Cute little farm. Took 3 yr old grandson in for pumpkin picking. Nice that they have a little patch to go to for free. Great looking pumpkins and a lot to chose from. Small petting zoo too. There is a lower field with various activities and a bigger field for an entrance price but we were fine with the little one. We came here the first weekend they started the fall festival and it wasn't very busy or crowded which was definitely nice. The pricing was slightly cheaper than other farms and I really think this place is underrated given the amount of activities, pumpkin variety and location. This isn't too far from north Seattle located in Lake Stevens and parking was ample. They even have a few farm animals (e.g. chickens and goats) where you can pay quarters to buy food to feed them. Food wise, we didn't get to try too much, we really wanted the roasted corn but they were understaffed that day and didn't want to wait for it. I got a corn dog and they also had burgers... menu had fries but they didn't have fries that day either. The highlights were the play area for the kids, giant bouncy pumpkin, the cow ride for kids and the hay ride. Best of all, we didn't have to wait in line. They also had several photo spots with gorgeous pumpkin decor set up. It probably would've felt more festive if there were more people but it was still a great time for our family. read more

My husband and I just had our wedding here and it was magical. Our friends and family loved the venue, and kept asking how we found it. We had just under 100 guests and there was plenty of room. The outside ceremony space is stunning and needs little to no decoration. The barn is a dream. When we first walked through the barn, as we were looking through venues, my husband and I were giddy. This place is extremely nice and affordable. Most importantly the owners are amazing! They were easy to work with, accommodating, friendly, family-oriented and more. Kelsey was quick to answer our calls and questions and made us feel comfortable. We got some great memories in that space and hope to be back to pick pumpkins every year and support this cute little farm. Free parking was organized by attendants. Pets are not allowed at this farm. Since we were on a limited time-frame, we were not able to explore all that Carleton had to offer. During our short visit I was interested in the farm store. The farm store offers a nice variety of Carleton salad dressings, pickles, pickled garlic, salsa, bottled wine, produce and fun yard art. Discover is accepted in the Farm Store. A food stand offering burgers, hot dogs, corn on the cob and donuts is available for those who are hungry. I'm a huge proponent for local farms, family fun activities and farm to table food. I look forward to returning to Carleton Farms when I have more time to explore everything there is to be offered. read more

They will charge full price even if some activities are closed for the season or for the day, but not give a heads up that this is the case upon entering and paying. New owners bought the farm right as the Covid shutdown happened, likely losing business due to lack of weddings, etc. I feel for their unfortunate circumstances. With that being said, some feedback from a paying customer: The woman behind the counter in the market store (who was NOT wearing a mask) was very flustered while explaining to the customer in front of me what the pumpkin patch/activity prices were as there was NO clear signage available to customers with clear pricing. The woman was juggling her children who were grabbing snacks, etc. When it was my turn next, I also wanted to know what we were paying for, wanted to make sure that I bought enough tickets for my kids. I figured it would be different than last year due to Covid restrictions, reasonable questions. She said to my group everyone listen so she doesn't have to repeat herself, which I found incredibly rude. Isn't that your job? I suggested making clear signs for people and was told that there was signs and that the info was on the website, she was clearly offended as she asked for me to be patient! I told her I was, just trying to be clear. In addition, I WAS wearing a mandated mask so my voice was muffled, AND i was trying to keep an eye on my kids, etc. After trying to figure out where, one laminated paper sized sign on a sandwich board at the top of the hill before the activities is NOT clear for anyone. Nor is ADA sufficient. (Since being home I looked at the website, also NOT CLEAR) If it weren't for the fact that I was with my family, I would have left after the woman behind the counter was rude to the guest in front of me. The website says to park in lot B, which was CLOSED and roped off. So another confusing aspect for customers. When we got to the activities there was one person working! Which is understandable due to lack of funds, etc although who were we supposed to give our tickets too? Hmm...The kids had fun in the Korral and on the little train ride. The corn maze was fun and the farm itself is beautiful. I cannot say that it was worth what we spent although I am happy to have helped support a local business. I am hopeful that the new owners read this so they can get a better understanding of customer perspective so they can make improvements. I know that life is hard right now. For everyone. IF you would like to give this place a try and support a local farmer, go for it! We visit this farm every year, and sadly this will be our last. I wish them the best. One of my favorite things about the approach of Halloween are corn mazes and pumpkin patches. I'm so thankful I have kids to drag along with me to these things! We didn't explore the pumpkin patch here as we had already hunted and found our perfect pumpkins elsewhere. We did however tackle the corn maze. So fun! Three games in one maze. Seahawk trivia, a clue style who-dunnit game and a young kids version. My family had so much fun finding the clues and making guesses about who had farmer joe that we didn't notice how lost we got. One thing though. Spoilers are no fun for anyone and they were abundant. I get it. Kids get excited when they figure out but perhaps mom and dad or even better corn maze staff could remind them that not everyone has figured it out yet? I swear I had to cover my ears when some tween wanted to tell me who did it. Yes, I did say LaLaLa really loudly while he blabbed on and on. Sigh. But aside from that, we all had such a good time that even *that* guy couldn't spoil it. read more

Great pumpkin patch with activities for the whole family to enjoy together. I've been here twice during the fall. Both times, they were busy but parking attendants made it easy to find parking and it's free. You walk out into the pumpkin patch or take a free hayride down to the pumpkins to pick out your shiny squash. Or, you can be lazy and mosey over to the large selection of harvested pumpkins in a variety of colors besides orange and different sizes, along with gourds and squash galore, located in bins by the store. They have scrubbing areas to get the mud and junk off your pumpkin if you pick it fresh out of the patch. The main event for me is the pumpkin cannon. Pay $1-$3, based on the size of pumpkin you pick out, stick it in the cannon, and watch it get shot out over the farm then smash to bits if it doesn't explode in midair. They have a corn maze. I haven't been through it yet, but it looks really fun. I plan on going through this year. There's a section to see the farm animals, a general store with produce, honey, and locally grown items, and a snack stand with hot dogs and the like. The picnic area is covered and has several picnic tables and benches. There are various locations set up around the farm for photos such as wooden stands that you stick your head through, next to mannequins and farm scenes, and in front of murals. Liked the Halloween Festival!!! Surprised me that they are super organized. You have to make a line even when you purchased tickets online so you can recall it. The lake event does not started sharply but the gotcha part did. The mazes are huuuge and very fun!! You 2ill get scared! Just bring your best attitud! I just wished there would be more zombies at the zombie maze. You can also shoot pumpkins during the day or better idea: purchase them and decor your house or cook something as we did :D I think prices are correct for what you receive. read more

We had a great time feeding the goats (bring quarters), shooting paint ball guns and blasting apples at targets. The corn maze was cool too and while the hay ride doesn't have hay, it is nice to see the river/slough and pick out a pumpkin. Big zip line was closed but little kids loved the small zip line. As a wedding venue, this is a barn with a very nice patio and gazebo. Most of the issues with this place are the people (Laura and owner Darren) and their pattern of doing nothing or as little as possible to fix issues and follow-up. Their website says it was built in 2014 so their inexperience and poor planning should not have been a surprise - but... If this venue is your last resort, here is what you should know... - there will be burned out bulbs and even a few light strings that don't work at all. You will ask - multiple times - to replace them but you will be ignored and the claimed "elegance" will just look cheap and tacky on your very special day. - the "kitchen" is nothing more than 2 carport tents from Costco. When it rains, the water pools in the tarp roof until puddles of smelly green water cascades down. And because they are positioned near the barn doors, you'll "get to" mop up the slop from the floor inside too. Laura and Darren won't attempt to drain the rooftop swamp before your day - so don't let grandma stand in the splash zone. - bathrooms are "real" but are an uphill climb through an idiotic maze of poorly placed fencing, the kitchen tent poles and in a separate building 150' away from the barn. We had two guests in wheelchairs and they had no chance of getting up the steep grade - never mind coming down it. You will need to constantly sweep the gravel from the walkway to and from the bathroom. - "the walkthrough" is not "the actual walkthrough" since Laura and Darren may notice something sometime and change their minds about what to deduct from your deposit. If you're smart, get Laura to sign off your on the first walk through - and change your contract to get the deposit back the first business day after the event. This will help Laura and Darren to do their walkthrough-job the first time - and not hold you or your deposit hostage while they take their sweet time to do whatever, whenever. - If you have any plans for any animal as part of your day, forget it. There is a strict "no pets" policy, no exceptions. But the bellering of their goats is just fine and the waft of goat, horse and llama stink are at no extra charge. - If it rains, trim your guest list to 100. There is no way the website's occupancy of 150-180 people can do anything more than sit. Adding any food service area, bar or dance area - forget it. Our wedding planner had to rearrange the tables so guests had at least one walkway to get to and from their seats - without disrupting seated guests. - the other issues are with the venue itself and are simply a matter of poor design. The bride and groom rooms are clearly an afterthought and are nothing more than an oversized closet for each. More poorly placed fencing and barricades makes unloading and loading anything a maze of extra effort and more gravel. The contract requires all liquids to go down the sink - the one and only sink that is through the tent pole maze. The only entrance is the only entrance for the wedding party - which is also the only entrance for the wedding guests which is also the only entrance for all of the handicap parking. Any sort of food prep area is nonexistent. There is cheap and there is inexpensive... this place is just cheap. Good luck with your event. read more

Our family has visited this farm for 10 years and I really don't think we will be coming back. I brought my grandson here to celebrate his 1st birthday, which fell on a Monday so I figured it wouldn't be crowded and we could enjoy the farm safely (it wasn't crowded) we enjoyed being there with each other but did not enjoy the outrageously high prices. We were told just to go down to the patch was going to cost $5 and that we needed a ticket for everything except the play area. The tractor has always been free but nope, not anymore, you need a ticket, They had some new games but things weren't being wiped down in between usage. I'm glad we went on a Monday and brought our own sanitizer. I noticed there were more decorations around and cute areas for photo opportunities but I actually liked this farm better when you could come buy a pumpkin and a shop in the market for pumpkin butter and then grab a hot dog on the way out. read more

The corn maze is very fun-- We got lost for hours! The pumpkin patch is filled with a good amount of pumpkins to chose from. The snack bar is awesome! Must get an apple cider slushy! And people were so friendly! Downside was that there were a ton of bee's all over the place the day we went and I wish they had more options in pumpkin types and produce! Keep in mind this is ONLY a review of the haunted corn maze via Groupon deal we bought for October 8th. With over 1,100 deals sold we were expecting lines but a 2 hour wait...I never could have imagined! We arrived at 8pm and finally reached the maze around 10pm. I honestly thought I would be scared since there was so much hype around everything and also because I am an easy scare but nope, not a chance! It also only lasted 10 minutes which was probably the biggest disappointment. Another downer was the fact that people who had purchased the Groupons weren't let in first...we had to wait in the same line as the others who hadn't yet purchased their tickets. I had figured the people with Groupon tickets would go first but maybe that was just naïve of me to think that way. Also, they had two people...only TWO helping over 1500 people throughout the 4 hour period the house was open. Not cool but such as life. We will know if ever in this situation again. Last year we went and enjoyed an afternoon at their pumpkin patch and it was a VERY enjoyable experience. Between the hay rides, petting zoo for the little ones & food & snack offerings everyone was super friendly, helpful and it was a great day spent with the family. I would HIGHLY recommend that portion of their farm. read more

We had a great time visiting the pumpkin patch last year, but things have definitely gone downhill lately. I understand the COVID struggle, but this seemed to be the least of the problems. When we purchased tickets, the concept was a little confusing as to what you would need tickets for and how that would apply to certain activities. You don't need tickets or admission to go to the pumpkin patch for example, but you do need a ticket for each person to go through the corn maze. Standing in line did not feel very safe. People were not social distancing and masks wearing was not being enforced despite signs posted. Whole families were wandering around without masks on, and I didn't see any signs of disinfecting the attractions in between uses although there were hand sanitizer stations around the farm. Before entering the corn maze, we were told its "less of a maze and more of a path" by the woman manning the entrance. We found it to be plenty entertaining with great photo ops and some tricky dead-ends, but be aware it's not like a traditional maze. There were issues with some of the other attractions; When we tried to use the paintball tent, they were out of paintballs and the apple/pumpkin gun ran out of pressure and had to be shut down while waiting in line. The large zipline is out of commission due to COVID concerns. The best parts were the animals, which the kiddos in our group enjoyed, and the doughnuts sold at the market which are worth a quick trip alone. read more

They have no signs or helpful people working here. I show up with my daughter and we start going to the pumpkin patch and we are told that we can't go down without a wristband band. We tell them we just want to go to pumpkin patch and online it says you don't need one. We wernt told about any other pumpkin patch there or where the free one is just simply you need a wristband for the pumpkin patch. I call them when we get home to check again about the wristband rule. I've been going to Carleton Farms for pumpkins as long as I can remember. I've lived in Marysville for 35 years. Slowly, but now more quickly lately, they have transformed this place from a great place to buy pumpkins and local produce to a place you walk away holding your jaw at the ridiculous prices. They have a corn maze, a kids play area, a zip line and a small train ride. The cost? For a family of 4 to have a trip through the maze and the kids play area.... $55.00. This price doesn't include the zip line or the kids train or any pumpkins. Those are additional, with "A" trip on the zip line running $6 each. We bought 6 pumpkins. 1 the size of a basketball and 2 the size of a soccer ball, 3 smaller. Total for those 6? $36.00. You throw in a coffee or two for the adults and a hot chocolate for the kids and you're well over $100 for a couple of hours at the pumpkin patch. Wow. This will be the last year we go to Carleton's, what a shame. read more

I would give the farm 4 stars and the events management 2 stars so averaging it out at 3. I have come here with my kids for the last 5 years and held my son's birthday parties here. I could go into a lot of details but not sure if they will be helpful so I would just say that the parties end up being not that affordable because there is serious nickle and diming going on. The event staff is very variable but mostly rude, we got yelled at for asking to use electricity to warm up some hot cocoa for the kids one year (when we had paid to rent the facility...we were told electricity wasn't part of the deal and we had to buy hot drinks separately if we wanted hot drinks!!) Just generally not big on hospitality which I think would be fine if it were a cheaper venue but for the price I would expect more professionalism. The pumpkin cannon is fun and the farm tends to not be as overcrowded as some pumpkin patches. Some of the farm hand helper people are really sweet and nice. read more

Every year I am search for the best farm for all my pumpkin needs and this place is it! Not only was all of their pumpkins big, round, and beautiful but there was so much more! From corn mazes to hay rides, haunted attractions to zip lines, and a pumpkin cannon, this place is a great way to spend an October day. A great place to go for a relaxing Sunday with the family. There are farm animals, hayrides, a huge pumpkin patch, a pumpkin cannon, corn maze, and produce store. The corn maze here has a fun facts that make up a mystery phrase. This makes it fun while in the maze cause you are finding clues. I recommend wearing shoes that you can get muddy. The produce from the farm is amazing. I recommend the apple cider and the wines! They also have really yummy corn! This is such a great place to visit to get you feeling in the holiday mood. We were about 20 minutes away & never knew this farm existed until we just entered it in our GPS. Staff was nice and we felt a little lost going in, which kind help keep an "adventure" feel. We did the corn maze and that was fun, even though my four year old kept saying we were never getting our of there alive. The kid corral is worth it. Super fun and there's a mini zip line for the young ones. No harness, just sit and hold on, so you gotta keep an eye on them. The kidz farm was crazy with kids getting in all the corn pit and hay pit. The pumpkin cannon ball was excellent. $3.00 and worth it when you can pick the pumpkin and push the lever. We also went crazy on the pumpkin donuts. Fresh hot, and so yummy. Great experience for the kids and I. Lots of photo op. When the kids get older we plan to do the zombie swamp.
