I was with dad most of the time during his stay as my job allowed me to work remote. I met everyone from the team at various times in the day, and they were always pleasant. I watched them help clean dad up daily, and the way they talked to him showed they cared for him as a person too. Dad went quicker than anyone thought and I was there with him *(no time to alert anyone, he just slipped away). I would definitely use this company again because of the people they hire. They prioritize billing over patient care and hiring adequate staff. Patients have been left for hours with no nursing visits nor even phone call. Nurses and STNAs are overworked and spread far too thin. Management is increasingly​ inadequate evidenced by a surprising lack of compassion and concern. Training for multiple roles does not prepare staff for the tasks they are hired for. It is a toxic work environment lacking space for constructive criticism, ideas for improvement ​are thrown to the wayside.

The main one that's coming are is so pushy we say no she asks over and over almost started to do her thing anyway against our wishes. Seems very upset my dad's not dead yet like he's a bother he's only in pain here and there not much and he doesn't want to be hopped up on pills all the time. But she has the nerve to say just give him the pills every 4 hrs so he just lays there and sleeps all the time even if he's not in pain . Wow. So he can lay there and hurry up and die!!!!!???? He's going slowly but at least he's still talking being funny as he always had been. I don't take medicine if I'm not in pain why would he? My sister had dementia and was living in an assisted living facility. Southern care Hospice came in…read moreduring the last year and half of her life to provide assistance and care. At the beginning of their time with Helen, I would get an update call every two weeks to let me know how she was doing even if I had been there to see her that day. Toward the end, there were daily visits and daily updates unless I happened to visit at the very same time. Then the update was done in person. Beyond the visits by the nurses, Helen was also visited by the Southern Care Chaplin which she also enjoyed. The conversation and attention was important to her--and to me. Their caring concern and helpfulness of losing a loved one very slowly via dementia eased many of my concerns, and they always answered my questions. I cannot thank them enough both for my sister and for myself. An excellent, caring organization that I would recommend to anyone.

The warmth you feel from the decor and the people is tangible. I was also surprised at how great the food is and the variety of menu choices available to the residents at every meal. The Director, Nan Gammill, puts her personal touch on everything and caring for and being kind to the people there seems to be her mission in life. There was a kindness and compassion from the staff to the residents that set it apart from other assisted living communities I have visited. The activities that are available, the theater, the billiards, the quiet areas with water features. I am not ready for assisted living but I wanted to sign up to be honest.

My father was recently a patient here and spent his final days in peace and comfort, thanks to the…read morehard-working and compassionate staff at Holy Family. The nursing staff was responsive to his every need and checked on him frequently. The pastoral care he received was equally wonderful. Sister Margaret Mary, in particular, was so warm and loving toward him, and I was touched by her kindness. I'm sure she brought him much comfort! In addition, I was pleasantly surprised by how the staff took such good care of my family and I while we kept vigil in my dad's room. Between my brother, my mom and myself, we never left his side on the weekend he passed. The staff saw to it that I had a pillow and blanket to keep me comfortable while I slept there overnight, and they also brought me a phone charger when I needed it. One day, a staff member cooked my mom a grilled cheese sandwich just for her, because she knew she needed to eat. They promised us they would do anything they could for us, and they certainly did! When my dad passed away, we were all given a hug by our wonderful nurse, and given reassurance that he was no longer in pain. I could tell that one of the other nurses present was fighting back tears, which touched me, as well, knowing that I was not alone in my grief. I really just can't say enough good things about the wonderful people working there who make it their mission to provide comfort and care to their patients and their families. And the facility, itself, is beautiful, clean, and well-maintained. Nobody wants to have to bring their loved one to a hospice, but if you should find yourself looking for a facility to provide palliative care for your family member, you really couldn't ask for a place better than Holy Family.

After two referrals from a doctor's office and six messages left with them, still no return phone…read morecall! We currently use them for some therapy. Our doctors office sent two referrals regarding palliative care. My wife left three messages to get information and scheduled and I also left three messages to get scheduled. After weeks, we finally contacted the doctors office to let them know, we had to find someone else because patriot will not call us back. The doctors office contacted them again and they were informed they no longer offer for palliative care. Why couldn't they take one minute to return our phone call to let us know? They are working with vulnerable people who need help and they don't have the courtesy to call back.

I had a knee replaced and after 2 weeks of in home therapy with Patriot I was back to 100% knee…read moremovement. Now I just have to do outpatient therapy to strengthen my knee with physical equipment. Their team of nurses & therapists are very professional, encouraging, conscientious, compassionate, and always on time. They were also very flexible about my time schedule, as mornings were next to impossible for me. They would call to check up on me and make sure that I was doing okay, as well as having a 24 hour phone access if I ever had any problems. I can't say enough about Randy Williams, who was my therapist the entire time. Not having a different therapist each visit made a huge difference. He was so encouraging and patient while pushing me to improve and reach my goal, but also making sure that I wasn't in pain while doing so. He never left my home until I had an ice pack on my knee to reduce swelling. I was sad to see him leave when his job was done. Thank you Patriot for making a very daunting time in my life bearable. I wish I could give you more than 5*, your team deserves it.
