The wait time isn't to bad and the medical staff is very friendly and caring although at my last visit when a doctor came into exam room she started speaking to me about something completely different about why I was there then proceeded to ask what brought me in today. I found that unusual since their the ones that ordered this particular test and made the appointment. She knew nothing about it and had to leave room to go get my gum chart and notes. My listed cardiologist I don't recall ever meeting as of yet he seems to always be out of the office. The last visit which was just this past week showed some things that troubled the doctor that did see me about my heart so she ordered a test said she'd rather be safe than sorry she would really like to make sure everything is good then they turn around and schedule this test 2 weeks out! Well let's hope everything is ok having to wait that long to check out a heart issue. And of course they schedule the test and schedule a different appointment to talk about the test 2 weeks later 2 office visits 2 copays and a long wait to worry about your heart failing on you. This is our healthcare system now

Dr. M. Leke has one of the rudest bedside manners I've ever encountered. I have several chronic…read moreillness that come with a variety of specialists. This however, by far has been the worst experience I've ever had. Dr. Leke was not only rude with his words to me but also to his staff. From blurting out his frustration during my procedure to down talking to his medical staff. After directly addressing my concerns to Dr. Leke in office with his PA present, he told me "I was joking, we are friends." No sir, you are my Dr. we do not know one another outside of your practice. I then told him if he could not conduct himself in a professional manner I could go ahead and seek medical attention elsewhere. He said he would kerp things professional. During my 2nd procedure, Dr. Leke came in with not 1 word not even a greeting. He never asked me how or if I felt anything. I did let him know I could feel pain he shrugged it off and kept threading into my vein in my thigh. Since then I have had a heart attack along with heart Stent placements and EDG for ongoing stomach issues. Due to these procedures I was unable to make my F/u appointment with him. I called in to inform the staff. Dr. Leke answered, I gave him my information and advised him I was unable to move and on bed rest. He wanted to know how my heart would affect my appointment or why I couldn't make it. Not only was this not necessary he was asking medical questions that did not concern his practice or medical expertise. I noticed that most of the patients are elderly and must not be able to advocate for themselves therefore they continue going to him. I have reported him not only the the NC Medical board but also to my insurance carrier and the BBB. PLEASE DO NOT HESITATE TO ADVOCATE FOR YOURSELF OR A LOVED ONE.
