I've been trying to get my prescriptions renewed for five days now and nobody returns my call. Their answering service will not relay any messages because my need of medication "is not a medical emergency". I tried the patient portal but that crashed too. The doctors are excellent but the office is run unapologetically appallingly, take care of yourself and find another family medical center.

I went before closing so there was no wait. Everyone was exceptionally kind and warm. The doctor was very experienced and discussed with me his thoughts about my skin condition and the issues with the medication I thought I needed. He was kind, patient and not brusque or rude which has been my usuall experience at urgent care facilities. This has been my second visit to this center in the last six weeks and I also had a very good experience at my first visit.

A part of me feels terrible because the girls at the front desk were great and the first girl who brought me into my exam room was very sweet. They were great on the phone and took me in same day, but then the entire experience went downhill when the doctors came to asses my issue. I went in for ear pain. I explained my symptoms and told them, "I'm sure it's just a pimple in my ear, but I'd like to be safe and make sure." They check my ear and left to grab another doctor to get a second opinion. I hear them directly outside the door mocking me and calling me over dramatic. That I am "psyching myself out" and it's "just a little pimple" and they begin laughing to each other. I thought I must be hearing this incorrectly and being sensitive, but the laughing and mumbling that I'm pretty much making up my symptoms made me feel so beyond uncomfortable. I've never in my life felt so embarrassed and humiliated. These are healthcare professionals. I am simply coming in to make sure I am in good health. They then blame "anxiety" and completely write me off. It was a male doctor with blue eyes and blonde hair along with a short girl with long dark hair. I unfortunately do not remember their names. I always hated and felt uncomfortable in doctor's offices, and this experience will now worsen my outlook on the subject.

I've regretted it every time. The quality of care is terrible! I've predominantly visited AFC for care regarding cold, flu, and covid type symptoms. Last year I came in treatment. I was sent home with a 3 days off from work letter, and a diagnosis of "oh, it's just a little cold", being told it'll go away on it's own. 6 days later my symptoms had progressed to a full Upper Respiratory Infection one stage away from turning into pneumonia! Found this out at a different clinic. Crappy clinic, go somewhere else for quality care!

They, of course, were obligated to take he to the nearest hospital but promised me the hospital was better than it's reputation. I had to just hope for the best at that point. From the minute I arrived I was impressed. The attention and genuine care I felt from every member of the staff was unprecedented. I needed emergency surgery the next day so I was admitted. My room was clean and the nurses were fantastic. Concerned as to who would be preforming my surgery I googled the doctor's name. 5 out of 5 stars on WebMD?! Yes please! I was so relieved! The surgery went well and the care I received the next few days before I was released continued fo be above standard. I can't say anything bad about this hospital. They are on their way to changing their reputation to something wonderful.

I arrive, they couldn't find my appointment asked if I made it today and I told them no it was made weeks ago. Then I'm told that her insurance information was never inputted after I provided it the day I made the appointment. I pull my daughter out of school early I leave my job early to be turned away and told the Dr doesn't take her insurance. Why wasn't this told the day I made the appointment!?! They even called to confirm me the day before and I was sent packing. I wasted hours of my job, my time and my gas as I came from Riverhead ontop of pulling my daughter out of school. No one would see my daughter and I was told unless I wanted to pay for the appointment - NO you should have paid for the appointment for your mess up. I will NEVER EVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE !!!!!!!! I have been a patient here for 10 years…read more Dr.Sica appears to be the most accurate physician when diagnosing my ailments and prescribing treatment for them. The practice employs P.A.s, but I feel more comfortable seeing a doctor. I did like seeing the thorough and knowledgeable Nurse Practitioner Bruno, but he left the practice several years ago. Medical assistants competently withdraw blood and administer EKGs, among taking other responsibilities. Receptionists are courteous and friendly. It is easy to secure an appointment. Remember to immediately press "7" on your phone to bypass the voicemail greeting. Wait times to see professional medical staff can be over one hour, especially earlier in the year when people are getting physicals. So expect to be in there for two hours or more, including the time that the physician or p.a. evaluates you and the medical assistant weighs you, obtains your vitals and performs ordered tests. The office is open only on weekdays but not on weekends. Hours are 9a to 5 pm, except every other Friday they open from 8a to 4p when Dr. Sica is there. It is also conveniently located on Rt. 112, between the Sunrise Highway and the L. I.E. The practice is affiliated with Good Samaritan Hospital/Catholic Health Services. Upon arrival, patients must notify staff by phone. A receptionist will then come out to your vehicle, escort you inside and take your temperature. Everybody must still wear masks in the office. COVID-19 restrictions have not been lifted for health care settings as of this writing (mid June 2021). The entire building is in need of a renovation. It is outdated when compared to most other medical practices. There is no Internet here because of a dead cell phone zone. Wifi is available, so I recommend patients buy a reputable VPN service like NordVPN to encrypt Wifi connection and to privatize browsing. Overall, this practice is satisfactory.

They turned him away stating he did not have proper authorization. The forms have worked in every facility my employees have been sent to prior. These people seem lazy, incompetent, and to not care about their patients or anyone walking through their doors whatsoever. I am frustrated because on every occasion no matter what they will never uphold appointment times. When I say this I mean if you book your appointment time for 3:30 you won't get seen until after 4:00 p.m. and this has happened to me on numerous occasions. It's very frustrating to come to your appointment not only on time but earlier than scheduled and still have to wait. My appointment was set for 3:20, I arrived at 3:10 and I was not taking back until 3:56. When I arrived there was no one in the waiting room waiting to be seen only individuals waiting for the people they came with. By the time I am done with the nurse going through unnecessary questions I answered in the waiting room it is now 4:16 (4 minutes shy of an hour from my appointment time). The doctor comes in at 4:23 and literally takes 3 minutes to tell me what I need to know and I leave at 4:26 over an hour from my appointment time and I just had one question. However and this is a big however, the staff are very nice and knowledgeable and I do feel taking care of once I am taking back. But that does not make me feel any better about having to wait in the waiting room for more than 30 minutes past my appointment time. I would appreciate if this clinic can uphold appointment times especially if people are on time... so i would say don't even get here on time because you'll be waiting anyway.
