My father tried to use this location because of an ear infection, but was refused care because he had Medicare insurance. He offered to pay as a cash patient, but was still refused care. I live 3 hours away and couldn't believe he was turned away. He uses a walker and had his caretaker drive him there even though he's very home bound. When I called, the woman that answered the phone said they do not take cash patients if they have Medicare. I knew this was wrong and after calling CareNow's home office they verified that cash patients are accepted and they had no right to turn him away. My Dad is a former Marine and deserves WAY more respect and care than he was shown. As a healthcare provider myself, I find it's really sad that this location only sees care as the noun in their name and not the verb that it should be. I hope for their sake that my father has no long term hearing problems for having to wait another day to find actual care for his ear infection. read more

Everyone here was friendly and nice. The lady that drew blood was very good at her job and I barely felt anything. Ashley was my nurse and she gave me two shots and did a great job at that as well, she was super friendly and outgoing. This place is a joke and I don't want a response from company stating they're sorry. Fix the problems you hear from your customers. I went online made an appointment. Was called to come in and sat and waited over an hour with no explanation. I asked how much longer the wait would be and was advised unsure. If this carenow is short staff hire more staff to care for patients. If staff is incompetent hire staff that is willing to care for patients. If you are just plain overwhelmed I understand let the patient know so they can go somewhere else and be looked at. I work in a healthcare field, and I just found something out. You can request your Medical Records; and not only can you request them, but it's idiotically easy to do. With that being said, I feel like a dummy for not even knowing how to obtain this piece of information. I've been to CareNow more than I probably should. I kind of consider them to be my "go-to" rather than my actual PCP (primary care physician). Yikes? No, to me Doctor offices are either 1) Never available 2) Horrendous wait times 3) More expensive 4) They assign you another doctor because yours isn't available. I think this is why more and more people stray away from being healthy, because it's just *not* worth the hassle? Anyways, before I went on my tangent. I'm a curious person, so once I found out how easy it was to get MY Medical Records I was all for it. In the last 2 days, I've asked for records from at least 3 hospitals I've been to already (oh, sue me). CareNow wasn't an exemption, therefore I went to their website and wasn't able to locate the Medical Release Form(s). I e-mailed their Customer Service in regards to this incident, and I got a reply very quickly with direct, easy, straight forward instructions (even a PDF file attached to download it) I usually do not like to e-mail big companies because receiving a response can have it's disadvantages. But this wasn't the case; Crystal T. their Customer Support Data Analyst responded to my e-mails quickly, and pleasantly. Now, I faxed over my information; all I have to do now is wait to see how long processing takes. It stated it can up to 15 business days - but we will see. Awful experience. Undid the web check in and was told it would be an hour and a half wait which is fine, It's web check in and I can wait at home. I get a call saying it's time to come to the clinic and I arrive and the customer service was less that pleasant. I waited 20 more minutes in the lobby and have currently been waiting for 40 minutes in an exam room and have yet to see a physician or physicians assistant. Being a health care professional we don't frequent the ER or any urgent care for that matter. Last night our son started running fever and had a sore throat. Our PCP is out of the country and we felt he needed seen. We went @ 0900 this am and were denied care. Not a single patron in the lobby, nobody in the parking lot, no cars other than what could be seen as employee cars parked around at the side. The front desk worker who had no ID on nor offered her name was RUDE, HATEFUL and totally unprofessional. I do not recommend this location for any care. Based off the other reviews left, I am uncertain how it is still even open. I only gave 1 star because it was the lowest rating it was actually much less. read more

An efficient operation, but be sure you check in online. I heard one person their complaining about having sat for the last 4 hours, and I had only been there for a few minutes. They are fairly upbeat, which is important as you are dealing with a medical team not your own. The good thing is that they have nearly all the test abilities onsite. The bad news is that if they send out for a test, you have to pay again to get the results, even if they are negative.... Not very nice.... The doctors, nurses & technicians are friendly, knowledgable and fast. The front desk staff is also friendly but they're slow processing paperwork. I haven't been to the doctor in years but the office visit was $170 and 2 x-rays were $110. I do like their online checkin feature though. I checked-in on their website and they called me in 20 minutes prior to my appointment so I didn't have to sit in the waiting room However, I did have to wait 15-20 minutes after seeing the doctor just to payout. I checked if people were in there and they were so I tried to open the door. It was locked, I didn't mind because it was 7:45 and they open at 8. So I sat in front of the building so I can go in and not wait. It's 8 o'clock they still didn't open the door. I knocked then they came to open it. Come to find out they won't help me until 10am because their system is down and they made appointments for the people yesterday. I get it they don't have control but they saw me sitting and waiting. They couldn't have asked me or told me their system is down and they are only taking apps. It was on their website. Never go here! I have other bad experiences from them this is the most recent. They are close and that was the only reason I'd go there. Now I feel like that isn't even worth it anymore. No compassion at this place. read more

This place is ridiculous, came in for a TB test and was told a wait time only for that to be wrong, then was called after I left and told I could come back to be seen now... the woman on the phone then got super rude with me and told me I should have known that there weren't wait tones with an urgent care despite the desk staff telling me otherwise. When I arrived I had my 2 children with me and there were dirty, snotty tissues left on the floor and side tables. I also went back the following day to have the test done after needing to leave the day before and the floor still had the same candy and dirt all over it that was there the day before. I just called to make an appointment to which the lady on the phone literally told me "nu-uh" and told me they don't make appointments. I get online and make an appointment for my very sick febrile boyfriend with 104 degree fever and stomach pain and the same lady calls me back and tells me to come on up there, I said okay and she hangs up on me. I have been so impressed with the CareNow on Eastchase in Fort Worth/Arlington. My wife and I have had separate issues one week apart where CareNow took care of us efficiently and professionally. We love the "Web Checkin" feature that allows us to login and tell CareNow our symptoms and our insurance information. We are about 10-15 minutes from this CareNow location. Once our information is reviewed, CareNow calls and asks us to come to the clinic. Once there, the staff, nurses, and doctors attended to us very professionally. We were in the clinic a minimum amount of time. We left with a prescription to be filled and we were on our way. I cannot recommend CareNow highly enough! read more

I've been to three different CareNow locations, and all have been good. No bad experiences thus far, after probably at least a dozen visits for myself and teenage kids over the past several years. Today was the first time at this location, after moving to another part of town. Every staff member and medical professional was very, very helpful and proficient. I used the web check-in, and the wait wasn't very long. As soon as I arrived and completed a short form (Ebola screening), I was taken back to be seen. Very little waiting time between being taken care of by different people, as well. Even though I already know quite a bit about the condition I came in for, they made sure to inform me of everything a person would need to know. This was my first experience with a Care Now. The online check-in was very convenient. We didn't have to wait long once arriving. Our doctor was thorough in finding out what was wrong with my daughter, and because of that, we were able to get her to Cooks for the treatment that she needed. I've been to this CareNow a few times for when I'm just feeling under the weather but it doesn't warrant an ER visit. Most times I've been satisfied with the care I've received. However, today I went in with a sore throat so I wanted to go in and make sure I didn't have Strep. I checked in online and got a room pretty quickly. The first employee who saw me and took my blood pressure and temperature was very nice. However, this took a turn for the worst when the Physician's Assistant came in. A lady named Patrice Garcia came in and immediately started asking if I'd taken pain medications for my throat. I answered no, but she didn't seem to be satisfied by that and asked me another two times. When I told her I'd taken cold medicine, she got a very condescending tone and told me that it wouldn't help for allergies. I told her that I have never had allergies that produced these type of symptoms. She proceeded to argue with me that it was allergies and not anything else. She told me she didn't believe I had strep throat. When the test came back negative for Strep, she just said, "I told you." She had a very thick accent that I did not recognize, so maybe it was a cultural difference, but she came off as very rude and condescending the whole time. I will make sure to request that she doesn't treat me next time I go in. read more

I cut my hand with a box cutter (duh!) yesterday afternoon. I arrived at this clinic about 5 pm and was immediately taken to a bed. I was assessed quickly and I realized the cut wasn't as bad as I feared. Everyone was very professional. I loved being treated by Dr. Kirk; she has a wonderful "bedside manner". An ER literally would have been faster. I know because I checked ER wait times as I've sat in this room waiting to see a doctor. ER wait times were under 15 minutes. I'm pretty sure I have a sinus infection or strep. I did Web Check In. The wait was 90 minutes. Fine. Got here 20 minutes after they called, as I said I would. Waited another 15 minutes in the lobby. Waited almost 90 minutes in the exam room before I saw a PA for approximately 45 seconds. Now they want to do tests. Seriously? I came here wanting to avoid the ER wait times. I used the web check in service they offer, which is great. I just check in online, then they call me when I can come in. The whole ordeal, including x-rays and strapping me into a fracture boot was less than 1 hour. My only irritations are I was referred to a ortho surgeon, but they continued to pursue me coming back in for a follow up? Dude. No. Also, on the weekends, they cannot verify your insurance. Since I'm with United Healthcare, I had a flat fee of 140$. I can see how people who have a urgent care copay would be pissed about this. I know I'll be reimbursed, but I think this could be a deterrent for others. read more
