    Smear on inside of glass

The rolls were ice cold. Dinner was supposed to be over at 8:30 which is when we got our entrees. Glasses were never taken off table. The bar ran OUT OF GLASSES and they wanted you to bring your old glass back to be reused. I was going to take an unused water from our table but I noticed a smear which was on the inside of the glass. Gross. I have never been at an event where glassware wasn't removed from the table or having someone bring a carafe around to fill water glasses. The food was okay ( one person at the table said her dessert 'wasn't terrible' )but the service (outside of bartenders) was subpar. Oh and the person at the table with a nut allergy got walnuts on her salad when her place card had allergy on it. That is inexcusable and is totally on management and they way dinner service is run. This was a Holiday Party that they spend a lot of money on every year and it was disappointing.

Go for golf and stay a couple days! Just tell the wife you're out of town on business. I met up here with a couple of friends for a round. I wasn't sure if I was golfing, going to a banquet, or attending a meeting. This place is laid out extremely well. The pro shop is hidden just off the corner, follow the signs. The course played fairly easy(depending on your skill level). I am not a golfer, I just love to golf when I get a chance. There's a few water holes(lot) to avoid getting your balls wet. Great course for the area. I see this as a nice place to have a conference and golf outing for workers to team build. It's all in one location. People can come from out-of-town to enjoy as well. This looks like it could be a good location for a wedding reception as well(one more child to go). The golf is worth the admission. The scenery is prettty good too. Note to self: Leave clubs in car just in case my buddys call again.

Attended a work conference, great venue and food served. The grounds are beautiful and the history of the place is quite unique.

Tracy and Todd and the rest of the staff at the Meeting House made the entire experience so incredibly enjoyable. From the first meeting to the final exit Tracy and Todd were - friendly, respectful, helpful, attentive, responsive and incredibly kind to say the least. They fielded phone calls, emails and many may questions from myself, and parents of the bride and groom. The food was incredible, the service was outstanding the venue was beautiful. It exceeded every expectation and with much help from the entire staff at the Meeting House my wedding was as cliche as it sounds. The best day of our lives! The space was incredibly large and laid out in a very cool way, the high ceilings and wood floods with grand piano and fire place made it such cozy, beautiful venue for our wedding day! I would recommend the Meeting House to anyone looking for a venue in the metro Detroit area. - Happy Bride! :-)

Meh. We went for my…read morehusbands holiday party. It was just not glam. A rickety tiny elevator ride up with tacky sheets as decor. It about summed up the experience. Luckily decor was much better when we reached our party room destination. Travelling apps were not terribly impressive but still tastyish. The bacon wrapped chicken on a skewer was ginormous. Awkward to eat. Tasted the best of the three though. The crabcakes were miniscule and mostly breading. My husband seemed unimpressed with the shrimp. The salads were simply dressed with no option but with what I guess could be called vinaigrette if I were being generous. The rolls were very grainy and not my thing. My salmon would have been terrific if it had been fresh. It was a huge portion but cold and the sauce had congealed. I liked the roasted potatoes and the veggies but again, cold. My husbands sliced steak concoction was at least warm and it was super tender. It was also well beyond a generous portion. He disliked the sauce though. The bar staff did well. We avoided the pitchers of flat beer and bad merlot, which helped. The mixed drinks were stellar. My Tito's and soda with a wee splash of cran and a lime were perfect. My husbands tequila and pineapple was also delish. Dessert was as good as the alcohol. Fantastic apple spice cake with cream cheese and caramel and a creamy chocolate pie. Yum. It was just typical wedding to me. I would never choose it myself.

This is our favorite hotel when visiting family in the area. It is a sprawling resort, as the name…read moreimplies, and there are plenty of hallways, wings, and cultivated grounds to explore. Its an ideal destination for an extended stay. As a former seminary built in the 1940's, the architectural flourishes are second to none. Design aficionados will be in aesthetic heaven. There are three restaurants on site - an Irish Pub, a wine Bar, and a Steakhouse with a bar and breakfast service. The wine bar is definitely worth a visit, whereas I recommend the other two options primarily for their convenience. Service is exceptional and the beds are firm but very comfortable, nonetheless. The in-room TV supports casting TV & movie apps - Netflix, Hulu, etc. - but not music apps, for some reason. Fortunately we brought a WiFi speaker. A few notes on accessibility follow. For context, I can walk with crutches but need to use a wheelchair for long distances. And this hotel is all about long distances. We had an accessible king room, and while the lanes for navigating a wheelchair around the bed are tight, they are manageable. The bed is super comfortable but also very TALL. It could be tricky to transfer to the bed from a wheelchair without assistance of crutches. There is plenty of space in the bathroom and the roll in-shower has a good set up with an accessible shelf for shampoo, etc. Be careful with the bathroom door - it is a very heavy sliding door with a strange locking mechanism. The public spaces in the hotel, including the restrooms, are generally modern and accessible. I also noticed that the pool has a swing chair for water access. One exception is the Irish Pub, which treated accessibility as an afterthought when it was designed. There is no wheelchair access within the hotel - you'll want to drive around to the back to use its parking lot. Additionally, to get to the restroom or the second floor of the pub you'll need to use one of smallest prefab dumb waiters I've ever been in. Finally, be advised that the entrance to the hotel is at the top of a steep hill, and the porte-cochère landing itself is at a slant. Be agile with your brakes, and let your companion park the car after you've exited if you can. Also note that there are only 4 designated accessible parking spaces. We've seen them all full on multiple occasions; for a parking lot of its size, the hotel should probably add about 4 more.

I highly suggest if you're a golf enthusiast or you're just looking for a place for a tranquil getaway this is an amazing location now although I didn't get a chance to stay in the room, some of the outdoor sitting areas were so relaxing.
