Completely incompetent and disinterested management. They are completely fine with B&E and theft of private property, destruction of common areas, and do not enforce condo rules. Management leaves promptly at 4 in the afternoon, does not pick up the phone or answer emails, does not monitor the security cameras, and if you go speak with someone it's as if you never did. If you move into or purchase a property managed by these people, you better lock your belongings up tight, lock your door at night, and get very good renter's insurance, because they do not give a tiny rat's a** what happens inside any of these buildings. I am a resident of 880 N Ballston and am absolutely delighted with the exceptional service provided by Cardinal Management Group - especially our on-site manager Dominiece Reynolds. Their team goes above and beyond to ensure that all aspects of property management are handled seamlessly. From promptly addressing maintenance issues to communicating them to residents- Dominiece has been awesome to work with. Just this past year there have been a ton of awesome improvements throughout our building that I have noticed from a new call box, working treadmill belts, to décor (plants that aren't dead) around the common areas. 0 stars! This company manages my condo complex and it's a complete joke. The elevator is constantly broken. See attached photo, someone got so fed up that they posted a sign that has been up for days now because the manager is on vacation and no one has been around to take care of anything, or remove signs mocking their incompetence. I got locked out of my condo and have been trying to get through to someone to help let me in. I called Cardinal and they transferred me to the building manager's office which I could hear ringing, I already explained to the rep. that he was out of town. Then I finally reached someone else and they told me that they have to find someone to let me in. I've called back several times and can't even get someone to pick up the phone. I would love to know why we pay these EXPENSIVE condo fees, where does the money go? Literally for nothing. The management is terrible, the pool is dumpy, there is no mail service or a gym. If you are considering renting or buying a Cardinal property run in the opposite direction. Living in this Cardinal managed building had been a complete nightmare and I can't wait to move! I haven't even addressed all of the issues that I've experienced here, it is the worst building I'be lived in and that's saying a lot considering how bad it is to rent in D.C. read more

Literally the worst. Our community is managed by them and we have no idea where the money is going because our properties are falling apart (e,g. paint peeling, screens missing, siding missing, etc) and nothing is getting fixed. The community looks run down and they claim that they do weekly checks and walkthroughs and yet nothing ever seems to get fixed. if you stop in the office nobody is ever there and they either do not respond to emails or they lie. Taking your money. 196 months of fraudulent reports. CMG states 34 homeowners turned over to the lawyer for excessive late payments - the lawyer only has 18. The infamous Schedule B (where CMG starts to nickel and dime the HOA) should have been submitted, reviewed, and approved by 31 Dec 23 is still not approved - because CMG refuses to come to the table to discuss it. The list goes on and on. The ex-owner and the senior management team encourages bad accounting practices (i say the word "bad" with high regards because it truly is worse than bad) - promotes a horrible relationship with its clients - but one thing is 100% accurate and positive - CMG will take your money - and anyone else's money - with or without regards to doing it correctly. There's not an option for 0 stars so I had to give it one!! This property management company is in charge of my condo/townhouse. When I first moved here they were prompt, attentive, and had great customer service! Now, it's like getting a root canal. My bldg roof is leaking so there are now a few water spots on my ceiling! I'm on the top floor. All they do is patch it up. I once again will be calling next week to get the water spots patched up. If they don't fix this soon I'm going to have to contact a lawyer because I have everything documented with pictures! Don't move to a property managed by them! You will regret it! read more

Cardinal Management Group in Woodbridge VA is so unresponsive and have an awful condescending attitude. They usually don't answer our emails and its always hard to get a hold of r our assigned property manager. First, it was a few days, then a week and then it became weeks before we received any communication from them. And even worse, we had to stay on top of everything! If we didn't remind them, invoices weren't paid, licenses weren't renewed and necessary state renewals went ignored. They are awful to deal with and even worst, they are very unprofessional and rude. So not impressed. Cardinal Management Group took 3 months of me hounding him to finally respond to questions I had about a leaking roof. The leak affected several homes and they just refused to work with us. It was a true headache to constantly track them down only to always hear "we'll get an answer at next month's meeting," followed by another extended period of them going dark. read more
