STAY AWAY!!!! Neither are they knowledgeable, nor do they have empathy or the right attitude. My experience was painful. My son had fallen at school and had an elbow injury. Took him to carenow to get it checked. The wait was not as bad. They took the x-rays and the physician assistant (Jade), said the bone was broken and moved ahead to do the splint on his arm. The radiologist had not read the report by then and when i asked her, she said that she was 100% sure it was a broken bone. I had a hard time believing that since he had full range of motion (almost), had no swelling. But she said with such conviction and let her go ahead. Later the radiologist report came in as "no broken bones" and what she considered as "fracture" was just a growth plate. But they said you should still treat it as fracture until the Ortho has had a chance to check it out. Then their X-ray machine was broken and they said they would send those to another carenow for me to pick it up. They said I can go right away and pick it up. So i went to the one on Spring Creek and Coit only to be looked at like an alien form another planet speaking gibberish!! Seriously the attitude of the front office staff at that location was terrible. She literally laughed at me (don't know her name but she had really long hair) and was just chatting over the phone than attending to the issue. After waiting there for more than half hour i got no response. An hour later I got a call to pick it up from another location. i showed the X-rays to a friend of mine who is a physio and she said it is just a growth plate and definitely not a broken bone. The Ortho concluded the same and he is now out of the splint. So in this experience: 1. We never got to see the physician - only his/her assistant. I still paid $175 just for the visit and more for other items. 2. The diagnosis that is so obvious to others was somehow not at all obvious to the assistant on duty - not sure why 3. When the ortho looked at the splint wrapping he asked "did you just do it yourself or did you go to a Dr?" That's how horribly it was done. 4. The staff had no idea on what can and cannot be done at either location - this one and springcreek/coit. So I had to drive to different locations and the attitude at each (except at Allen) was just HORRIBLE!! Overall - STAY AWAY!!!! read more

I am writing this as I am waiting to see the doctor. I came here for a simple case of Pink Eye. All I wanted was a prescription for eye drops because over the counter eye drops weren't working. When I got here there were 2 people who in the waiting room yet I still waited an hour before I was called back. That was an hour ago. So, I had to wait an hour to be called back and I have spent another hour waiting for the doctor to see me. read more

Registered for an appointment online and received a text indicating that they would send a link to complete registration when ready for my appointment. Instead they called twice and never left a message (so didn't know they called or for that matter that they WOULD be calling. On the 3rd call they left a message indicating that I lost my appointment and that I would have to start this process all over again. What crap. How about getting you act together an try COMMUNICATING with clients instead of hanging up and canceling appointments. read more

Horrible!!! 2 females at front desk were RUDE, gave contradicting and mis-information regarding covid rapid testing. Waited an hour and a half after being called and told to show up ASAP despite online check-in AND phone call confirming appointment window. Nurse was RUDE and almost ripped my sons arm off when ripping off the blood pressure cuff and we never saw a doctor!! I will not bring my kids here again. CareNow needs to make their employees take customer service training.! Go through a free rapid covid testing site instead of waiting two hours to be treated so rudely. Would give zero stars if there was the option. This review has nothing to do with the actual doctors or the check up I received. This review has everything to do with the front desk and the lack of competence when it comes to running insurance. First off, they only take primary insurance not secondary but they failed to tell me that and took both of my insurance cards which made me assume they took both primary and secondary; My bill came to $200 even though I have a co-pay of $30. When I brought this up they blamed Blue Cross Blue Shield because it was Sunday and apparently their system doesn't process claims on Sundays? Sounds like a bunch of crap to me. I understand that times are chaotic, however being told that there are only two patients ahead of you with a wait time time of around 30 minutes turning into what is now 3hours is absolutely ridiculous. I have been waiting a total of 10hrs now. The pin I was given didn't work and then when I called to ask about an updated wait time the lady didn't have me in the system. Flu season is here and has knocked me down. I wOke up and came straight here. Although they didn't open til 8, they let me in at 7:45 and Saw me almost immediately as a new customer. This particular CareNow is the one my family goes. The staff is friendly and quick with getting you set up for your appointment. The nurse that takes your vitals is friendly and courteous. Every doctor we have had has great bedside manner and always makes sure that we are thoroughly taken care of before we leave. I have done a couple of different CareNow in the area, and this is the only one I will continue to use. read more

Absolutely a waste of time and money. My daughter was seen there yesterday morning. All the PA did was swab her throat. She was not seen by a doctor nor her ears and nose looked at. Ended up getting her in to her pediatrician a few hours later and was diagnosed with an ear infection and a sinus infection. Care Now was completely unprofessional and I want my $75 copay back. My daughter was told by the PA at care now that it could just be allergies. Absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional. My family has been coming to CareNow for years for various ailments and they never disappoint. The doctors and nurses are knowledgeable and compassionate. The location is clean and front desk is also on their A game. Web check in is wonderful. I went in for either a cold or the flu (it was the flu). I did the online check in which was great! Once I got to the clinic, I was taken back within 5 minutes. Wait time is extremely long even though you might check in online Poor patients have to wait such a long time to see the Dr. So if you check in online they prolly give you an apt for 2 hours after once you show up at the place you have to wait minimum of 30 min before you go in to the room. The staff here is incredible rude. That lady at the front desk had no idea how to process insurance and said it would be a cash office visit of $180 because she couldn't find the insurance information. I then did her job for her and found the benefits online in a matter of seconds. I showed them to her and only had a copay of $15. She just didn't want to put the effort it and look. Then we were called back to the room and the lady who was taking vitals was also rude. She kept cutting us off when she would ask what the issue was and would move to the next question. I called today with questions about sport physicals. My first question was if there is a separate room where physicals/well visits are conducted and the person literally laughed at me and said no. She said it is not possible because they only have 9 rooms. During such a time as this, it's not crazy to have a separate room for well patients if you are providing services for well patients or those who are not suspected of having contagious illnesses. I recently had to visit another clinic for a covid test and those there for testing were very much kept separate from other patient areas. To literally laugh at my question probably says a lot about the level of commitment to protecting patients or complete lack there of. I've been seen here in the past for sick visits, but will choose another location from now on. read more

The doctor was professional, and confirmed that I had the flu. He was very upfront with me about my options, and did not run tests just to run up the bill. I called to inquire about a DOT physical. I was told I could use Web check-in. One I completed the process I received a call stating that DOT physicals couldn't be used for Web check-in. I was then told the wait was 1 hour to 1:45 minutes. I arrived and signed in and after 30 minutes of waiting I was told it would be an additional hour and 45 minutes. They then said they could take my number and call when they are ready to see me. They said they didn't want to waste my time. . I asked why they couldn't do that in the first place. The reply was they couldn't use Web check-in but could ask if you wanted to leave and receive a call back. As I'm writing this review it's been 20 minutes since my second arrival. This is tough, because if it weren't for the serious issue I had with my prescription that was initially called in by CareNow, I would have given 5 stars. I did the web check-in, and received a call telling me when to come in. Upon arrival, I was quickly put into a room; however the wait was very lengthy. In their defense, I overheard staff telling another patient that they were down to one doctor, so I can understand the wait. Once I was seen, the doctor was very thorough and I appreciated the fact that he wanted to refer me to Medical City Plano because my symptoms were a bit perplexing and he wanted to be sure that it wasn't something more serious. I was told that if they did not find anything at Medical City Plano with their tests, to call CareNow back and they would prescribe a medication for me. After visiting Medical City Plano, I called CareNow back to get a prescription called in. The problem was that CareNow called in a prescription that I had listed on my allergy list; the nurse had even written it on my chart in bright red ink. I also asked the lab tech on the phone when she told me about the medication she was calling in, and she assured me it would not be a problem with my listed drug allergies. That evening, I went to pick up my medication at the pharmacy, but they would not fill it (YAY Walgreens!) because they showed that it should not be dispensed to me based upon my list of drug allergies. By this time, CareNow was closed and I had to wait until the next morning to call them about the prescription. The next morning, to my delight, CareNow called me to check on how I was doing - at that time, I was able to let them know about the prescription that they had called in, and that I was unable to take it. The nurse immediately made notes and arranged for a different prescription to be called in for me. Overall, my satisfaction with CareNow is very high - they followed up with me multiple times, they were very thorough in diagnosing my symptoms, and they were extremely friendly. My only problem is that they did not double-check my drug allergies, which could have been a potentially dangerous situation had my pharmacy not caught it first. For this reason, I give them 4 stars. I will return, however, and I do recommend the facility otherwise. read more

I love this Care Now so much. I even prefer it to my family doctor because the hours fit my schedule and I am always treated by such kind staff...from the young ladies behind the desk to the nurse that comes in to evaluate me and to the doctor that treats me. I am never rushed and they answer my questions and take extra time to make sure I understand.. They always call back a couple of days after my visit to see if I'm ok. I love that they go the extra steps that keep me coming back. My last doctor was Dr Stephen Buse...and I have to say he's my favorite so far. I wanted to add that the online check in was super fast! I called from work because I thought it would take a few hours to get in since it was a Friday evening. I got the call to come in 20 minutes later. This Location is the worst among CareNow locations. Be it an online check-in or a walk in the wait time is the same, between 1 to 2 hours. Add to that one hour in the clinic as the nurse measures the vitals and the doctor's assessment. After several visits to this location, here is my review: 1. The front desk team is not welcoming. 2. A very slow pace in receiving patients, even if checked-in online. 3. Once in the examination room, could stay there in their own for 30 to 45 minutes while the nurse or the doctor is sipping their coffee and chitchatting in the back office. 4. Not sure how the doctors rate, but the office experience failed. After "web check in" hours ago, including uploading our insurance cards, and completing "sex at birth" type of questions, we're told that we'll get a text / call soon to head that way. Close to an hour and a half later, they call to ask the same questions provided at web check in, nothing more. When asked about coming in, I'm told it'll be at least another 2 hours. At that point, I'm deciding to go elsewhere due to the urgency for our child. "hence, urgent care?". Sometime after that call, I get another call, not to come in now, but that they actually don't take our insurance. I shouldn't have to teach the girl who called me twice that she could have advised me of that over an hour and a half before, or even on the previous call. Delaying our child's care is nothing to play with, so we're not off to the hospital. Terrible experience. read more

I did exactly what you are supposed to do. I checked in online, I filled out the registration paperwork, uploaded my TX ID and insurance card photos and waited for the office to call and ask me to come. They called, I went into the office and was checked into an exam room after about 10 min. I then proceeded to wait 30 min in the exam room but no one ever came. I went to ask if I had been forgotten about. They said I would be seen very soon but 20 min later still no one ever came to see me. I finally walked out without getting seen or treated because I had to get back to what I left when they called me and said they were ready for me. Absolutely ridiculous! Didn't get to see the doctor here since my bf did the web check in and it seemed like it sent us to the wrong location or he just accidentally clicked the wrong location. Long story short we got there and the guy working was a huge jerk. Sick people are coming in and they barely can function let alone deal with such a... Character like him why even work in the health field if you get so annoyed of people so easily. Anyways if I ever needed to go to another care now I would drive a little further and go to the one on main. The Preston location is closer but the guy was such a condescending jerk. Witnessed one nurse being rude to another patient and my nurse just didn't seem to care. The pa that I had assist me clearly didn't read my chart since she tried giving me antibiotics I was allergic to. My experience is I have a question first off what's the point of making an online appointment and specifying how sick you are and cannot wait in a waiting area and then when I get in I have to wait another 30 min... then another 30 min alone in the room...? I love CareNow, this was my first time visiting the Frisco location and my experience was AMAZING. I utilized the web check-in and received a response within 10 minutes letting me know that they would get me in as soon as possible but there is currently a 3 hour wait. The receptionist also let me know that my insurance was accepted and what would be covered and what to expect for out of pocket cost. Within 2 hours they called to say they were ready and I was in and out. The staff was friendly and personable. Dr. Shelley Robeniol made me feel like a patient she had been seeing for years. I've been to multiple care nows in my life. This had to be the absolute worst one yet. Don't get me wrong I understand with covid and everything going but this is ridiculous. I did all my online registration and stuff 2hours before I had to show up. I get in there fill out papers and pay. The man I had spoke to told me I can wait in my car until they call me to come in which he said would be in 20-30 minutes. Keep in mind it's 1pm and I'm in my car and 2 o'clock rolls around and no call I finally get called in at 2:15. Then proceed to the desk and the lady didn't even know I filled out paperwork and then had me wait an additional 30 minutes to be called back to a room. It was 2:45 before I got a room and I spent about 5 minutes waiting on the nurse and then about 10 for the doctor. I was there for 2 hours and now they can't answer their phones so I can confirm where the doctor sent my prescription. This is ridiculous. read more
