Essentially, you pay for the healthcare you need. This is an excellent practice for people who cannot easily afford medical insurance and are shut out of our healthcare system. For myself, I enjoy the fact that The practice is personable and accessible, and I never have a difficult time getting an appointment when I needed it. I think many more people should be considering medical practices such as evolve, yet I still do not find that many. The closest analogy is somewhere like Care first, however, Care first is less of a medical practice run by one doctor and more of a mass healthcare system. Evolve is a medical practice, with an excellent doctor, competent staff, and a pay as you go approach.

As anyone who's read my other reviews will know, I always have to preface medical reviews by saying that I've been a nurse for over 20 years and tend to be pretty critical of healthcare in general, so a 3-star rating for this office would be a 4-star rating for anything non-medical. Just to provide some perspective...... Getting an appointment with Dr. Fry can sometimes be a challenge, and his office staff are not the friendliest people on the planet. They've never been overtly rude, but just kind of abrupt. However, as I've sat waiting in the waiting room I've overheard multiple phone calls that appear to be from long-time patients (apparently HIPAA rules don't apply here) who seem to have a good rapport with the staff, so maybe we just haven't broken the ice yet. The waiting room itself is pretty small, and I had to laugh at the signs taped to the walls telling you to please sit up straight in the chairs....to improve your posture but also to make the chairs last longer. I can honestly say I've never seen that before in a doctor's office! Be prepared to wait a while, as I've yet to see him run on schedule. Our longest wait was about 45 minutes, but typically it's only about 15 minutes past our appointment time. The actual amount of time spent with Dr. Fry has never been more than 10 minutes, and that's a LONG visit, so I can only assume that his other patients are more complex and require more of his time. As for Dr. Fry himself.....he's a bit too casual for my tastes, but it works for my son. His general appearance is reminiscent of a college stoner who's just rolled out of bed. He's very direct and kind of "jokey" with his instructions, but he gets his point across and does listen to what you're telling him. Like I said, this is a little too casual for me, but for a 19 yr old boy it's just what he needs to make him feel comfortable and open up to talk to him. So if my son is happy and getting good care, I'm happy.....end of story.

Not that I have anything against doctors…read moreor their staff; it just usually means something isn't right, and that's sometimes unsettling. Fortunately, Dr. Goldstein is one of the best doctors I've met. She is approachable, takes time to answer your questions, and talks to you like a peer. She's also good at her craft, which is always a plus. The staff here is always friendly and amiable. They have a great attitude and are always very helpful. The office is very clean and the location is very convenient. I'm not stoked that I have to see a podiatrist, but I'm very glad it's this one.

Some other offices make you feel like they're doing you a favor to look up. Not here!!! Everyone is so incredibly nice! Dr. Collins is outstanding. She listens. She doesn't make you feel rushed. I went to Wise to see a doctor/nurse about my international travel to asia. The attendant at the…read morefront desk wanted to know why i was there. Since the chairs are in the same room there is no patient privacy. Despite my requests to see the nurse even as i was willing to pay, i had to tell her and others heard. She indicated that it wasnt a valid reason to see the doctor and she would not let me see her. I could not believe it. I asked her to talk to the nurse and she did but then came back and told me that the answer was no. I said, are you really not going to let me see the nurse? She said yes... I dont recommend going here for medical services...
