Horrible level of CARING. They sent my EKG results to my previous doctor (even as my current doctor ordered the test). At check-in they had my old doc in the records which I CORRECTED AT CHECK-IN. They sent the results to the old doc anyway. I called two weeks after the EKG to figure out why we were still waiting for results, the person that returned my voicemail acted like I was an interruption in her day and could not wait to get me off the phone after telling me the results were sent to "my doctor." Before she was able to hang up, I barely got the words in "what was the name of the doctor because I had to correct my record at check-in?" She said she would take care of it. Two more weeks go by and still no results. Called again, same rushed attitude, same promise. I HAD THIS EKG FOR A REASON!!! STILL WAITING FOR RESULTS A MONTH LATER!!!! UNACCEPTABLE!!!!! read more

I have two doctors here. I see Dr. Kelley Sullivan (https://www.medstarhealth.org/doctor/dr-kelley-w-sullivan-md/) is my regular cardiologist and Dr. Jay Mazel (https://www.medstarhealth.org/doctor/dr-jay-aaron-mazel-md/) is my Electrophysiologist. Both are fantastic doctors. I started seeing Dr. Sullivan in 2002 and Dr. Mazel in 2005. Dr. Mazel implanted my Boston Scientific ICD/CRT-D Model N118 at Washington Hospital Center in DC. The best compliment I can give is that they have kept me alive and they have great personalities. read more

I can be a tough customer when it comes to the performance of medical care providers, look at my other reviews. As a former reporter and current paralegal; it is vital to me to be fair in my reviews. The team here is truly amazing. I disagree vehemently with others who have had bad experiences with any of the doctors and the office staff. It is a privilege to come to their defense. I was a patient of Dr. Morton Kavalier for years. When Dr. Kavalier was unavailable his cover Dr. Kenner gladly took care of me. When I was having chest pains and wanted to know if it was OK to exercise, and Dr. Kavalier was unavailable, Melissa the Nurse Practitioner did an EKG and before allowing me to leave consulted with one of their doctors to determine that my chest pain was muscular and not cardiac. When I was in a serious car accident, Dr. Kavalier contacted me even after his retirement. Belinda Dr. Kavalier's nurse is truly amazing. I am now a patient of Dr. Barry Taleznick and he is outstanding. I hope that this team is available to take care of me for years to come. read more

This place will rack up ur medical bills and still can cure spider veins. How do you call yourself a specialist in veins but you can't even cure spider veins. $450 to treat both legs. And $350 for one leg. That's obscure. Be careful with your medical bill. They will bill your insurance and you. To try to collect $$ on both ends. Shady. This office is the most difficult one to reach back when you need to get information's regarding doctors instructions. When you call back they will not forward you to the nurse who left message and only option they give you is to leave yet another message. When front desk person told me that I have to leave message I commented that I guess I'll have to leave another message in order to get nurse. Then she transferred me to leave message but she (lack of knowledge) commented with her coworkers about my comment in a rude voice and manner and everything was recorded as my message. When I replayed message I could clearly hear all of her comment about me that she was making fun of my response. It is a shame that people like this even work in medical practice and that her behavior is reflecting to this whole office image. After four calls I am still unable to get to nurse Kim and get information's for my father. Good luck to you all getting through their communication system read more

This place is a joke! The dr is fine but the office is run like crap! I called because I had a concern about something to do with my heart and was seen by a previous physician and they had a concern too but the receptionist decided that my scheduled appointment was fine to keep without speaking to someone medical to verify!! That is terrifying. Next I receive a letter stating that they have tried to reach me about my appointment that I schedule 3 months prior and they said that it was probably about needing to schedule my appointment *WHAT* so they took my number and called me back to leave a message I called back a minute after spoke to someone and then was placed on a hold for over 10 minutes just to find out they were on lunch break!!! Be extremely careful if you see Dr. Maxted. This guy will, probably for his job security, continue to see you when he should refer you to a specialist. Example: someone has a heart rhythm condition that has required several emergency trips to a hospital for treatment. Each time this happens, the patient gets progressively worse. What does Maxted do? Nothing. He should refer these patients exclusively to an EP Doctor. Instead, he continues to see the patient as if nothing happened. You might want to pass on this guy altogether. I saw Dr Sullivan who I like very much but I never received my test results and now they are lost . Pretty bad !

The medical staff cannot receive enough praise for their skill, concern, and decoration. However, the office staff has absolutely no concern for patients. I have been a patient since January 2016 and routinely wait for over-scheduled services. Today was the straw that broke the camel's back. I checked in and waited for seventy (70) minutes before asking how long until the doctor saw me. After about ten minutes of unconcern from the four people at the front desk, a nurse told me my doctor would be not one, but TWO hours late. No one on the staff had thought to inform waiting patients and seemed aggrieved that I wanted to reschedule. Hateful people! If this practice didn't have a monopoly on cardiology in Annapolis, I would tell them to stuff it. read more

Dr. Bean is great. She spends time with you to make sure you understand your condition and instructions. Her memory is like one I have never seen. She remembers everything from our prior visits, and not from reading from a chart, though of course she does that too:) read more

We have been very disappointed in the staff and responsiveness of Cardiology Assoc. I take my mom (now 90) who had a stent put in in April 2009. Our doctor, Stephanie Jacobs is great. She's professional, listens carefully to my mom's concerns and answers her questions clearly. Unfortunately the staff is either under-trained or over-worked or both. My mom had to have her bloodwork repeated because they never responded when in advance asked what tests were needed. Dr. Stephanie flippantly dismissed the issue when my mom brought it up. It may be that she has no influence over staffing; that's a problem. Because patients are going to tell the doctors when there is a staffing issue and doctors need to have some mechanism to fix those problems. We'll likely stay with Dr. Stephanie at this point, but i would not recommend Cardiology Associates to someone looking for a cardiologist in Annapolis. read more

Very poor costumer service. CVS notified them 4 times to get a cardiac prescription filled, When called they put you on hold for 15 minutes and then transfer you to a answering machine. This happened twice. The doctor are fair to good, but the office staff are managed poorly. read more

My mother was a patient of Dr. Bean's for one year & after a recent appointment, we will never go back. We went to sign in & were told by the receptionist that our appointment had been canceled 2 days before. I told the receptionist that I juggle apptmts for 5 doctors for mom & did not receive such a call. The only call I received was a confirmation of the appmt. Mom is 82 & has a tough time getting to apptmts due to severe lymphedema in both legs & a heart that only works at 40%. After stating this to receptionist, we were treated poorly by her front office staff who were more interested in going home rather than helping to solve the problem. Her 'office manager' emerged & I asked for another doctor to see mom. Instead of saying that she would check with other docs, she suggested that it 'would not be fair to put her on another doc's schedule'. Totally unacceptable response & shows lack of compassion & sympathy for a very ill 82 year old woman. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. read more
