Bonaventure is a…read morehorrible place if your loved one needs actual "care"- if they are able to care for themselves fully with no assistance, then it's a beautiful facility. We brought my 95 year old grandmother and she lasted less than 48 hours before we removed her. They charged us over 8 THOUSAND dollars for additional care and "hourly checks" just for me to find her the next day in the same dirty clothes, same depends, not taken to bed or connected to her CPAP or bathed.... 36 HOURS later. Not to mention she almost fell first day and I used the call light and it took over 10 minutes to respond. Yet, the staff was washing walls.... They had time to ensure the facility looked clean, but your loved one will receive zero care. Wasn't greeted, wasn't welcomed and my grandmother was left in the recliner for hours without being fed breakfast as it sat there cold until I came at 4:30 in the afternoon. We immediately removed her after seeing this lack of treatment. Pam the COO and Shelby were helpful and apologetic but the Pueblo staff made excuses such as "they had a meeting" and that's why they couldn't return our calls to check on her. I have photos to prove all of this and just want families in the same situation as us to be fully informed before selecting bonaventure. It's a hard enough decision to leave your loved one when they need additional care and to find them that way 36 hours in is UNACCEPTABLE. They treat the elderly who need more help so undignified. Don't be fooled with a tour. Ask to spend time there and you will see for yourself the residents left to fend for themselves.... Where is the "assisted" living part? Oh and once they get your money, no phone calls are returned.

Trinity Life Gardens would never be my choice to put my loved ones in period. Unfortunately my…read morebrother is stuck in that place right now because there are no Adult Assisted Living Facilities in our home town that will accept him for his specific needs. Every time I call to arrange a time to pick up my brother and request his medications be ready, the head nurse? Jennifer is always very rude and has hung up on me when I'm still talking and not being rude to her in any way what so ever! The first time I encountered her she didn't even introduce herself and was very rude. I even arrived an hour later than I said I would be there to allow enough time for the Nurse to prepare his medications. When I got there they were not ready and Jen had a terrible attitude when I asked her how much longer it would be She also knows . She wasn't even apologetic.This last time I spoke to her she said she'd let someone know I would be picking my brother up, (she is supposed to notify the staff so they have his meds readyfor how ever many days he'll be out of town.) but she didn't even tell my brother or any of the other Nurses or CNAs. I asked the girl preparing my brothers meds & she said they were not told I would be there & was upset & said "it makes them look bad". This time I know it was done purposely, because she knows I don't like her rudeness. My brother has told me that Jen has denied his check to him on several occasions as well. What is a person like this doing managing healthcare facility?? when she clearly needs lessons on how to treat people. If Trinity Life Gardens want to improve the morale and ratings they definitely need to get rid of Jen. I know I'm not the first or will be last to think so either!!
