The job was on the small side so Curtis and his amazing crew were able to finish the job in one day. They installed a curtain drain (buried) throughout my yard, and a sump pump in my basement. The sump pump is also tied to the new drain system. Looking at my yard after the job you can't tell they were here. Curtis and his crew were able to save my sod and put it back over parts of the drainage system! They were fast and super clean! In short; -It took them much longer to finish once started than promised -My window well is crooked -The egress cover doesn't fit properly (looks haphazard) -My irrigation system is still leaking due to carelessness (not from the digging actually) Additional concerns; -Basement wall interior has many chunks missing from it now. (fixed) -Irrigation system cover damaged during backfill (dirt was just laid on ground, not on a tarp or piece of wood as I was told it would be). -Dirty/no post job clean up in basement. I removed the rubble myself, a mess still remains. -Instead of leaving the backfill dirt as promised, they took it all, so the soil around the window is depressed again. I have a home sound system and the day of the measurement, I asked the gentleman if my plans to run wires are around the perimeter of the room would work for installation. I was told yes, no problem. I spent several hours running the wires and securing the to the subfloor. I took pictures of what I had done and took them to the Korfage location and showed them to the same gentleman that had done the measurements and he again assured me that was not a problem. Day of installation and the installers arrive and tell me those wires were absolutely not going to work. I watched as they pulled all the wires I had carefully laid and ran them down the center of the floor which I had tried to avoid as I feared they will be visible after the carpet padding gets packed down after foot traffic of the course of a few years. Very frustrating. For anyone who has read this far, your takeaway should be a few things. 1. Korfages has a great selections of carpet. 2. The sales process was easy as I took samples home which made the selection quite easy. 3. Their prices are a bit higher than the big box stores but buying carpet from a guy that was mixing paint the day before kinda offsets that issue. 4. Everyone that I dealt with at Korfhages were very nice. 5. My carpet looks fine, the installers were professional. 6. I'm not sure of why the disconnect between what I was told about the wiring by the measuring gentleman and the installers but that was frustrating. I hope I don't have a wire lump across my floor in a year or so. 7. Would I use Korfhages again? I think I would but I would likely ask some additional pointed questions.
