Carla and Linda's food tour was a blast and full of historical facts and local eateries in Oceanside. A variety of cuisines and they were able to accommodate a bunch of random dietary restrictions amoung a group of 20! I would definitely do this again.

Professional & Accommodating!!! Walking Food Tour was Pire Awesome Sauce!! Thank you Linda!!!. Food selections were amazing and since we were celebrating a birthday everyone was super kind. So much great food and so many sights to see in this historic and angelic town. Such a chill vibe here and to have a foodie experience such as Linda provided....we were OVERJOYED!!! XOXO

Deelish pulled pork tacos, awesome history of this hotel, cool rooftop lounge with an incredible view

Was able to tour North Oside with Carla and Linda and a few friends. Everything was well-planned out, the food was deeelish (even accommodated for gluten free yeah!) and learning some history about the area was fun! Planning to do another tour soon!! Yes, sign up; you'll love it!

Words cannot express the fun we had yesterday. It was truly an adventure filled with love and passion by Linda and Carla. Our group was 13, which was big, however, it felt small and intimate. The restaurants we visited were locally owned and we got to meet the owners and chefs! How fun! Our taste buds were tickled by outstanding treats from each of the 5 restaurants. HIGHLY recommended! We were so full when we were done and the people on our tour were so fun! DO THIS!! Banana Dang Banana oat milk latte Ryes and Grind Corned beef Ruben Flying pig Panko crusted durok pork chop with beet purée, pickled onions and Serrano and micro greens Orfila winery Flatbreads: mushroom, prosciutto, chicken pesto Allmine Butcher block pizza Verde pizza

Carla & Linda's Walking Tour or it's alter ego: shoesandchews really should be called Substance & Soul because you get lots of food for your body and fuel for your soul! Went on a 3-hour walking/food tour of Oceanside with these lovely ladies last week and we learned so much about this up and coming beachside town. We officially visited a total of four (4) different restaurants: Ofelia; Switchboard, Petite Madeline & Benitos (not in order!) and even had a nice little surprise/treat at Banana Dang. (Note that they have different tours and their tours change, so don't be surprise if you go to other sites-- the City is definitely growing and there's so much to do!) The food was delicious and portions were hearty! Appreciated the Chefs' intros to all their dishes and history behind the places-- Thank you owners/chefs for your hospitality! Don't want to spoil all the fun, but we also got to stop by some neat cultural/art hotspots around town and even saw an [extended] family of ducks climbing out of their nests-- it really was a clown car! BTW: The reviews are true- they do know everyone! :-) which is great because you know you're getting the real-deal with Carla & Linda. They do love their town, the people and want their guests to enjoy their visit too and they manage to do just that and more in just 3-hours! This truly was a all-encompassing tour with knowledgeable guides, good food and history. Can't wait to try their other ventures!

wonderful Hosts and lots of Great information! exploration of casual dining spots in s Oceanside And recommmendations for other places to visit.

It was from 12-4 and included lunch at one of the breweries. The tour bus picked us up ON TIME, at my buddy's house. The drivers name was "Kenny". He kind of reminds me of Larry the cable guy with a gray beard Hahaha. He was very laid back and a great people person. The bus was also very clean and had a great stereo system. We were able to plug in our phones, play our own music, full blast, no problemo. Our intentions was to visit 4 breweries in 4 hours but we were only able to make it to 3. We visited Iron Fire, Refuge and Black Market Brewing Company. The breweries are only about 5-10 minutes from each other and each one of our stops included 4 tasters. At our last stop Kenny had about 5 pizzas waiting for us. At this point I don't remember where the pizza was from, or whether it was good or not, I just remember scarfing down about three slices. We had a private group of 14 people (16 gets you a discount). Each one of us paid $90 ($76 w/ discount). Unfortunately my pregnant wife couldn't partake in the drinking part of the tour but still had to pay full price. Cash tips are also highly recommended at the end of the tour. Kenny our tour guide, does carry "Square" so your able to pay for your tour with plastic. If your thinking about booking this tour DO IT! I highly recommend it for you and your friends. If you have questions about my personal experience (from what I can remember) I'de be glad to answer. There are things I left out purposely lol.

Reached out to the company very very late, like 11pm on a weekday to try to get a pricing for a group, and within the hour, got a response back from Toby! Toby was sooo responsive and so helpful in his emails, not to mention down to earth so it was such an easy transaction to complete. For a group of 14 of us, it was $89 per person, that included tastings at 3 locations, beer on bus, and pizza at the end of it all! This is amazing pricing for a temecula tour. So day of, we were greeted right on time in Temecula, the bus was roomy even with 14 of us! There were 2 growlers and not only that, since it was for me and my twin's bday, they even brought 2 bottles of sparkling wine! Sooo sweet! Driving around was smooth, we drank, we laughed, we sang, we partied. Toby would go out first and get everything situated while we just drank on the bus and by the time he came back to get us, everything was ready at each location. You can choose where you would like to go as well, we did 2 wineries and 1 brewery, mix it up a bit! Toby came out and was a personal photographer for us all, which is what I always wanted! :P At the end of the tour, we ended up at Weins Brewery, there were tons of pizza to go around for everyone, and the beers were really good as well! Overall everyone was very pleased with the tour group and how well executed it was. Not only are they super friendly, they're actually efficient! I wouldn't recommend any other company except this one. You honestly can't go wrong with Temecula Brewery Tours. BOMBDOTCOM!!

The old school firetruck was a pretty sweet ride! There was plenty of beer and water inside for us to begin the journey. You could also hook up your phone to the sound system and play your own music. Nick brought us to three breweries (Ballast Point, St. Archer's, & Mission) and at each one he would give us a little insight on the history of each brewery. Once inside, he set us up with some drinks, and even showed us around Ballast Point. HotShots also provided lunch, which was very delicious! We had chicken wings, subs, pizzas, and fries. Nick was a pretty friendly guy, and a great guide! While at each brewery, he hungout with us and played cards. He even beat us in Pusoy Dos (Filipino card game) numerous times. Pretty sure he was just hustling us though... Overall HotShots was a great experience. We got to go to 3 different breweries, drink a lot, and not have to worry about how to get to the next brewery. I've lived here my entire life and have never been whale watching but have always wanted to,…read morehowever it's just not an experience I'd typically consider splashing out on for myself (**spoiler alert - my visit was less than two weeks ago and immediately after disembarking I told my husband I wanted to get on another tour stat!) For Christmas, my husband's aunt gifted tickets to our entire extended family to enjoy a whale watching tour together so we finally landed on a date and it was an awesome experience from start to finish. We arrived about 15 minutes early for our 9:30am boarding time, checked in at the kiosk and were given paper tickets to be handed over to the crew as we came aboard. Once onboard, we were introduced over the speaker to the captain and crew and given a quick rundown of the itinerary and safety procedures. We navigated through the harbor where we spotted our local sea lion neighbors basking in the sun which especially delighted the kids and the out-of-town/state passengers, sailed out of the harbor and into the open sea. It was a pleasantly calm morning with hardly any wind and very smooth sailing. The only slight downside was that it was a particularly gray morning, so there was little distinction between the color of the ocean versus the sky but it was very clear and we could see for a long distance. We got probably close to halfway through our two-hour tour without any sightings but once we were about 5 miles off the coast, we started hearing transmissions between the crew over their walkies so we knew to start keeping our eyes peeled. The next half hour or so was spent watching three beautiful fin whales take turns coming up for air, swimming under the boat, rolling playfully and showing their light-colored bellies. It was so fun to be able to move about the boat freely to try to get the best view, some photos and videos, while being filled in by the crew on interesting marine facts. Finally the whales took their deep dives, at which point we were informed they wouldn't be coming back up for air for a while and it was about time to head back. The cruise back was equally smooth as the adventure out, and we got in right on time and prepared to disembark but not before getting coupons for a future expedition and adorable fin whale stickers to commemorate our tour. I can't WAIT to go on another whale watching tour with Oceanside Adventures - it was the best time!! I would 100000% recommend.

What a great day for whale watching!…read more The crew is amazing! Ivy, Tekon, Saxon, Chris. Hope I got all the spelling right! I've been on this boat and it's not always a guarantee as nature is nature but today was perfect. Calm seas, thousands...yes thousands of dolphin and a dozen whales. Mostly humpback but we saw two finback as well. So rad. Can't wait until next time!
