The Corner provides primary health care, education, and support for young people ages 12-21 without regard for income level. Not only do they provide excellent medial care in a professional and welcoming environment, they also offer a number of programs (e.g., a Youth Theatre Troupe) through which young people can become engaged in their community and learn valuable leadership skills. I've seen first hand how passionate and welcoming everyone who works there is and how much the youth at the Corner appreciate all that this organization adds to their lives!

I was not disputing the amount, just taking time closing accounts and transferring funds. Today, MARCH 6TH, I got a letter from a COLLECTION AGENCY. 15 days BEFORE the bill is due, I now have to deal with a collection agency. I have to keep copies, files, send a letter of validation of debt, maybe even hire an attorney to protect me against this shady collection agency. I'm not going down quietly. I sent letters to Trinity, my state senator and will also send one to the Attorney General's Consumer Complaint Division. Trinity's GREED is horrible. Supposedly, a Christian hospital. Truth in advertising, change your name to, It's All About The Money.

The process is so poor, I have to chase down different offices and I always hear it's beyond their control, it's another office's problem. The ER is terrible. My wife went there twice, was not treated for the problem and after severe pain finally had to go to Corewell in Royal Oak for successful treatment. Health systems in Canton are really poor. You can't even get in to a doctor. I'm thinking about moving elsewhere. Really depressing.

Security guards used to wheelchairs at night to lounge around and outside and no wheelchairs are available because they scattered abruptly call back upstairs to get wheelchair was put on hold for a long time, as if handicap people our second class finally they sent a wheelchair down with a woman with it very heavy European Polish type accent complaining about this is not her job with a thick accent. My st Joseph review has to be split into sections, because different depts get different reviews…read moreand stars from me. I have spent darn near this whole summer going back and forth to st joe. My grandmother has been ill with one thing and hospitalized, fixed up, sent home & rushed back to the Er for what feels like every 2 weeks to begin the whole process over again. The ER ... my grandma was delivered to the ER by ambulance for 3 pretty serious reasons. Our very 1st trip we took her by car. All of these trips we were treated well by the check in and the triage staff, but once you reach the Er you are tucked into a little room, given the once over and then left for incredibly long periods of time . Time to sit and wonder, time to be afraid and time to work yourself into a panic over what "could" be wrong. They claim is that they are short staffed, and yet if you peep out the door, there are plenty of staff milling around in the hall. You will eventually meet a surly intern who has zero people skills, uses his giant dr words that we laymen do not understand, and he will be put out when you ask him to explain to you in English what they just said. And then eventually you are told that they will be admitting grandma but it could be awhile for a bed to be found. For their cold handling of my grandmother, I give the ER at St Joe 1star. The main hospital is a whole different story. We stayed on 3 different floors for all 3 hospital stays , and o must say that the nursing staff on all 3 were amazing human beings. They all treated my grandmother as if she were their own. They fussed over her & made her feel as tho they were giving her extra special attention . She absolutely loved them all. The drs were not as loving over her, but they were a far cry more attentive than the ER drs . Of all of the drs we had this summer we only had issue with 1, my sister and I dealt with her to our satisfaction. I could go on about how well she was treated by the staff in the main hospital , but attention spans may not last that long, so to end this I give the staff on the 3 floors that cared for my grandma this summer 5 stars. St joes you're a great hospital , but I truly hope I don't need to see the inside of your walls again for a long time.
