5 Stars! This place is across the street from the hotel that I'm staying at. It's a GEM! Spotted It on the drive to the hotel. Deceived to check it out and I'm glad I did. The waiter was very attentive. She recommended a Moscow mule to me based on what I told her that I liked. It was the first I've ever had one and I loved it. (Spicy drinks are my thing now). After visiting Canada for Caribana this one of the first food spots we stopped at and boy when I tell you this was some of the best food I had. I had the lo mein with fried pieces of steak. It was sooo good we went back the next day for seconds. Their lunch special menu is so affordable I loved it here would definitely recommend for the food drinks aren't as strong but they were good. if I'm ever in Canada again I definitely would be back here again. read more

Just happened to come across this place and ordered takeout. The owner was very friendly and the service was quick. I ordered a lunch special not realizing it didn't apply on the weekend but the owner was accommodating and made an exception! She even offered extra jerk sauce on the side. The portions are HUGE! Chicken in de ruff is a crispy fried chicken served on a generous portion of fried rice. The jerk chicken lunch was also tasty and served with lots of chicken fried rice and noodles. The hot sauce served on the side was a nice touch; very spicy! Overall would recommend. You'll have enough food for leftovers :) read more

IN LOVE with Caribbean Lyme, for their delicious dishes. Since discovering this restaurant through a friend, we've been 4 times in the past month. It's a top pick for dinner. Food: fried bangamary and Gango beef are a MUST try. Some of the juiciest fried fish I've ever eaten and the lives are huge. Gango beef is inspired by the owner and is packed with flavour. They use a short rib that is saucer up with some kind of magic. Other favourites are the spicy chicken wings and chow mein! Service: friendly staff at the restaurant. Service is quick but it can be busy on weekends! If you plan on dining in, possibly call ahead or be mindful of a potential wait but it's worth it. Good for take out orders too! read more

Visiting from out of town. Great selection on the menu. Stuck with some of the more familiar Caribbean fare and thoroughly enjoyed it. The kids enjoyed their food too. Not always a guarantee that they will. Went with wings, curry goat, Caribbean chicken, and sizzling seafood. All was great. Special shout-out to the staff for looking out for my daughter! Do NOT buy food from this eatery! Prices are not as advertised!!! I went to try takeout from Carribean Lyme 2 weeks ago and was sorely disappointed with the service and quality of the food I received. For example,  I ordered pepper shrimp and was provided with breaded shrimp instead. That however was just the tip of the iceberg! When I went to pick up my order they quoted me a total of $75 dollars. This was completely incorrect from the total of $61.94 I arrived at using the prices from their website so I asked the lady cashing me out to provide me with a breakdown of the pricing. To add insult to injury they tacked on another $1.00 b/c they had made a "mistake". Another lady brought over the price breakdown to me and advised that it wasn't their fault that the website wasn't updated. I almost left the food right on the counter! I assured her that it may not be her fault directly (as I was not sure if she was the owner or not) but it was indeed the fault of the resturant who should not mislead its customers and to provide proper pricing.  They did not offer to honour their online prices and some of the food was bland  making the experience not even worth the cost! The corn soup had no chuncks of corn and/ or dumplings in it making it quite a boring endeavour. (Only canned creamed corn was used). I managed to eat 1/3rd of my order before setting it aside. I was also not impressed with the shrimp which was a soggy breaded mess by the time I got home to eat it. A few puncture holes in the top of the container would have helped and considering that I had ordered pepper shrimp (not the breaded shrimp I received), I was truely not impressed! I won't even touch on the fact that I had ordered Beef Rib LoMein but received regular Beef LoMein instead. (At least this particular item tasted good). I have also never been charged extra for asking for no onions and/ or corn in my Mixed Veg order. They must have had to pick out all the onions by hand lol... I thought this was a freshly made item but perhaps they make it in batches, the container was not even full to the brim! Needless to say I will not be heading back to this restaurant ever again. read more

WE went there today for the first time, and if we didn't live so far away I'd be there all the time. It's bright and clean. The food is very tasty, fast, fresh and the service was really good. The jerk is divine. I had mixed veggies with mixed meats, and my friend had the Gangos chicken fried rice. We also ordered wings. It was all very good, and reasonable. I was a little puzzled that they list African cuisine on their ads and website. It was one of the reasons we decided to check it out. I didn't see anything on the menu that I recognized as African. It was mostly Chinese with some curry and jerk mixed in. I like Caribbean-style Chinese and it was fab. The best I've had in this part of the world. read more
