They went out of our way and went above and beyond what we ever could have expected. I had asked them to leave off the toe kick heater in the kitchen to bring the cost down $400, which allowed me to get the loan approval. They ended up installing a small section of baseboards anyway for no extra cost because he told my dad he didn't feel right leaving me with nothing in the kitchen. On their website their tagline is "Quality Means Doing it Right When No One is Looking!" They definitely exemplified this through their work and the decisions they made while completing my upgrade. I am not an HVAC expert by any means, so I was honest with Mike telling him I know enough to know what I don't know. Error code on units showing no refridgerant, which means probanly a leak. Called that Monday for appt. Was told they are not on island t il Thursday, so took appt then between 10 and 12 arrival " but they will be there closer to 10" per customer service person. 1 pm to 2:30 pm multiple texts and phone calls to the owner and his CSR. No response from.owner and.CSR was in a meeting At 2:45 got a text they qere not coming today and woukd try agin early next week to get back on island. Temps were n in low 40s at night, 50s daily and i had no heat. Called Climate Care MV. Set up appt for 2 days later, but a guy frred up and was there at 7pm Ran tests, put in a dye came back 6 days later and detected the "Massive leak" in one of bedrroms. Called Senville, found out F&J had tegistered the unit with correct address and email but had someone elses name and phone.number, so we had to correct the registration Shipped unit in 2 days. Climate care installed, recharged, pressure tested and all was good to go with time to spare before 1st renters arrive. Will use Clmate Care moving forward as they are very reliable , thorough and on island. I woukd think twice about using a company for mini splits or any unit that may need routine servicing or emergency servicing that is based off island. Find an onnisland vendor. Sorry F&J but here we are 4 weeks later, no text email or phone call to apologize for completely failing a now former customer ​​

When he started the project, he left the place messy and I had to clean up after him. All the equipment was all over the place, as you can see in the pictures. I had to collect them and clean everything after he left. These pictures were sent to him at the time. He was extremely aggressive, asking to collect the remaining balance even though the project was not completed. While our spa was under construction, he was overly insistent in wanting to install the unit system even when the contractor advised him to wait. We asked him to wait until the project was completed entirely because we wanted to protect the HVAC units from the debris of the construction. In the end, we let him install the units while the construction was still happening because his behavior was inappropriate, and we just paid him to let him go. We've been having issues with one of the units since May. It had been making noise, and we called him in order to let him know that one of the units wasn't working properly. He said he would stop by to take a look, but never did until June 14th. He picked up the pump and said he would get back to me within 24 hours because the pump wasn't working. I have been calling him since, but he never picked up his phone or called back. At this time, the weather is extremely hot, and our products and guests are both being negatively impacted by the heat. Overall, my experience has been negative.

It was a freezing cold day and we were in danger of the pipes freezing. I started calling around different company's and they were able to have someone out to the building in 3 hours. That was it. Customer for life here. The girls in the office are so nice and helpful. Steve has been out a few times and he explains everything to me so I know exactly what home is fixing. This week I had a problem with one unit not having heat. I called and was told no problem, we will be there by 3. This was about 11 am, well Jeremy was there before 2. Fixed us up and was gone in no time. He has done several repairs for us over the years, and does our yearly boiler cleaning. We had some masonry work done in the boiler room over the summer. After Jeremy cleaned the boiler in September he swept and cleaned up the mess the masonry guy left behind. I could not believe it. I hadn't cleaned it because, well it's a boiler room, who cares. We were confident in his abilities based on how well he listened to our concerns and was able to help in a pinch. He was personable and engaging. We felt his estimate was fair and honest. He helped walk us through the RISE process for Weatherizing our home, and was super patient as we dealt with a lengthy delay in processing the 0% financing loan - which in the end, was the most frustrating part of it. But, surprise, surprise, that's a RISE problem - not an RE Coogan problem! Coogan's dedicated team of professionals were efficient, prompt and neat throughout the installation of our new unit. Most either weren't familiar with my boiler or couldn't schedule a service call for days. When I called Rob, the owner of R. E. Coogan Heating Inc., he explained that they were busy but promised to stop by that evening to see what he could do. Rob arrived around 7 PM and spent over an hour troubleshooting the problem. Although he couldn't get the boiler running that night, he assured me he would contact the manufacturer the next day and continue looking for a solution. True to his word, he called me the following day with recommendations from the manufacturer and returned that evening to try them. It was clear that he was doing everything possible to repair the boiler and save us the expense of a replacement. Unfortunately, the boiler could not be repaired because the required parts were no longer available from the manufacturer. After exhausting every reasonable option to restore it, Rob helped us move forward with a replacement as quickly as possible. After four days without hot water, I expected we would have to wait at least another week for a new installation. Rob initially estimated that the work could begin Friday and be completed by Monday. However, he called on Wednesday to let me know he had rearranged his schedule and hoped to start earlier. At 3 PM on Thursday, Rob arrived with Henry and Nick to begin removing the old boiler. He then brought in additional crew members the next day and worked hard to complete the installation as quickly as possible. As promised, our new boiler was installed and our hot water was restored by Friday evening. What impressed me most was Rob's commitment to helping us. He went out of his way to accommodate our family, worked tirelessly to find the most cost-effective solution, and followed through on every promise he made.
