Stopped by to pick up a few things. The store was clean. Had a bit of difficulty finding an item. When we asked one of the employees, she did not hesitaste to help. She immediately took us to what we were looking for. Upon checking out, there were only two registers open and the line was starting to get long. A one stop shop for everything Caribbean! This place is conveniently located close by my parent's home, and it's a must visit everything I'm in their area. I stock up on a lot of the Caribbean goods that you can't find at the regular American shop. The prices here are hard to beat compared to some other places in the area. They carry everything you can possibly think of, from fresh meats to seafood, vegetables and grits, pantry items and even authentic Guyanese and Trinidadian cooking pots and pans. Store is always kept clean and very organized which I always appreciate! The staff are friendly and they'll go out of their way to help you locate something if you can't find it yourself. Definitely one of my favorite places to visit and stock up on items I need before coming back home. read more

Yes, it's not as clean as a Publix or Fresh Market but I wasn't expecting that. It's a well-organized place to get all your Caribbean groceries and goods and by the turnout on a Saturday afternoon, quite popular. They're very strong in things like canned and bottled items, frozen items, spices, and especially impressive in their array of groceries more specific to Trinidad and Tobago like kuchela--several varieties all of quality. I wandered through the bottled drinks section wondering where the syrups for making drinks were and came around to another aisle with a big sign atop declaring "syrups" and yes, there they all were. So there wasn't really anything I couldn't find here, I will say their produce is a bit hit or miss: bananas were good, cabbages however didn't look great. Same in the meat department--you have to look around some. Also, if you want food from the kitchen or bakery, come early because they apparently close all that down early--especially if you want fresh festivals. As far as inside you are going to find all your homesick items if you are Jamaican/Caribbean nationality. It is a large Food Lion size grocery store w only international products. The meat section is service by taking number wait about 10-15mins. Located near front right corner is a fresh cooked order-up option w all traditional Jamaican dishes. I found a new Jamaican beer hadn't tasted which actually like better than Red Stripe, (Dragon) has a honey taste. My aunt recommended we visited this place since we have no Caribbean grocery stores where we live in Florida. It's a 40 min drive but it was worth in, walking into this place triggered my inner child. The space is huge and it did not disappoint, every possible food you can think of that's from the islands they have, from your veggies, snacks, drinks, fresh cut meat and fish. They have a bakery where you can get your fresh bread and pastries, if you're craving Caribbean fresh cooked food it's there, this is what you call a one stop shop. This is the Promised Land of West Indian SUPER markets in Orlando Florida. My brother recently moved West near the Tampa- Spring Hill area and found himself at a loss when it came to grocery shopping and preparing native Caribbean dishes. The south is home to many typical chain grocery stores such as Publix and Sam's Club. He did some research and stumbled upon this Island Treasure. It made me feel I was back home in Jamaica Queens. Or Jamaica West Indies for that matter. As soon as you step foot inside you can smell the fresh curry spices. Curry from every country. They carry a lot of true Indian spice as well. If you're of the Hindu faith, they have a religious aisle with goods to purchase. They've got IT ALL! Cue Shirley Caesar Please. You Nammmmmmme IT ! They've got curry, peas, callaloo greens, guava paste, Tamarind balls, pure coconut oil, tonic...Buddhas. Your name it ! This trip was mainly for fresh red snapper, spices and vegetables. With Thanksgiving just a few days a way, we had to take the 1 hour and 15 minute trip to the area. I was extremely impressed by all this market packed in one building. There was such a nice selection of Hot Buffet items, a bakery, a holistic and health/ beauty aisle and counter. Their selection of soft drinks was amazing. They have a soda brand for every country pretty much. Trini's- they've got your Sorrel Shandy! Jamaicans, they have your full line of Ting flavors. If you're in the area, you must stop by. Even if you're not grocery shopping. Pick up some quick Caribbean snacks like Pine Tart, sorrel, champagne kola, patties, a plate or some treats like tamarind balls and rum cake. read more

If I could give negative stars I would. Worst customer service you'd ever come to. Buy lots of items from them and give them profit, you try to EXCHANGE a single item out of hundreds you just bought and they give you shit here and there. Extremely rude and disrespectful. If the customer service would change, and I mean a whole new staff of people with respect, this place would be amazing. My gosh!! This is my fave place in Orlando for Goat curry and Kokum tea and I can't believe I haven't already reviewed it! We drive almost 30 mins from my home to get here - the ladies at the food counter are super awesome! We were served today by Babita who was very lovely and explained some food options that mum and I weren't familiar with. Everything at the bakery and the food area is made in house and it's super delicious! Not to mention also very reasonable. They have a special of the day for $6. The standard large Lunch option is a curry with rice (they have x3 kinds - white rice, red beans and rice and hopping John rice) plus salad and plantains for $8.99. I got the large goat curry with red beans and while some of the goat pieces were cut unevenly, the actual meat itself was very flavorful and tender and not at all oily. My mum got a veggie plate and the collard greens she got were super delicious. The other two options on her plate was a eggplant and potato casserole and curried pumpkin. I also love the Kokum (red) drink made here - it's not overtly sweet and I love the hint of ginger that comes thru. So while this is a super-market, we don't actually do much grocery shopping here as sometimes been disappointed with food quality - e.g. Bought coconuts that turned out to be past their by sell date! All things Caribbean in one place! Most Caribbean supermarkets are small cramped and overstocked. No there. It is huge with an enormous selection of fresh produce, meat, fish, grocery, and anything and everything imaginable from the Caribbean. Off to one side of the supermarket is an entire section of cooked food. There is a buffet style showcase with at least 20 items to choose from. Take a ticket, or they would ignore you. When your number is ceremoniously called step up and be ready to order or they will move on to the next person. Did I mention service is a little lacking? Very unCaribbean. On this occasion, the goat curry was fall off the bone tender. Although, there was way too much curry powder present. The curry was very unbalanced and watery. Rice and peas was a little on the dry side. Sweet plantains were spot on. Some items are a hit or miss here. read more

Coming from a Caribbean household there are plenty of fruits, and meats, and cultural foods that you just cannot find everywhere, especially away from the Caribbean. So you can not imagine how happy I was when I saw the giant sign while dropping a cousin home. The parking lot is not much to look at, just a plain, but large parking lot with a lot of small stores of nothing special. The lot across from it has some unique Oriental themed pillars making it stand out drastically from its neighbor. But as I said Caribbean Supercenter is in a large parking lot, allowing ample parking no matter what time or how crowded it is. As I entered the store a feeling of exploration and joy kicked in. The smell of freshly cut coconuts, mangos, and spices mix in the air. Flyers to fetes, dancehalls, upcoming reggae and soca shows at local clubs stand proudly off to the side. I was able to find my coconut water, vitamalt, and they even have a butcher in the back for ox tail and goat meat, along with the usual chicken and beef. The prices there are better than many other spots for ox tail, and comparable to most Hispanic markets for the other items. Sadly the customer service is a bit lacking as you try to find items that are not right in front of you. There was also a fruit i was looking for and it took three employees to find another employee to say no they do not have guavaberry in stock. Also on certain days the butcher in the back can be crazily busy and unorganized as some people will have numbers while others will just stand there expecting to be served and then yell they've been there before others...Still its a good spot to find some things you might be looking for from the Caribbean. read more

In spite of the area this store is actually very clean and nice. West colonial is mostly a disaster area but I was quite surprised to find this huge clean supermarket. It's more like going to a regular grocery store than a mom and pop place. They have all kinds of unique island ingredients and a lunch counter with lots of rice dishes and jerk chicken type stuff. They also serve doubles which are a curried chick pea paste stuffed pita. I was looking for doubles($1.40) all over but this is the only place I found them so far. The doubles here weren't that great but since they were the only ones I could find anywhere I was happy. Low Prices and somewhat safe as they have a big burly security guard. read more

At the restaurant, great selection of food but if you want 1 beef patty you have to get a number and wait forever. This is by far the largest Caribbean supermarket on this side of town if not Orlando itself. They have everything under the sun from almost every Caribbean country in existence. This is located on Pine Hills Road right across from the large Oriental supermarket plaza. They feature in addition to the regular part of the supermarket a deli, Café, fresh seafood area, frozen foods, exotic plants, and even Caribbean/Asian natural remedy items and beauty products counter. This is usually my go to store for rare Caribbean/Indian items and/or groceries when I'm in Orlando. There's even a Western Union counter what are those who would like to send money remotely to family, etc. It's always fun looking at all the rare and exotic products they have offered here. I like to go in each and everyone of their aisles to check out what they have. Size-wise, I see this specific supermarket as being comparable to a large format Publix supermarket. Though the surrounding neighborhood appears questionable to some people, don't be afraid. It's worth visiting. read more

When I first started coming to Orlando I discovered this store. You can get all things Caribbean including some great cooked food. I have made my way to this mark many times after I finally moved to Orlando. My husband especially loves the variety of spices needed to make his Sri Lankan food. Not being from the Caribbean I did see some meat and seafood that I've never seen before. It was a real experience. Now that we are settled here, I have found other Caribbean grocery stores I can go to, that are closer to my area.
