Stopped here to get my front end alignment and was taken right in. Right away the sales guy said if…read morethere's additional parts we will have to discuss those when it comes up. If I refuse to have the repairs done they don't guarantee the alignment. So the guy took my truck in and came back about 15 minutes later saying that I need needed both the upper and the lower joints and it would be $800. I refused the additional work and they did my alignment as best they could, anyway so they said. Upon leaving I paid my $69 and got a receipt but what was lacking was the computer print out of what work they actually did. When I asked him for the form that comes with the alignment and shows what and how many adjustments they made they said they couldn't not print it up for me because a printer was out of ink. So how do I really know what work was done? I again ask them and they said well you can go to the alignment machine and take a picture of what we did for your records so that's what I ended up doing. I am somewhat dissatisfied with that aspect of the work being that there is no real verification of what was actually done to my vehicle, for all I know I paid 69.00 bucks and the truck still the same. We are new to Brownsville and had already hired a mobile mechanic he came out and gave me a quote. I agreed. He never showed back up. I called and text him numerous it was Constantly next week , he never came to do the work. It was a pretty large job and the quote was very high-still I agreed because we needed it. Finally after waiting 3 months I was desperate and sick of door Dashing everything. I found Tachos and saw really good reviews so I called. They said bring it in! No waiting no delay just bring it in. So we dropped the truck off Wednesday after his closing time - he WAITED FOR US! We got a quote and agreed he agreed to do the repairs. He had our truck repaired THE NEXT DAY! He replaced the entire manifold and all the bolts in one day. He charged only half Of what I was quoted by the first mechanic. Best mechanic ever- and we have bass boat mechanics, lawn mower repair man, etc now I have to find mechanic for those too . I sincerely wish he worked on everything- he would get all of our business.
