Keep on driving. At 1:10p - made appointment for 2:10p. Text said "Your estimated time is within 15 min of 2:10". Arrived at 2:05p and checked in. Finally got to a room at 2:51p. "They will see you shortly!" 3:55p: tech enters the room to get vitals. 4:20p: nurse practitioner enters 4:24p: nurse practitioner exists. (Checks ears: "he has an ear infection" then says "oh maybe I should check his throat too. Well it won't matter since he'll be on antibiotics. Which one do you prefer?") eyebrow raise. Zero communication regarding the wait times. Zero apologies. Wait time of 2 hours and 15 min (with an appointment) for a 4 min visit where I directed the care and chose the treatment plan. How long was the walk-in wait time you ask? 2 hours. Please go anywhere but here unless you want to pay the moment you arrive so you're essentially trapped from going anywhere else. read more

I'm leaving this review long after I went, but my daughter went today and had a horrible experience and will be contacting their corporate office. I've decided I should share my experience from a year ago. I had been having significant pain in my side and a nurse friend suggested it might be gall stones. I went to this facility because the receptionist told me they could check for gall stones when I called ahead. After arriving, paying my fee up front, a waiting for quite a while, I was called back. When I saw the nurse practitioner I was informed that they did not have the means to check for gall stones (xray). I told her I had called ahead and asked specifically for this, waited, PAID, and then told there's nothing they could do there and I should go to the ER. I asked if I could get a refund and was bluntly and rudely told that I was paying for the nurse practitioners expertise! She didn't touch me, I didn't have any test. I was in the room with the NP for less than 2 minutes. My bill was $168! After my daughter's experience today and my experience I would strongly urge people to seek a better facility. This one needs to be shut down. read more

Slowest "urgent" care. We were there for 3 hours the day after my wife was in a crash. I'd understand if they had a busy lobby or something but when we walked in there was 1 other person. We filled out the paperwork and waited to get brought back. In that time frame only one person came out of the back. When they brought us back it did not look like any of the other rooms were occupied. They got us in a room and we waited for over an hour (for reference we watched almost the entirety of Kung Fu Panda 1 they had playing throughout the clinic) before the provider came and saw us. After she saw us we waited another 20mins for X-ray. Then we waited another 15mins before I had enough and asked where the doctor was so her X-rays could be read and we could finally leave. At the end of it we got referred to physical therapy and prescriptions for pain meds so overall it worked out but that was ridiculous for how empty they were. read more

Well, like I always say, consistency is key!! Tis the time of year for me to get sick I guess, so I'm amending my prior review of this location. What an absolutely terrible experience. The location is super convenient for me, but I think I'll drive a bit further next time. I came here because my primary doctor isn't able to fit me in for a couple days. I give 1 star for location and an exceptionally short wait time since you can check in online, and the 2nd star is because the nurse who worked with me was exceptionally kind and showed empathy and care for my distress. Dr. Norman on the other hand... he spent less than 60 seconds in my room. No, I'm not exaggerating. He never stopped moving around in my room. I attempted to share with him what I needed from him, and express to him what I was previously prescribed that did not work, but due to my shortness of breathe, cough, and vomiting, it would have taken him longer than 60 seconds to hear me, so instead, he said to me, "trust me, this will work, my wife gets this all the time." Inside, I thought to myself, 1. I am not your wife. 2. I am probably not your wife's age. 3. I am probably not your wife's race. 4. You don't know my health history, because you won't take two seconds to listen, and there's a substantial chance that my health history varies drastically from "your wife". I was so disappointed in my interaction with him, but I had absolutely zero energy to yell at him "stop", "please listen", "why don't you care?!". So I took the prescriptions he gave to me, read them, and to my prediction, he gave me the exact medicine I was prescribed previously that did not work. Had he listened, he could have actually helped me. It's such a shame they have such a heartless doctor serving here. read more

Came here to get some stitches taken out that I had put in at a different location.The women at the front desk originally told me they wouldn't take them out because someone else had put them in. After she went to speak to a doctor she said they would take them out but it would be $180. I had been trying to inform her through the entire ordeal that it is a worker's comp situation but she wouldn't even listen to me. I had my papers faxed over from my insurance to get them taken out but somehow they mysteriously didn't have them. Very unaccommodating staff and all together just a bad experience. read more

DO NOT WASTE your time just go to the ER. Made a appointment for my wife online at 1239 today for first available appointment. After waiting 2 hours with no automated text back. We called the clinic and was told the text system wasn't working correctly and we should come in a 4pm. Arrived at 4pm was processed and brought back to an exam room. We sat in the exam room for 2 hours. No communication. No news from the staff. Nothing. We literally wasted 7 hours for nothing. My wife still hasn't been seen she is still in pain. Seeing as I am a Nurse Practitioner this type of care and communication is so sub par I wouldn't give it even 1/2 a star but that is not an option Pros: The young lady at the front desk was very nice and was trying. They sent us to a different urgent care, and once we got there, they told us they weren't sure why they did that because there wasn't even a wait where we came from. Do not come here. Went to this clinic on Saturday with no appointment and they did a thorough exam and sent over the antibiotics that I needed. My visit at CareNow was noteworthy. Dr. Thompson was great. He had a great bedside manner; very caring and detailed. He listened and explained thoroughly. The nurses were nice comforting. The fact the I could check in online and wait at home was awesome. I was feeling really bad and was glad not to have to sit in a waiting room. Once I arrived I only had to wait about 10 minutes to go to the back; then about 15 to 20 minutes once I was taken back. So, I was very pleased with my care and my diagnosis. OMG!!! My wife and I had to file a formal complaint with the Rutherford County Sheriff because of the behavior of Dr Thompson!! Seriously, His actions were extremely rude, suspicious, and disgusting, if not illegal!! My wife went to this clinic and was given the wrong antibiotics. We returned. Dr Thompson entered the room without introducing himself or even making eye contact. He began asking my wife quite personal questions without even looking up from his laptop. My wife is Austrian and asked me to be with her for interpretation as English is not her mother tongue. She misunderstood one of the question asked and I interjected. Dr Thompson was extremely curt with his, " YOU SHUT UP! I wasn't asking you!" I stood up, extended my hand, and said, "Maybe we should start over. Hi, I'm Peter Jackson. This is my wife and I am her interpreter." He refused to shake my hand and told me, "I don't care who you are. You get out!" I looked at my wife and knew what pain she was in. This visit was just about getting a different antibiotic and I certainly wasn't going to choose a battle with this guy today and I walked out. I went to the front desk, blurted out to the all of the nurses there that the doctor was a complete a-hole. They all laughed in unison. It was obvious that they all felt the same way. The manager took me into her office and assured me that she would write a report about his behavior. I waited for my wife to return. When she appeared, she was crying. We paid the bill hurriedly and left. She was quiet the whole way home. When we got home she went into the bathroom and cried alone for over an hour. When she had cried enough, she told me that didn't understand Dr Thompson and asked for me to return and interpret. Dr Thompson refused to allow her interpretation and scared her into thinking that she might not be able to have children and needed to due a pelvic exam. She followed his instructions and submitted to being probed by him. AS HE WAS INSERTING HIS FINGERS INTO HER HE SAID, "This might hurt a bit. I am a tall man." Now, what were his intentions there? He had already removed her husband from the situation. BTW, I am certainly not a tall man. Was he trying to be funny? Was he just being a dirty old man? Or worse??? This should not have happened. A simple UTI should not include this kind of torture. Not only did I file the police report, but I also contacted the parent company in Nashville to file a complaint with them. They have never replied. Two days ago I filled out another Yelp review saying the same. Dr Thompson or the hospital complained and had it removed. I will continue to re-file them. I encourage anyone that has had a bad experience with Dr Thompson to contact the Rutherford County Sheriff. the absolutle worst they take forever to get ppl seen i can remember being there one day and they had stopped taking patients for covid testing instead of putting a note on the door people would wait in line to get checked in and get up to the desk 15 minutes later only to be turned away i took my son there who has 100% medical covrage through the state which they assured me they would take i was charged 207/00 actully my 14 year old was!!!!! so now im paying off 307.00 that the medicla insurance should of paid or they should of told me they didnt cover it whatever it was so i could use my better judgem,ent now out of my 1200.00 a month income withy rent being 900.00 and raising my 14 year old by myself im left to pay 50.00 a month out of the 125 or so im left with each month so my credit which is perfect at the moment with THIS BEING MY ONLY DEBIT yeah sure its only 6 months one may say but most ppl dont live on social security disability due to epilepsy and raise a child by themselves i will never go there again nor will my son i myself have both medicare and medicaid so there is no way they wouldnt take my insurance but ill be damned if i use their services or refer anyone to them ever again this place is a joke read more

We had a great experience at CareNow! It was nice to go to and urgent care with the ability to take X-rays for a much lower cost than going in to the ER (and not to mention much cheaper!). We had very little wait time for a weekend. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. read more

Came in on a Monday overall felt taken care of. The next day they left me a voicemail saying if I had any questions or concerns to give them a call. Thursday morning I woke up feeling terrible. I felt like I needed something prescribed to me. I call them and explained my situation. First the male just puts me on hold and never comes back like he just didn't want to deal with me then a female takes the call and proceeds to be rude and smart with me. Told me they told me to go to the ER on Monday. I told her I did. I asked if my original doctor was there (because she already knows everything and this is the same case so to speak) she told me the doctor was not there but I could call back another day to see if she is. Like wtf I need help now. She then tells me well your options are to call back a different day, go to the ER or come in and see the doctor that is here. Why do I need to come in and see the doctor when I already have a diagnosis?! And she read stuff "from my chart" that wasn't even the correct information. They had no compassion or care. Only reason I can give one star is because of the nurse. She was so kind and had great bed side manner. The doctor on the other hand doesn't know how to respectfully communicate with her patients. I came in around 7:10. I was told it was about a 30 minute wait. So I was relieved to find out that I wasn't gonna keep them open past close knowing my appointment would be very short. By the time I was brought in, the new wait time for those who came after me was 2 hours. Very unfortunate but that comes with working in the service industry. I come back and sat in the room waiting for my doctor to come. I told her my issue and that I just needed a prescription. I felt the need to let her know that I had taken the same medicine quite recently in case that was of any importance. Telling her the dose and milligrams taken. She interrupted me saying "I know how much to prescribe" with quite an attitude. I told her I was only giving her all the information she needed just in case. She then looked at her watch and said "I was suppose to be off at 7" (it was 7:10 at this point) and I apologized and sympathized with her situation but she ignored me and walked out and I never saw her again. read more

The woman at the desk was super kind to me through the whole process as I just needed a note to confirm I was no longer I'll and could return to work due to covid-19 precautions. However, the kindness ended as I went back to the exam room. Dr. Thompson is one of the rudest healthcare professionals I have ever met. Immediately filling walking in the door he proceeds to tell me I am wasting his time and that it is ridiculous that he has to fill out a note for my work. Granted, I would also prefer to not have to spend my time and money getting checked out for an illness I no longer have, but I am a paying patient and shouldn't be spoken to like that upon immediately meeting the man for a situation I have no co tr over. The rest of the visit all he would mention is how it was a waste of his time and how ridiculous it was. Meanwhile I was just sitting there uncomfortable as ever because I was just trying to do what I needed so I could go back to work. Would never go here again after this experience with Dr. Thompson. It's a shame really because I have been here before and saw another doctor who was wonderful, but I don't feel like risking an awful experience if Dr. Thompson is working during my next potential visit. This is 1 out of 2 offices that my husband's work would let him go to to be covid tested to get excused from work. We waited 5 hours in the parking lot before they called him in to be seen. 5 HOURS! Truly ridiculous. If we had been told 5 hours ago that the wait was predicted to be this long then we would have gone elsewhere. My wife and I came into this urgent care because she had a urinary tract infection. My wife speaks German and asked me to be with her for the exam. Dr. Thompson came in The patient room and started yelling at me to leave. He then took my wife in the back and did not tell me what was going on. My wife came out crying and told me that he assaulted her. (The story from behind the curtain is of nightmares !) I spoke with the manager there who is very pleasant and kept me occupied while dr Thompson was having his way with my wife! We went to the sheriffs department and filed a report against Dr. Thompson. I am shocked at how I was treated and I'm in total disbelief at how my wife was treated. No one has called and apologized following several reports to the hospital and the urgent care but they manage to have my reviews of the urgent care removed from yelp. We both want apologies. I will continue to speak the truth about our encounter until the hospital follows up with me! The Rutherford county Sheriff needs others with similar experiences to come forward before anything can be done! read more

Great friendly staff!!! Always a short wait time, and you can check in online before your even leave your house(which really shortens your wait time). They have TVs with movies playing, WiFi, and free snacks and beverages. Also it's very clean, and well kept. The front staff is friendly as well as the doctors however, they completely misdiagnosed me. Had me taking antibiotics for a UTI that later turned out to be false, had me taking antivirals and told me I probably have genital herpes. A week later, blood results came back negative. I had to tell the doctor 3 times to check out my symptoms, she barely glanced at it and said "it's probably herpes" and had my blood taken. I later googled my symptoms and realized it was a yeast infection. I purchased Monistat on my own and was better a day later. I spent $80 on the office visit and medication I did not need and was in pain for a week all due to this misdiagnosis. If they can't even diagnose a yeast infection correctly, what kind of physicians do they have working there? read more

I went to this location to get a cough and chest congestion checked out and they were wonderful. It was pretty busy, but they were apologetic for the wait and kept things moving as quickly as possible. I can't remember the doctors name, but she was kind and listened well. As someone who has anxiety about doctors offices, they helped ease my anxiety and make the experience better. They even called the next day to check on me and see how I was feeling. We waited 3 hours for them to tell me "you're fine." There were only 4 people in front of us in line. We weren't given a warning about the wait time. One of the nurses acted like she knew nothing about two very common medicines I'm taking. The doctor seemed to somewhat know what he was talking about. I still don't understand why I had to wait 2 hours until they put me in a room -- and I had to wait another 30 min for the doctor to come in. It was an hour after they closed until we left. First time visiting CareNow Urgent Care at Medical Center Parkway. It was a breeze registering online and had a call 15 minutes later to inform me to be at the premises in half hour. Everyone was so friendly and makes a sick people feel good when I arrived. The front desk was nice and attentive. The nurse who brought me in left in the middle of our consultation saying she just got her period and it was coming right then and there. Very unprofessional. She then came back and apologized and did the strep and flu test. I waited over an hour until I finally went out and asked if I was going to receive my results soon. They apologized that no one came and updated me on the wait time. The doctor finally came and and asked me why I was there and did her observations then asked if I had any tests done. She didn't even know I had! She came back in and prescribed me my medicine. I went to get it filled only to find out it is Amoxicilin when I am ALLERGIC to penicillin.
