This place is great. I was in town visiting family when my son got sick. He had a fever and we had to fly home later that day. Our doctor recommended that we get a mask for him for the trip home. I called several pharmacies in the area and they were all out. Called CareNow and spoke with Alex who said that they had them and to come on over. When I got there he gave me both adult and children's sized. I offered to pay, but that was not necessary. Great customer service. Thanks. read more

I was very impressed with the care we received at this CareNow. They were very busy but they let us know how long the wait would be and were about right. When we were seen we didn't feel rushed and the doctor and nurses were extremely thorough, kind, and on top of things. I sent my son, my 20 yo, to CareNow on Preston Rd by himself on a Saturday. He had a terrible headache with eye pain and high fevers for 3 days. I assumed he would just have a sinus infection and need some medication to clear it up. He saw Dr. Manlapa. When my son got there his fever was over 102, they did Strep, Flu A&B, and a CBC test. The first two were negative and something about the third made them do a platelet level test. After the platlet level test came back the Dr. went into to see my son. He said first the platelets were dangerously low, they were in the 120's, we were later told that is low but no where near dangerous and that he would be conducting a battery of blood tests on my son. He then told my son to prepare himself for a diagnosis of HIV/Aids and at best leukemia/lymphoma! With no base for any of this he scared my son to death. When my son came home i just couldnt beleive this so Monday morning i called our doctor and went over the visit and lab tests that were performed. Needless to say we saw our doctor on Monday, he did rerun a few of the tests and we were able to get the results finally from CareNow. Our doctor said there was nothing that should have 1.) caused the CareNow doc to run the extensive tests and 2.) cause him to think or say that my son had anything as extreme as HIV/Aids. My son has apparantly had a recent case of mono according to his labs (he was sick at Christmas ) and a viral infection. CareNow never gave him anything but narcotic pain killers for his headache. read more

My DOT Physical required further lab work. Once completed, I faxed to clinic. After several hours and no response I drove over and waited 45 minutes before any real action. A new Dr ask me to come back and did a simple exam and ask me to return for signed pprwrk later that eve. When I did I had to wait yet again. The front office staff was very friendly but the process was ridiculous. If you value time this is not the place to be seen. I WOULD NEVER COME BACK HERE. read more

Two stars because the wait is ridiculous. I thought the point of urgent care was so you can be in and out quick. I did web check in 30 min before heading to the clinic. Waited another 30 minutes to be called in. The nurse was wonderful ! After getting my charts done, waited another 40/50 mins before the doc came in. After he was done, I waited another 15 mins for him to give me my prescription and check out paperwork. Went back to the lobby and wait another 15/20 mins before the staff called me for check out... seriously, need a better system or hire more staff.. read more

They are so rude I don't want to give them any stars. Im a nurse. This is a service industry but you would not know it from meeting these people. Dr. Carew was ours and he was so incredibly rude. We came in for a laceration. He wanted my children to wait in the waiting room. One is 7 and the other is 3!!!! In the waiting room, kids are running around coughing and it was a germ-fest going on. One of my kids is a heart kid and infections and heart babies don't mix well. Also, my laceration was deep enough to expose muscle and he did not do any internal sutures. The next day I ended up going to my hospital ER bc it opened up. The PA, not MD, placed 5 subcutaneous sutures and then 8 external sutures. I will absolutely never ever go back there again. Honestly, I wish my insurance would give them a dime. read more

This is our go to place for stuff we need o deal with quickly. Dr Flores is awesome with my son. He explains what he is doing and takes the time to talk to him about his situation. We have never had a bad experience here. We do web check in. I don't know why you wouldn't-you'd just be wasting time. We have been here for everything from stitches, the flu, and a rash. I heard the doctors talking outside my room about how I was faking my neck and back pain. They were laughing and saying I bet she's not hurt she's probably faking it. Still laughing they said shhh be quiet she's still here! It was so rude and extremely uncomfortable I was there for 3 hours waiting in total. All the doctor did was come in, have me get an X-ray then come back to tell me my results. 3 hours for that! I sprained three areas in my back so I must not have been lying after all. Will never come back and if you want someone who isn't laughing about your pain I suggest you don't go to this location. read more

I am glad I didn't read the reviews before going there, because I wouldn't have gone! As it is, I did online checkin which is very convenient, arrived and was seen to a room quickly. An LVN came in initially and took a general history which was surprisingly thorough. The doctor I saw had a first name of Seth (and I believe Davis is his last name) and he was funny and informative. A different nurse (RN) came in with discharge papers after my x-ray was read and I was checked out by a very friendly clerk. Total visit time with x-rays was probably 45 minutes and everyone I encountered was friendly and seemed happy to be there. I work in healthcare and can assure you this is not always the case! I suppose every day and every doctor is different, but my experience was great. read more

If possible I would give a negative star review. The wait is ridiculous I had a standard check up and the first time took 1.5 hrs and the second time 1 hour to see the doctor. Our school nurse recommended that we go to Legacy ER/Urgent Care because of their quick ins and outs. I opted to go to this CareNow since we've been here before and it was closer. Boy was we wrong. I had issues checking in from their site and called them and they said they couldn't check me in remote but come in there's no wait. We got there in 15 minutes and waited 1.5hrs. I asked them how long the wait was when we arrived and they said 30 to 45 minute. After 1.5 hour, I asked again how much time and they said one other person was inline. While in the waiting room I googled Legacy ER and called them. They said come in. We left and when we got there they said they are known for their fast work. They had us in and out in 30 minutes. I would say the doctors are equivalent at each site but the staff method of business at Legacy will have me coming back the first time I should of listened to our school nurse too. My daughter was headed to church camp when we discovered a horrible infection on the bottom of her foot. We headed to CareNow and waited about 15 minutes before we were seen. The doctor suggested we go to Children's Hospital due to the severity of the infection. I informed him I didn't have time or $ for a hospital visit and begged him to treat her. He was wonderful and she was all fixed in no time...and made it to camp for a wonderful week. He even sent her home with hot pink athletic tape. CareNow was a life saver! read more

Would not recommend this CareNow: -Merna, front desk staff, was rude & unhelpful; acted as though she was accepting my workers compensation forms & after filling out all of their paperwork, tells me there's an hour wait, & does not examine my paperwork further; I wind up waiting an hour for her to tell me that they can not accept my forms & I won't see a doctor. -A woman who was leaving the clinic spoke to my mom & I about how I might as well consider going elsewhere because they couldn't tell her whether or not she had fractured her wrist & sent her on her way without any answers. Overall, waste of time & rude front desk staff. **I walked into another clinic right around the corner, to have the same forms that I provided this location with, approved. They validated everything & said that since the claim adjuster stated that my company did not participate in 'workers comp specific marketplaces', I could see a doctor anywhere in the area. Great service first time around. Loved my doctor, took the time to talk which is a rarity these days. Office staff here is really crappy though. I ran out of my prescription and called them early morning to see if the doctor could refill my prescription for another week since my dermatologist rescheduled on me and they said they would let the doctor know and call me back. Two hours later, no call back so I called them again and they said they would let the doctor know. 30 minutes before closing, they still hadn't called me back and when I called in they said they would try to give me a call the next day. I need the prescription now, not the next day. Takes two seconds to pick up the phone and make the call to CVS. Really crappy customer service here. Would never come back. read more

Wow, great experience. Took my son in when he was feeling absolutely miserable. The front desk and the nurse was so helpful, so kind, and so efficient. They got things started right away and was so sweet to my child. The doctor was extremely professional and thorough. He did a great job of explaining everything to us. Only con I have is the wait even after you check-in online, and get there after the call, but that seems to be a common problem with most Urgent Care facilities. I walked into this facility this morning for my continuous coughing for 3 weeks. The front desk lady with a stern face told me that I had to wait an hour to be called on my phone. Then I waited for an hour and 15 minutes and found that people arrived later than me got called. I raised my issue and got a sorry for not sending my paper work in, along with another silly excuse: we didn't know the paper work was for you! Gee, do you have to attach a picture of me on the paper work to put me in the line?! Then another 25 minutes later, I finally got called in. A new nurse(maybe it's her first day) greeted me with a smile. Then an older nurse told me that the new nurse was being trained today so they'll work together on me. Then it took 3 times for the new nurse to take my blood pressure, etc... Finally the doctor, no it's a physician assistant came in with a swoosh, said that I'd got an infection in my throat and giving me a prescription paper with antibiotics. She cannot wait for me to ask anything before she told me to wait in the waiting room and swooshed out! In fact, I am still wondering if the antibiotic is the exact medication to treat my symptom, or it is more like a one-fit-all stuff to kick me out of the clinic? I feel Urgent Care can be careless sometimes maybe because they don't have to build any relationship with you? But this one is still one of a kind! read more

Been to a number of walk-in clinics over the years - none impressed me more than this one. Their whole staff from front desk to the doctor greeted me warmly, professionally and made me feel as if my concern was their greatest concern. Dr. Robeniol in particular was outstanding in her treatment of me. I wish I could not even give this place a star rating! This is the WORST place to go for an urgent care facility. I have not had one great experience here. They are horribly understaffed. I have had to reschedule numerous times, due to the fact that I waited an hour past my SCHEDULED appointment time. The girls at the front desk are always on their phones and not paying attention and could not care about customer service if it slapped them in the face. They should inform patients if they are running behind. I understand that this is a clinic and not a REAL doctors office. I am here today on a Sunday, due to a WC follow up appointment and had an appointment scheduled at 3:00 p.m. I arrived at 2:45 p.m. It is now 4:30 p.m. and I still have not been seen except for an hour ago when they checked my vitals. They said I could reschedule but I've already wasted almost 2 hours sitting in a waiting room. No thank you. Never again. read more

Never see PA, Brittany if you want optimum care. Request to see the actual doctor (who's great) or someone else. My recent and very first visit with her was just awful. Her lack of empathy and concern was appalling. Her bedside manners were non existent. It was obvious she either didn't want to be at work or simply hates her job. This USED to be my favorite CareNow location for years, until now. I never could understand the negative reviews here and thought these people were crazy. Something has definitely changed in the department of customer care and customer service here, and it's truly sad. Management should do a better job of vetting all of their PA's before bringing them on board at CareNow Preston/Frisco. They should never just hire ANYBODY, and that's exactly what it looks like. I'm upset because now I have to search and find another "favorite" urgent care facility after all these years. There is NO WAY I'd trust Brittany again with my care, or my family's. She couldn't treat my 2nd degree burn without being condescending, rude, indifferent and uncaring. It's just unacceptable and as a paying and loyal customer, I deserve better. read more

Dr Buse left. He got promoted to clinical director. He does not see patients anymore. His replacement Dr is horrible! Dr Nguyen misdiagnosed me on 10/31/16. He said I could drink more Gatorade for my body aches. He said my congestion could be taken care of with rinsing w/ saline every hour. He also gave me the wrong antibiotics. I felt worse the next day and went to an internal medicine doctor. She tested me positive for the FLU! I called CareNow corporate office to file an official complaint. Been 2 wks, still waiting to get credit for my co-pay money. I won't go back! Sad, I was Dr. Buse's patient for 5 years. Never was told he was being replaced. read more

So I decided to give an update to my review after receiving a very curtesy and useful call from one of the managers of CareNow. He was very polite and educated me how I can check in online in future and avoid driving up and down, and just wait at home for my appt. I really appreciate customer care like that, when the business hear you and take it serious. Well I came here on a Saturday morning with really bad cold which spread to my eyes and had hard time seeing. I arrived at 8:15am ( they are open at 8am) Lady told me that it is 1.5hr waiting time and asked if I can wait... Well, just because my co-pay for urgent care is $10 instead of ER visit $200, I said sure. She offered to give me a call when my turn is up. I went home and waited for a call. Sure enough 1.5hr later I got a call. Arrived to CareNow within 5 mins and they put me in a room, after talking to a nurse, I've waited another 40mins to see a doctor. Have to admit doctor was nice, knowledgable and quick. He run tests, did exam and prescribed my medication. Everything inside was clean and in good condition. Honestly 3 stars just because a simple visit turned into 2.5hr deal. Good thing I didn't have my toddler with me destroying the whole place around :) I even managed to take a nap haha read more

Dr. Steve Buse was SO great!! He was attentive, actually looked at me when he spoke, was thorough, and it's clear he's extremely knowledgeable. And most importantly, he gave me a steroid shot that helped me tremendously with my allergies. I'd definitely visit him again. Buse's bedside manner is also awesome. I don't know why others complain about CareNow. I injured my back I phoned them they said come on in and they can see me. I arrived and within minutes the Nurse took down my symptoms and the Dr. came and quickly diagnosed me. He prescribed me a couple of medications that fixed me right up. I had an accident with a cutting utensil during my lunch break last week and made an unexpected trip to this CareNow facility since it is right by my job. They got me right in, took a look at my wound and decided it needed stitches. All things considered (having a cut that needed stitches to close) the experience was a good one. The doctor who did the stitches (Dr. Lisa M.) was a fun person to talk to. I'm a huge mavs fan and so was she so the experience of getting stitched up was no big deal at all in light of our conversation on all things Dallas Mavericks. I found this CareNow facility ( Preston Road in Frisco) to be a lifesaver when i was really sick over the weekend! I did not walk in but called to be put on the list so that I could wait at home ( and sleep!) . When i got called in I did not wait very long before I got a room. The front desk and nursing staff were all friendly and helpful ! The physician was very kind, caring, professional and very thorough in making sure she got all the details of what I was experiencing. I left with all of my concerns answered and the recommended treatment was exactly what i needed to get well. The entire operation was professional and I would definitely recommend them! read more

Just moved to Frisco from Arizona. Husband seems to have bad infection. Tried to go to Care Now and we were informed that "it is the law" that they can't accept Medicare patients. " THE LAW". My husband offered to self pay . Nope, not even if we paid cash. Is this another "blame Obama " trick? She claimed there was a link on their site telling us who would agree to see a medicare patient for urgent care. It wasn't there. But we found PrimaCare where he is now checked in . As an ex office manager I assure you there is no such law. Care Now just doesn't want to accept medicare patients. read more

I went to this location to deal with my really bad allergy symptoms this season. I checked in online the night before and was admitted immediately when I arrived. Dr. Buse was very clear and direct about my treatment. He made suggestions to help me save some money on prescriptions and was generally very caring. The medical technician was very professional and courteous while administering my steroid shot. I will definitely utilize Care Now for my medical needs. read more
