I was treated with respect and quickness from the staff. The food wasn't too overly priced and man oh man. That jerk pork was hitting the spot. I had that along side of the Jerk chicken and rice and peas with gravy. And I DOGGED IT! Wash that down with a carrot and orange juice and you feel like royalty. Go and enjoy people. Like no it does not the dmn curry chicken is in front of us u jus put it in the roti self n wrap. Which annoyingly enough she had the privilege of doing and def needs help on how to wrap it. Food we got the curry chicken roti , two patties and a drink. She even messed up the name of the drink smh. The food itself was great full of flavor w the right amount of sauce and seasoning. This is my go to spot for cheap carribean food! The service is great and the food is even better! I always get a spicy beef patty and the jerk chicken with rice and beans. What a gem to find this in Woodbridge. Tried it for the first time on Sunday. Ordered the Chicken Roti and OMG! Was the best I ever had. Usually I would drive into Mississauga for some Caribbean food but to find this place 10 mins was golden. Roti was very filling and savoury. Very generous on the portion. Small take out Carribean/Jamaican restaurant with seating space for nine (9) customers. Employees/servers were very pleasant to interact with. Ordered the Oxtail on rice and peas with a side of coleslaw but you have the option of a salad instead. Coleslaw seemed like it came out of a bucket. Oxtail was very good. Meat was very tender, fall off the bone. Seasoning was good, flavourful. I also ordered a beef patty. They do not make their own patties though. Not a deal breaker. The beef patty they offer is good. Not many Caribbean restaurants in Woodbridge/Vaughan. Living only a few minutes away from this plaza, I will definitely have to try this place again to get a good feel for it. Price wise, I feel it is a bit more expensive than other restaurants serving the exact same food. But I guess it's a price to pay for having it so 'close to home'. Quite frankly, one of the best Caribbean food I've had in the GTA. I followed my co-workers here for the lunch special and was not disappointed. Well priced, at just $7, with a choice of jerk, bbq, or fried chicken. I got the jerk chicken and it was spot on, flavourful, tender, not dry at all, and spiced just right. The rice and beans were delicious! It was well flavoured (either already in the pot, or they poured some sauce on top, I didn't catch it), but it was quite tasty on its own without the chicken. There's a choice of sides, and I was happy to see that vegetables was one of them. Lastly, I had to try their beef patties. It was also very good, 10 times better than any frozen stuff you get at the supermarket, and the filling is very flavourful and saucy beef. I will definitely return to try their BBQ chicken. read more

I am from Santa Fe, Texas and I am in town for work. Some people told me that there were a few Caribbean restaurants but they all mentioned this place. I went on the net and looked at many reviews of this place and other and decided from the reviews to try it. Normally I am skeptical when most of the reviews are really high for a small place but I am glad I listened. Ade served me and was very friendly and accommodating. I couldn't decide on one thing so I got the jerk chicken, curry goat, and oxtails on rice. I also got some of the coleslaw for a side and a piece of black cake for desert. I then tried a pineapple ginger drink. Everything I would try was just as good as the rest. I have eaten oxtails many times and even cooked it but this was off the chart. I also don't like curry but I couldn't stop eating the goat. The chicken was the last thing I tried and wow. It was outstanding. As for the sides, the rice had a very bold flavor and was one of the best I have eaten of it's kind and the coleslaw was a great addition to be able to cool my mouth between the bites. Oh by the way ask for the hot sauce on the side. Luckily I did, because the flavor was great but that stuff tasted like straight habanero. The Black cake was the last of course... Maybe I should have filled up on the cake first. Ade said that his wife does the cooking. I am just glad she isn't my wife because I would weigh 500 pounds. Go by and try it. It only has 28 seats and the island music is playing. I will probably eat here again before I leave which is in two days but I can't get enough. I'm a little surprised it's so highly rated and I kind of suspect that it's because there's not too much competition. The amount of salt used can be very aggressive and overpowering (like drinking sea water sometimes). I wish I liked this place more because there's not too many other local options, but overall I would order from here again when I don't feel like traveling farther. read more
