She receives three home cooked meals a day and she loves each meal, believe me. Home Care Assistance is so helpful with bathing, hygiene, safely walking in the home and meal preparation. They get her groceries and medications at the pharmacy too. I do not have to worry about my sister's care anymore. This is a family owned well run business and it's apparent that the owner and his family cares for the residents. My Mom already told me multiple times how different family owners spent time with her just talking with her. To me that's above and beyond the call of duty, and she loves it there. I would give zero if I could based on quality of care provided to my father with dementia who…read morerequired 24 hour care while my mother was in a rehabilitation facility recovering from surgery. The quality of caregivers is a hit or miss. There were a few great caregivers and of the 10 or so that cared for my father 2 were worth the cost of care. They interacted with my father and cleaned during the 12 hours they were there. Other caretakers left the floor unswept and counters unwiped. Just some basic expectations when you pay almost $1000/day and leave all supplies out in the open for them to use. One caretaker, per a nurse calling from his doctors office, yelled at my father to come to the phone. That nurse, when we went in for his doctor's visit, questioned who was caring for my dad and suggested we look into potential elder abuse based on the way she interacted with my dad. The final straw that led me to cancel immediately (for which we paid dearly) was when my son went to check on my dad and the master bedroom smelled like feces, the sheet was not washed and the toilet not wiped down. That being said, the office staff are great. I interacted a lot via text, the most effective communication given the timely nature of our problems and the need to adjust caregivers. All of my bad experiences are documented via text, however give laws and the contract they are not accepted when trying to prove a claim. Word to the wise, ALWAYS cover yourself with email. Beware of the owner! Carrie is a great salesperson, but a ruthless business person who does not investigate problem situations within the company. Would love to know if ALL the workers are insured and bonded. Something else to keep in mind when hiring this company.

They were caring and concerned about the type of care my mother would need. I'm a nurse and found their assessment to be very thorough. Unfortunately, my mother became ill and was hospitalized after just one caregiver visit, but I continued to use their services while I cared for my mom when she was on Hospice Care. I was able to meet every caregiver and found them all to be very professional and pleasant, they helped me with whatever care I needed that day, even if it was just to keep an eye on my mom while she slept so that I could run errands or rest. Since the type of care for my mom varied from day to day, they were very helpful with scheduling visits until my mom passed away. After my mom passed away, Alan sent me a gorgeous flower arrangement along with a very thoughtful and caring email. I highly recommend Indecare for your loved ones, having a caregiver with me during my mom's final days was very comforting and I'm grateful to have had them with me during this difficult time.
