Did my Dental Assisting course here and I don't regret it! Len was very helpful starting up the enrollment process and very nice . But most importantly I'd like to thank Ms .Garcia the AM instructor for the course. Throughout the course she was always an amazing and supportive teacher always pushing you to your full potential and always acknowledging the class hard work. I'm 5 months into my job now since I've graduated from her class and I can say she taught me well! Right off the bat I wasn't so lost and confused being in the dental field. I knew what to do and what to expect because of her course so thankyou, definitely recommend if your thinking about joining the dental field because they look for an externship site for you and help look for jobs if your extern isn't hiring. ALSO love that you graduate with 5 CERTIFICATIONS that you usually have to pay separately for at different schools or take the courses while work for example: coronial polishing, I'm able to do that as a RECENT grad DA that not all are allowed to do in a office right away. Not only that but her course was so fun she made learning so fun!! Thankyou Ms .Garcia & Carrer Care Institute !

Unorganized, money hungry, unprofessional, overall rude. Save yourself a headache and your money and go elsewhere.

I told her would it be possible if my father can come in to provide her the cancellation letter signed by me. She said I had to come in person which i obliged. She then decided out of nowhere to change the time around 2pm while I'm working. She also wanted to charge me for the book she gave which I hadn't even opened. Avoid this place at all cost. She's a scammer.

I found this school online and quickly called to make an appointment. I was greeted in a friendly manner by the School Director, Primavera Fuller. She explained to me the conditions of study and helped me fill out all the documents.I was pleasantly surprised by the price of tuition. I was offered three options for classes and I chose the evening class .When I came to school on the first day I met two wonderful teachers -Jannie and Jushana. Teachers are patients, calm, professional and encourages the students, giving us confidence to be able to do blood draws. They have with a wealth of knowledge and experiences, enabling to share personal experiences and techniques. Class sizes small (6-7 people) and the material is easy to read and understand and can focus more on reach of the student. Book was writing "simply language". Teachers always answers any and all questions and shares personal experiences, stories, and videos to help us understand the material better. Teachers helps for us and prepare us for Final Exam. Primavera is great ,very easy to work with throughout your time at the school with payments, and other information after I done with school. I am very happy with education I received , and look forward to taking my National Exam and proceeding to my externship. I really liked this school, it is my best choice.Thank you very much Primavera, Jennie and Jushana. You are the Best!!!!

Antelope Valley College - Thursday evening was incredible with the humble & gracious Professor Angela Y. Davis interviewed by President Jennifer Zellet at #AVC

The staff mentioned it was very difficult and competitive. And maybe it is but it is not their job to discourage or feel anyone discriminated. Not sure if my age or I hate to even say that status also was part of it. A more professional way to handle it would have been just to say "talking to a counselor would give you a better understanding of what fits better for you". Unfortunately this is the second bad experience I have at AVC I can now see why people I know decide to go to COC or moopark

Let me start by saying the campus is very nice and clean! The admissions and financial aid staff,…read moreon the other hand, is pretty much useless. They are decently friendly, but it seems like no one at the desk is ever authorized to actually do anything aside from taking your info down and saying they'll reach out to you (no one ever reaches out, by the way, shocker). I've visited over 8-10 times in the last 5 months, and the "higher-ups" are always out of the office or in meetings--every single time. I applied in August 2025 and it took 2 weeks and 3 visits just for them to even find my application because it supposedly got "filed into spam." Most CCs take 48 hours MAX. Because of that "spam incident," my financial aid was severely delayed. Even though I'm a California native, they flagged me as a non-resident and said they needed my official high school transcripts to prove it. Contacting LAUSD for transcripts is a nightmare and takes 3-4 months, but the admissions supervisor gave me a verbal green light to take my Fall classes anyway. She promised they would backdate the waiver and clear the non-resident tuition once the transcripts arrived. I finally brought my transcripts in today, and now they're saying it's 50/50 if the dean will even honor that since the Fall semester is already over. To make it worse, the dean has been out for the last 2 days and they had no idea when she'd even be back. They refused to even schedule an in person appointment with her for me. I even offered to set it for this Friday or even weeks out and told them they could just call to cancel if she wasn't in, and they still said no. If someone is going to be out indefinitely, they need to bring in someone else to fill in and handle their responsibilities! I understand things and emergencies happen, but there is still business to be handled. Now they're saying they can guarantee Spring will be cleared, but I can't enroll in any classes until the $500 Fall balance is paid. What sense does that make?? Had I known this would happen, I never would've enrolled for Fall, but I trusted the supervisor's word. I'm beyond disappointed. The staff is friendly, but they need a new chain of command if the bosses are always gone. It shouldn't be this hard to better my future. I'm now pursuing enrollment at another college because I can't deal with this faulty system anymore. Advice to future students: save yourself the headache and explore other schools if you can. If you do happen to end up here DO NOT take verbal promises here. Get everything time-stamped and in writing or you'll end up stuck with a bill you weren't expecting.

And when I made the decision to leave (I paid for half the school upfront) I was told I would receive money back because I didn't finish. I received 3 emails with 3 separate amounts. I received 2 of the amounts the next day, that was in February. I have called numerous times to inquire about the 3rd check and every time I call, the person who can help me is always on a break or at lunch, so they take down my message and tell me someone will call me back. I've never received a call back. Due to taking care of a sick family member and working, I haven't been able to physically go in. But I also shouldn't have to physically go in for this inquiry. The school treats their students like they are children. They scold you about being professional in your externship when you're still months away from it and have given zero information on externship. Their whole "we're here to support you" spiel is crap. I attended the school for almost 5 months and within that timeframe, they fired 5 staff members and 2 quit or transferred. Save yourself the time and money and go to AVC.
