They provided incredible support by hiring our own family members to care for her, alongside their own fantastic team when we needed extra hours covered. Arisol was a true blessing to work with. She called me every single week to make sure we had the coverage we needed, and she always stepped in to help the moment she sensed I was feeling overwhelmed. Even when life changed (like when my son joined the Army) Synergy adapted right away by hiring another family member and supplementing with their own staff. They treated my mom like family, showing her the utmost respect and tenderness. I cannot recommend them enough. Thank you, Synergy, for bringing peace of mind to our family and significantly improving my mom's quality of life during her final months and Arisol, keep up the good work thank you for keeping me calm in my storm.

They come in the morning 7 days a week for two hours and twice a day on the weekends for a total of 4 hours. I love to hear him giggle and talk about how much he loves when they come see him. I wish I had known about their services sooner. But we were hesitant to bring anyone in. Luckily my dad is a very social guy and easy to get along with...Bertha and Michelle are his main morning people and they are the BEST!

Making the decision to stop cancer treatments and transition my mom to hospice care for her small…read morecell lung cancer was incredibly difficult. Finding the right care was just as hard; we actually went through two different hospice companies before we finally found Compassus. I am so incredibly thankful we did. My mom passed away on May 12th. Before Compassus stepped in, she was in agonizing pain (an 8 to 10 out of 10), and her quality of life was miserable. Dr. Vega came directly to our house to meet her face-to-face. He promised he would bring her pain down to at least a 3--explaining honestly that while he might not be able to eliminate it completely, he would make it bearable. He kept his promise and did what no other doctor at the previous hospice centers could do. In fact, a few days before she stopped talking, my mom told us she was feeling no pain at all. Dr. Vega truly took her pain from a 10 to a 0. Every single staff member at Compassus was respectful, kind, and a genuine joy to speak with. They don't just support you while your loved one is passing; they are still here for us now with grief support groups and follow-up calls to check on our well-being. If you are looking for hospice care for a family member, I highly recommend Compassus. Thank you, Compassus, for making my mom's last days comfortable, and thank you, Dr. Vega, for giving her a peaceful, pain-free end. Our family cannot thank you enough.

Physical therapists would cancel appointments at the last minute, and the staff would not notify us. We were not given the nurse we requested, from an earlier family member's care, and instead given one who seemed superficial and was not good at recognizing serious health problems. Our loved one was much more seriously ill than first identified by the cancer doctor, and the nurse did not communicate to the doctor the quickly deteriorating condition. She gave our loved one the impression she just needed to try harder to beat this diagnosed stage 4 cancer instead of giving us ways to make her more comfortable. Thus, instead of recommending the hospice care she should have had, our loved one's needs were not identified, even though she died three months after beginning care and had uncontrollable pain for much of this time. We received substandard, intermittent care. On the weekly visits, we were given long exhausting lectures on the benefits of good nutrition instead of diagnostic care or ways to make the last few months she ended up having more comfortable. Toward the end, we wanted a change, but it was too late to switch companies by then.
