Best hike and cruise to Buck Island! We stayed on the island until 2pm. Other tours left long before us. We hiked the nature trail. Eddie had interesting facts about most of the plants, wildlife and the best snorkeling spots. We had a wonderful time and hike to the observation platform with wonderful views. We hiked down the other side, ate the lunch we packed and still had time to swim and snorkel. We had the best day! The weather was perfect. We saw lots of fish snorkeling and had a nice ride back we a great crew and othet nice people on the tour. read more

They were all SO knowledgeable about everything and so much and extra extra kind and caring. We stopped at a beach first. So beautiful. It was my first time snorkeling and they taught us all how to do it properly while on the beach. Once we were at the reef, they were so helpful and I felt comfortable swimming around. I am SO afraid of the ocean but they made it so comfortable for me and I felt safe. I will definitely come back and do this with them. Amazing! Super easy to book and fairly easy to find (right on the boardwalk of Christiansted). The captain and the two shipmates were extremely helpful, friendly and knowledgeable (and also funny!). The snorkeling by the reef was great and easy for beginners as well. My wife doesn't even know how to swim and she didn't struggle much at all. I saw an entire family of blue fish and then afterwards we relaxed on the pristine white sand of turtle beach for an hour. Hands down one of the most beautiful beaches I've ever visited. My wife and I took my 5 and 3 year old boys on this trip. We decided to do the half day adventure for obvious crazy kid reasons. It was the perfect day. My 5 year old was apprehensive about snokeling but the crew (Morgan, 1st mate I believe) took him out one on one and made it a trip to remember for him. She did the same for the 3 year old. Allowing my wife and I to enjoy the water. The boat was immaculate, the Captian was amazing and the rest of the crew were on point. I was in the Navy for 23 years and I would take this crew with me every time. We saw Sea Turtles, starfish, schools of fish, Baracuda (baracuda were just during the boat ride) and a nurse shark. We did the four hour Buck's Island beach and snorkeling excursion on "Celebration" with Captain Ali and first mate CC. Lots of fun. Buck's Island beach is beautiful. We had good weather but snorkeling was a bit restricted by high winds that limited how closely we could approach the reef - no matter, we saw plenty of fish and had a great time. "Celebration" is a fast, fun, and well equipped boat. The trip including the snorkeling gear. Captain Ali and CC did an amazing job engaging with everyone on board and making sure we were having a good time while keeping a watchful eye on everybody. We would do it again!! read more

Had a great time with the all-female crew, Allie, Kim, Owen, and Isis. Our group's snorkel leader Isis was great and Own was great at pointing out the various fish and even a shark! Best day ever! If this is your first trip to Saint Croix, do not leave without taking a Buck Island tour with CSA! This only underwater national park is the most stunning snorkeling location imaginable. I highly recommend this tour company. They were wonderful to work with from the store front to the ocean. We booked a 1/2 day trip to Bucks Island through Our cruise. The cruise docks on the opposite side of the island so it was about a 45 min. Van ride. (No stars deducted just letting you know if you come in on a cruise) The trip itself was fun. We went to the Buck's island for a swim and test snorkel. The surf was uncharacteristically rough and some swimmers needed help getting back on the boat. The crew was awesome! Haley was and exceptional lead mate. Although small stature, she is strong and used the floatation ring to get to weaker swimmers back aboard. Then we went to the National Underwater preserve. No beach, swim direct off the boat. Colorful fish were plenty. (Our St Thomas snorkel was better) Only negatives were choppy sea and long drive from cruise port. I think I'd rather have the full day cruise just for a longer experience. If I go back to St. Croix I'll def. try this company again! read more

I was fairly unimpressed with our tour and the available snorkeling. I have snorkeled some pretty cool places and this was simply not very exciting. We didn't see all that much and our tour guide didn't do much in terms of guiding. We arrived at the beach and the guide told us we couldn't do the hike that people were planning on doing because of time restraints. Keep in mind that we were on the whole day tour so I'm not sure what the rush was...it was like the guides had plans at exactly 4pm...they couldn't give people 15 extra minutes so they could do the promised hike? I would suggest maybe taking a different tour and not bothering with the snorkeling. The beach was very nice and worth an afternoon hanging out and eating some snacks (if you can find an easy way to get there). read more

Our group (in town for a wedding) chartered the Deliverance for a full day trip to Buck Island. It was a better price than using one of the set time tourist trips and we could pretty much do what we wanted. We brought our own coolers and Captain Grant and first-mate Kendall did everything else- including opening my wine bottle with a knife :-) The guys were awesome- knowledgeable about the boat, the reef and snorkeling, teaching those that needed refreshers in the water and generally being cool dudes. All snorkeling equipment was provided and we were guided through part of the grotto and then given some time to check out the rest of the reef. We spent the rest of the day on turtle beach where this crew was patient, fun and seemed happy to engage with our partying crew. They also make a mean rum punch that was included. I am a prior STX local so feel like I can speak to many boating and Buck Island experiences- back as a tourist this trip but it felt like home and was a great time!
