of my root that she missed all over my head. I hated that 5 different assistant stylists began my blow out process. It made it super awkward! That day they had some drama going on- (one girl really did not want to do a blow out). After she passed on the job of styling my hair she yells to the new assistant her hair does not hold curls! It made me feel uncomfortable. For the price this was totally not worth it. I received a phone call last week asking about how I felt- I expressed that I was not happy- and was scheduled an appointment with the same stylist for tomorrow. I called and cancelled - I just can't bear to have my hair fried again. read more

Noel was my stylist and she did an excellent job. I hadn't had my hair cut in over a year and a half, so I was feeling a bit nervous and indecisive about what I wanted. I gave her a general idea with a couple of pictures and she explained what she had in mind and why it would work for my hair type.
