Went for annual physical and told staff and Dr. that I was going just for that. I read now that patients get charged extra for asking questions. I made sure I asked NO questions and brought up NO issues. Dr. asked me some questions. i.e. Do I take my BP at home, how are my headaches. Requiring yes and fine answers. I was told by insurance company that these questions, by doctor, were outside a preventative exam. This resulted in an additional $189.79 extra fee. So be aware that answering a couple of simple questions results in extra charges. read more

When I saw that it only had 2 stars, I didn't want to go. But I went and it was wonderful. The nurse was so nice, made me feel so comfortable. And the doctor was the same. This is about the worst healthcare service you can imagine. It took me over a year to get in to see a primary care doctor just to do an annual check up. Then, since they don't actually do blood work when you go in for the exam -- I didn't actually get the necessary bloodwork done until I called and they told me... you have go to the lab in Rhinebeck... something they neglected to tell me specifically when I was at the appointment. Maybe that was my fault for not being my own advocate at the appointment. Don't even try to call and talk to a doctor. They simply won't talk to you on the phone. And god-forbid you should ask them to call you. I went to a specialist and was told specifically at an appointment that one procedure was not recommended, but after the blood work came back, they said they wanted to do this very procedure. When I asked to have the doctor call me to discuss - since she had specifically said this was a last resort - the person who called me told me that it was unlikely that I would be a call back. No follow up, no suggestion to book another appointment to talk to the doctor... just "don't expect a call back." Needless to say, I am no longer a patient there - even though this means I need to travel back into NYC to get health care. THIS PLACE IS ABYSMAL - RUN, DON'T WALK AWAY. I gave this place 2 shots. Once on Thanksgiving Day and again today. Done. I get that it is rough to work on holidays and Sundays. I have patience for people to a degree. My child has a painful infection and the pharmacy only received one script. It was further complicated because the branch that I had asked it to be sent to originally was closed. I only learned this when I called to inquire if they were ready. The pharmacist at the other branch asked for me to call the urgent care to report the error, as she could see one script but not the other. She said that they must have forgotten to send it. When I called, I was treated like I was asking for something extraordinary. I was not looking for them to resend a script for a controlled substance; it was an antibiotic. Tammy could have called the pharmacy herself if she did not believe that it did not process. She mocked me when I made a comment about the computer system of the pharmacy and hung up on me when I asked her last name. I did not raise my voice or use inappropriate language. Clearly, Tammy needs assistance with her interpersonal skills. CareMount Rhinebeck, your patients deserve better if a patient has to call there with a problem. If Tammy has personal issues that impede her ability to treat people with kindness, perhaps working with sick people on weekends should not be offered to her. read more

staff was very pleasant and helpful, especially dr. asher in obgyn and his nurse, whose name is slipping my mind. i was nervous about seeing a male doctor but he was very thorough, informative, and empathetic. his nurse held my hand and he was very reassuring through my whole exam. some doctors are dismissive but i really appreciate how thorough he was. i will definitely see him again. this caremount is in a weird spot - next to tops - but the facility is clean and nice, i honestly like it better than the lake katrine location. read more

Went to this Urgent Care with a painful sore throat. Waited 20 mins inside the exam room for the dr (Amanda) I could hear her talking outside of the door to her coworkers the entire time. So there was no sense of value/regard for patients from her. She also barely looked at me, which made me feel as though she didn't care even more. no strep test was done and like I said, she barely looked at my throat. The bulk of my time there was spent listening to her chat away with her coworkers and my visit with her was all but one minute (not joking). I was probably the only patient in the building at the time. It was completely quiet there. Update: I needed to go to a GP less than week later because throat was so abnormally swollen, and I was in a lot of pain. So this urgent care clearly missed something. read more

I would not even select one star if it was possible to do so. This location in Rhinebeck is completely overpriced and misleading about payment and visit costs. They totally take advantage of people in need who nervous because of an emergency and tell them that the visit is 150 dollars in addition to whatever treatment is provided. In actuality the VISIT is upwards of 500+ dollars in addition to the treatment that is provided. 500 dollars to speak to a doctor? seriously? I could have gone to a specialist who would have been way more educated and apt at their job and paid around 200 dollars. Avoid this place at all costs. This rating is for Dr. Mullin. Dr. Mullin is amazing. He's the most caring, thorough, warm, and competent Dr. I have ever been to. Dr. Mullin saved my life, truly. After 30 years of misdiagnosis, accusations of Munchausen or Hypochondria, or Anxiety-induced symptoms, I finally have my life and a future. Dozens and Dozens of Dr.'s couldn't figure out what Dr. Mullin figured out in 5 minutes- that I have IG Epilepsy. Have since I was a kid. He sent me for an EEG and his suspicions were correct. There is no way to be over-the-top when you talk about the person who changes your life the way this man changed mine. I am visiting this area from California and went in to CareMount Medical Urgent Care in Rhinebeck with a minor issue. I was seen more quickly than I ever expected. The nurse, Jody, was wonderful, friendly and efficient, explaining things as she examined me. I waited only a few minutes to be seen by Dr Marder, after the nurse left the room. He too was friendly and efficient and explained every thing as he examined me. I never felt like they were rushing to get out of the room to get to the next patient. If you are in the Rhinebeck area and have the need to go to Urgent Care I highly recommend CareMount Medical. From the receptionist who helped me quickly, checking to be sure I was able to complete the small number of questions I needed to answer on their tablet, to the nurse and doctor, I was very please with the quality of the care and how welcoming and knowledgeable everyone was. Regardless of what people have thought of Mid Hudson Medical Group in the past, when they merged with MKMG to become CareMount Medical, they became one of the best locations (in my viewpoint). I was just in here about a week ago, and although I walked in here thinking that my problem was just something simple (such as my sinuses) I walked out with tons more information than I had going into it. I had used the Urgent Care here, so the visit was quick, but the doctor was good (although it took some convincing and one night of terror with severe side effects for the medication they provided me at first(but later stopped and changed to another medication that took me to a livable future)), I actually got medication I myself knew I needed and always seemed to work, and walked out of there knowing now that I have what the doctor considered "only 4 missing teeth on my bottom set" when no teeth were ever extracted from there in the past. Dr. Marder examined me and put some thought into feeling around for potential problems that could have been the cause (due to having to come in to see my doctor the day before without any luck after my own doctor in Lake Katrine (another CareMount location)) couldn't give me anything to treat something I knew I had! (My doctor said to "take a decongestant for a sinus problem" and call him in the morning if I had any other problems). read more

I had taken my children to Care Mount medical for many years. For many years I was denied my concerns about my kids by the Doctor I trusted. But I persisted following my own intuition and was ridiculed by a tall burley female pediatrician. She called me a "neurotic mother". I fired her after that and found better partitioners. Realized and researched, she misdiagnosed my son who had years of abdominal pains... actually has a serious food allergy call Eosinophilic Esophagitis, Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia syndrome and my daughter she misdiagnose with Asthma actually has a very serious congenital aortic malformation. She had Aortic surgery last year and hopefully will not continue to have problems from the delay in the diagnosis she did not get from that doctor whose name just causes my Payne. Even after changing doctors In the group( even in ortho with my kids or urgent care) I noticed they treated me differently as if I had done something wrong. I realized i needed to leave the group all together. I was very disheartened by the way practitioners placed judgements against me and my kids. Its very sad that people could do these kinds of things to children. They are ultimately the ones who suffer. My kids had a me as a good advocate but not everyone does. Please share your experience.
