At the end of dinner I texted her for a ride, and she was there in less than 7 minutes! Unfortunately a friend in our party got sick at dinner. But when Kimberly arrived and I told her, she took such great care of our girl. She was so courteous, took turns to not cause her to feel sick, and never made her feel bad for not feeling well. Bathrooms available before and during the tour. Lots of celebrity memorabilia to entertain you prior to the tour. There is even a tv in the bathroom... We board the super comfy bus that accommodates about 30 stalkers, err, guests. Each seat has a great view during the tour and the bus is high enough to peer over the stone fences that a lot of the house have. I know, invasive but the architecture is mid century amazing. Anne has an incredible data bank of info on all mostly the older Hollywood community. If you are not into star gazing, go for the cool houses/gardens. There has been an enclave of mid century slick remodels in PS and they are featured in the tour. Anne is also a solid sales lady. The date Shake place we stopped at was super low key but amazing. The tour includes your own deliciously prepared date shake made from ice cream and some yummy date I cannot remember the name of. Also, date tasting is included and boy do they make them gooood. So much so, I purchased two packages of shake dates due Anne's description of their medicinal benefits and the grocery store amazing friendly staff. Yes, they turned in the charm. BTW, The dates and I just landed in Portland for my future enjoyment. The topper was watching Anne maneuver the detour signs and traffic caused by the light parade in PS tonight. Susan M. 24 days ago Maintain their vehicles! Let me say this first: I was renting, NOT testing cars I might to buy. While MY car was in the shop, I had to exchange my rental FOUR times Not in chronological order. 1* Rear seat belt sensor was bad an alarm kept going off EXCHANGED 2*Pulling out of my driveway and I went to go forward-transmission/engine felt like it dropped, resisted going forward. No alarm went off, no brake/braking assist was on. Stopped, turned off the car and restarted....same issue. EXCHANGED 3* carpet lifted, dirty a plus included it smelt like vomit and marijuana. Not good when I was going on Military Bases (note Federal doesn't recognize CA state law) 4*EXCHANGED 4*ABS sensor alarm kept going off with dash message may not brake ..EXCHANGED 5 an final car was fine. 683505 E Palm Canyon & next to PS Airport & in PS Airport. What a great bunch of folks from start to finish…read more The car was impeccable, you could tell it hadn't just had a band aid and a quick rinse off turn around. They pick you up from the airport, so there is NO LINE to stand in. Your paperwork is awaiting you as is your car, and the guys transferred all of our luggage just apparently automatically. And when we returned, it was to a friendly smile, a wave, and they remembered who we were. You just don't see this in the car rental business, and we rent a lot of cars. Also no annoying big upgrade sell thing going on and no extra charges . We will always rent from Desert in the future.

Tim (who apparently runs the place) called me literally minutes before closing to ask if I was coming, then dumped a random Kia Forte by a flag in the parking lot and left the keys inside like he was doing me a favor. Not only was it the WRONG CAR (I booked an SUV, got a Kia sedan), but it reeked of smoke. When I called to complain, Tim acted clueless and said he didn't see an SUV on the order--total nonsense, since my Orbitz receipt clearly says "mid-size SUV." Either he can't read, or he just doesn't care. His solution? I could drive 45-90 minutes (depending on traffic) the next day to swap cars, or maybe they'd bring me one. Zero accountability, zero customer service. He even told me to "call his manager" rather than bothering to fix his own mess. Why is it my job to chase down his boss after I've already been ripped off? And as the cherry on top, I had to pay $12 just to get out of the parking lot. They offered to reimburse me, but at that point, I was so disgusted I refused. This place is a total scam operation--unprofessional, disorganized, and run by people who shouldn't be in business. Save yourself the headache and go literally ANYWHERE else. You've been warned.
