This is a lovely bar, wrapping around two sides and leading from the lobby to the dining area. Our bartender was a mature gentleman who clearly knew his way around a bar. We were pursuing a filled happy hour passport, as the Tropicana has one at every bar and restaurant in the massive casino. He was happy to oblige. Today's deal was $7 aperol spritz and Perini draft. We also ordered a three shrimp cocktail ($3.50 each) and a $10 Antipasti platter. This happy hour was the sleeper hit of our two weeks, I didn't expect such a lovely experience. The shrimp were plump crisp and cold, the cocktail sauce pungent and highly seasoned. But the Antipasti platter was fabulous and we loved every bite of the prosciutto, roasted red peppers, chunks of hard cheese and a lovely fruit compote to smear on toasted baguette. Since we were hopping to another happy hour we didn't stay for dinner. But this lovely restaurant deserves another visit on our next trip to Atlantic City!

Walking to the restaurant, we walked through a nice looking hotel bar. Once inside the restaurant, it's decorated very nicely with a large glass chandelier in the main dining room. The hostess shows us to our table and the waiter introduces himself. (He's calling me boss? It's a little off) I asked the waiter for a wine list. I don't need to get a bottle of wine, we're on a time limit so we ordered two wines by the glass. I ordered a Italian sangiovese wine, the bartender gave us a proper pour. Great wine to start our meal. My waiter said he's working with a team to serve us tonight. Those guys were all over us! Great customer service, they were constantly at our table. To start, we shared a large portion of Calamari Fritti. The Calamari was delicately fried, it was cooked perfectly. For my main entree I ordered the Scallops with Bucatini. The scallops, again, kudos to the chef. The scallops had a nice sear and were cooked perfectly. The bucatini was tossed in a light sauce which added to the overall dish. You never want to have aged cheese on fresh fish, Capriccio made me a great dish. I was so full, I couldn't fit in dessert. We had a great meal at Capriccio, I recommend this restaurant when looking for dining options in Atlantic City.

I got the scallops and bacon. Although it was good bacon, the flavor from the thick slices overpowered the scallops flavor. Scallops were perfectly cooked, though. For entrees, I got the duck and my husband ordered the filet. The duck was a little overcooked and I expected the skin to be a but more crispy, but it tasted good with the berry compote. The Brussels sprouts were ok, but the roasted potatoes were inedible - hard little overcooked wedges tasted like old fries. Server rectified it with a giant sweet potato, just like you'd get at a Texas Roadhouse, but with no toppings except butter. Nothing to write home about.
