Checked out her online website and blog and loved her natural style and use of natural light & nice candid shots. Talked to her on the phone and she seemed like someone really easy to work with and her pricing was very reasonable. So we decided to book her for our September wedding. She was on time, professional, relaxed, which also helped me be relaxed. Her pictures come out beautiful and really captured the day for us. The only thing I wish, was that she was more assertive during our family pictures or when we went around the tables to take pictures with our guests so that it would run more smoothly (but then again, it doesn't seem in her nature since she is such a chill person) and that they got more shots of our guests mingling during cocktail hour or the dinner. Since there were 3 of them there, I was hoping for more variety of shots. Other photographers we have seen can over-edit photos where they look too "perfect". Jennifer and Jeff did our engagement session at two locations in Golden Gate Park. At each location, Jennifer guided us with her creative vision on where and how to pose. She is very professional and does her research of each location before she meets with you, so she comes to the session with an outline of her vision. She also rolls with the punches if things do not go as planned, such as the weather or lots of people in the area we are photographing. Jennifer and Jeff also did the photography for our wedding ceremony and reception. Having the both of them there was a blessing and they were able to capture perfect moments to help us remember our special day. Not only did we have pictures at the floor level, but they also were able to capture some photos of the ceremony from the choir loft above the entrance of the church. For the purposes of full disclosure--I didn't even think about video until I worked for Joel for a year back in 2004, but once I saw other people's videos and how special it was to get to witness the ceremony and all the special moments of the reception in full motion and sound--I knew that if I ever got married I would want it on DVD. I hadn't met the guys who shot my wedding before, but they showed up in suits, were very quiet, and respectful, and they got all the big shots of the procession, and all the intimate shots of the vows, as well as all the toasts and main dances. The editors put it all together into a very watchable hour and a half video and we got it within four months of the wedding. Michele has done amazing photography for some of my friends, so when my boyfriend and I decided we wanted some 'grown-up' photos of ourselves.. you know, photos absent of beer bottles and random people in the background... we knew we had to ask Michele! They are professionals and their equipment is legit!
