Sunflower festival and u-pick blueberries with an 18 month old! We purchase 2 adult sunflower admissions tickets and one butterfly release ticket and it totaled around $50. The sunflower area was really cute, we chose not to take any flowers home with us but we enjoyed all of the photo props and areas. They had face painting vendor but we didn't try it out. We enjoyed the butterfly release! My son really loved seeing the butterflies! This was a ticket we bought separately from admission but we thought it was fun. You can also just watch the butterflies without buying a ticket. For the price i thought it was kind expensive for what was available but all in all, I don't mind supporting the farm. It's very laid back and more bare bones than other farms we've been to. U-pick blueberry is free admission and so is the area where you can get blueberry lemonade and ice cream. They have a store with some of their goods like blueberry syrup and jam. They don't sell already picked blueberries so you have to make sure to bring your blueberry picking energy. Large, clean, organized pick venue that will leave you wishing for a frosty bag of Kirkland Organic Blueberries from Costco. For much less. At Costco, Organic is $3.19 already picked and frozen. Wild blueberries frozen are $1.98 at Costco. We paid $45 for 3 coffee cans of berries and we had to get them ourselves. We were also strongly admonished against 'snacking'. "Tasting is okay, but not snacking" the girl at the entrance said, standing next to a long list of rules. Our take: save your precious time and money, buy organic and just go to Costco. I had a blast picking blueberries here! Visited for the first time and had a great experience. Ample parking close to the fields- I came with my baby in a stroller so this was very nice :) they provide buckets and have plenty of staff around to direct you and answer any questions you may have. They had concord and Blue Ray varieties open for picking as well as some of their heirloom ones. Thanks to Heather who showed me some of the heirloom varieties! Picking was a breeze! I went on a weekday when it wasn't super busy and it was easy to bring the stroller down the aisles without being in people's way. Tip is to walk deep into the aisles and bypass the picked-through end bushes. They're also open for their Sunflower festival summer weekends! They have a little store at check out where you can buy local goods and fun stuff. I also saw a Build-a-bear type mini store (closed when I went) as well as a playground. So many blueberries for the picking! I came here for the first time on Saturday afternoon and left with about 3lbs of blueberries. I picked the early blues, they're sweet and a good size. The staff were super friendly and help you with any questions you have. This is a great location and a fun family friendly activity. They have porta-johns on site for restrooms and some hand washing stations. There's also a nice gift shop tent area where you can purchase jars of jams, honey, salad dressings, and all sorts of gifts. We've done U-pick for a few years now. They've changed their hours since the last two years - being open Wed thru Sun. Free parking. Free admission. You pay per pound you pick. (Note there is a minimum...I want to say it's 2lbs?) There are different size buckets you can choose from to store the berries you pick. I typically aim for the 4 pound bucket. Stopped by to experience the butterfly release event assuming the cost was $10 per person, when it actually costs $25 person. That would've been $75 for 2 adults and 1 child. Yikes! The cost included a release of 100's of butterflies at once and the opportunity to explore the many sunflowers and photo props. Instead, we decided to purchase a couple butterflies to release on our own and spent time picking Concord blueberries. The farm is the perfect size to explore with young kiddos, and the berries were at a height fairly accessible. When arriving, you'll choose a tin or larger bucket and follow the arrows leading you to someone telling you which rows were open for picking. There weren't many people on a Saturday which allowed plenty of space to social distance. There's something relaxing and therapeutic about picking your own fruit ---locating each flawless, round, plump berry. I'm certain I could spend hours picking fruit (alone), and it just might be scheduled "mom" time in the very near future. The blueberries were plentiful and smaller than expected (Concord blueberries are small), but the pricing was wonderful. We plan on making cobbler and a galette too! read more

This was the last day of blooms and blueberries it was a Beautiful day out not much to pick but it's to be expected being the last day of picking season. They had hand washing stations, sanitizer. Staff was wearing mask and masks were required, plenty of room for social distancing. Walked out with a couple of pounds of berries & beautiful sunflowers plus some nice pics :) This is great for families, couples or grab a few girlfriends and make a day of it. Cute date idea!!!!! My boyfriend and I wanted to do something laidback this weekend, but wanted to stay away from the usual Netflixing, and this blueberry farm was perfect. It's family friendly and they have a whole system in place to make sure you aren't too close to anyone and have designated lanes. Plenty of parking. No entry fee and you just pay by the pound! There is a $5 minimum though when you checkout! The blueberries were super sweet and lasted me so many days. This is such a fun way to get a delicious snack! read more

Mountainview Blueberry Farm is basically in our backyard, being new to the area we wanted to experience the berries and blooms festival verses just gathering our own blueberries in the nearby patches as our neighbors do. The staff were all friendly and helpful throughout the entire farm. I really appreciate the parameters put in place to encourage social distancing, wearing masks, and frequent hand washing or sanitizing. We thought we can grab some blueberries before the season is over. I checked the website before heading over last Saturday. A full week left of blueberry picking at this farm so thought we would be okay. Once we got there... my how disappointed we were! Tiniest blueberries I've ever seen.. even most are shriveled. Why would you allow the public to pick these and PAY for them? Shame on you, Mountainview. We saw people leaving without any blueberries and we were confused. Now I know why after trekking it to the bushes. Communication is key! Mention updates to the website but honestly they shouldn't had it opened. As we headed to the parking lot, lots of people with families were coming in. I felt soo bad for them. I only added a star because a super nice young gentleman worker we chatted by the bushes kind of explained why they were so small. We were annoyed because the bushes blocked off had good size blueberries and plenty of them! Really turned us off and not wanting to ever come back. Not friendly workers walking in as well. We are new to the area and had our first u-pick blueberry experience here. We stopped in on a Sunday morning around 9AM and it wasn't too busy. We were able to get in right away and start picking blueberries. Definitely a great place to come, staff was super friendly, there was a great deal of blueberries to pick from, and at checkout they had a good deal of local artisan goods. We ended up getting 3 1/2 pounds of blueberries and a small jar of barbecue sauce. For the past few years they have not been opening enough aisles to pick berries. The aisles that are open have very little berries left on them and the berries left are going bad. I think they want customers to clean their bushes for them and pay for the berries as well. I wouldn't mind doing it but this farm is expensive already, and I don't want to pay a high price for berries while cleaning up their left over berries that are going bad. read more

I've never been berry picking before, but this seemed like a great coronavirus activity to enjoy outdoors with family. Apparently there are lots of blueberry farms in the area to choose from, but we picked this one based on location and it's updated website that answered all of our questions ahead of time. It seems blueberries arrive sometime in mid July based on weather and may go until September. This particular location has 9 varieties, but they are not all available for picking at the same time. It's 3.10 per lb and all the stuff you need to pick them and take them home are provided, making it super easy. I'm surprised I hardly even got my fingers dirty. This activity was very much enjoyed by my 4 and 6 year old nephews who each got their own bucket, but lost interest much before filling it all the way up. At 930 on a Saturday a few days after opening for the season it wasn't too crowded, but I heard it filled up completely by 810 the day before. This place had a nice set up to help with co-vid exposure and provided lots of instructions about the best way to do this. I got more than enough berries for myself for less than 10 dollars, ate a huge amount on the car ride home and still had enough to make a pie. Best of all I got to get the berries the way I prefer then, slightly red and extra tart. I'm hoping to go back and get more before the season ends. read more

Since it's blueberry picking season, I figure it is a good time to go since there's no better things to do during covid than go berry picking. When we got there, I was surprised to see how serious they are with making sure people wear their masks and with social distancing. There's washing station at the entrance and hand sanitizers nearby picking areas. I like how organized it was especially when the staff directs you to a row to avoid overcrowding. They take social distancing seriously, which is great especially times like these. There were plenty of blueberries to pick but we're not allow to taste unfortunately. They provided buckets and containers so we didn't have to bring our stuff. Overall, we had a good time and the staff did a great job keeping everyone safe. read more

This farm was such a delight to visit! The blueberries were absolutely delicious, and two varieties were offered to pick from. The entrance to go blueberry picking is free and you need to buy at minimum $5 worth of things, and a pound of blueberries was $3.15 when I went. I picked so many blueberries and it came out to $9 and my bucket was almost full! It was so much fun and the bushes are full of berries to pick from. Excellently organized farm for U-Pick Blueberries on a beautiful lot with plenty of berries and at a great value. I decided to go to this farm on a hot Sunday afternoon in August and was looking forward to picking my own blueberries. The farm is easy to find and there is a road leading down to the farm with the first parking lot near the front. Don't be discouraged if it's full, as there is more parking further in the farm. There is plenty of parking available. Once you enter the first tent, you receive instructions from an attendant and can pick a bucket size of your choosing. It's about $3/pound with a min $5 purchase. This is equivalent to about half a small paint bucket. You receive instructions to follow a path down to the farm where another attendant is waiting. There are sections roped off for no picking and we were allowed to pick about 9 rows for that day. We picked concord blueberries and encountered a decent amount of other people picking at that time too. It was not too packed however and there was plenty of space to move between rows. The selection was solid with mostly ripe berries of good size. The berries were sweet but with a slight tang. I felt there were more than enough berries to pick if I wanted to keep going. I was able to pick about a quarter of a 5 Gallon Bucket in about an hour or 2.8lbs. After you are done, there is a sink and porta potty on the path back up, if you need. They have a little shop with various organic packaged food like sauces and honey if you are interested in that as well. When you pay and weigh your berries, they transfer it into a nice cardboard box for you to take home. All the staff were super nice and helpful throughout the whole experience. I really enjoyed my time at the farm and recommend it for a fun time and getting blueberries at a fantastic price! read more

The most unorganized farm I have been to in my 6 years living in Washington. Very limited parking. They have visitors park on the side of the road. Then to get to the actual farm one has to walk in very close proximity to the moving traffic. It makes it very dangerous if you have small kids. Part of the pass is covered in long sticks and mulch. That makes it very difficult and dangerous for small feet. There are few photo prompts that are very tacky and ugly. Almost no enter for kids. And they charge $21 just for entrance even for kids (3 years or older). It's a ripoff! read more

I think that it is safe to say that these are the best and sweetest blueberries I have ever had in my entire life. It's fun! We've been going here for a couple years now and their blueberries never disappoint. They offer 7 varieties (Earliblue, Concord, Stanley, Rancoccas, Colins, Blue Ray, and Bluecrop), but they all might not be available for picking (you might wanna check their website for what's open) . Although, the size are smaller all-around this year (possibly due to the longer heatwave we've had this summer), they are still sweet! I prefer them bigger and was able to find a few shrubs in each row that have medium sized blueberries which I ended up picking from. The farm is fairly big with 12-15 rows of blueberries per section and about 1/8 of a mile in length. When we went there last weekend the farther section was closed off leaving the first section open for u-pick. There's plenty of parking and a section designated for handicaps. It's $2.80/lb with a minimum purchase of $5. They do take credit cards but prefer cash. They also provide picking cans and various sized buckets up to 25 lbs. Depending on the weather conditions, it's probably best to wear shoes, boots and clothing that you don't mind getting dirty because the blueberries does stain your clothing. The farm can be dusty or muddy if it's wet outside. If it's a hot day, put on sunscreen, and bring water. They also provide water via a big water dispenser if you forget. If you come with little kids, I suggest you bring a toddler wagon so the kids can ride in it as they do not provide any like other farms. Lastly, leave your pets at home as they do not allow pets (unless you want to keep them waiting in your car). If you love blueberries and haven't experienced blueberry picking and are around the Snohomish area, I recommend this place! It's such a fun activity for everyone of all ages. read more

Blueberry picking!! Need I say more!! Ok ok if you insist! This farm is huge and so fun for the whole family! I came here with my husband and our daughters. Before you start picking blueberries, you enter where there is a hand washing area. So it felt safe and clean. They give you buckets for picking and off you go! The blueberries are so yummy! The best part is how many blueberries there are. It's so easy to pick a ton and kids can easily pick them without getting too bored. We picked a bunch and froze some! BEST BERRY FARM EVER! We came here to pick berries last week. At some point, i lost my debit card. When the panic set in that i had lost it at the blube farm, i was immediately got in contact with them and they were so fast to respond and let me know it was safely put away in the register. Phew!!!! 18 month old was easily able to pick berries and reach the bushes himself. We got one of the little blue tins and filled it all the way up in maybe 20 min. They have you scattered enough that you're not overlapping anyone and there are plenty of berries for everyone. Staff is the sweetest. We picked a little over 2 pounds. We will absolutely be back!!!! We live 10 minutes from the farm and what a find! Easy to find, plenty of parking and they provide everything and you just show up and pick. Probably want to call ahead/check the website to make sure they are open. They close sometimes to let the fruits replenish. Cost comes out to about $3/lb but it is good, local, kids love it and occupies everyone. Tip: go early in the morning. Much cooler, less crowded and you get first crack at it! I have picked blueberries at many places and by far this is my favorite farm. Some of the complaints about this place are a little puzzling. This is a blueberry farm. As such there are lots of bushes. Some of these bushes are farther away than others. Yes, sometimes you do have to walk quite a bit out to the place they direct you to but I can guarantee you that is where the best picking is. One thing I really like about this place is that they pretty aggressively manage their fields. They will even close for a day if berries need to ripen. I know that if I'm going I will almost certainly have good picking. Other places are completely or mostly unattended or unmanaged and you can arrive to find very slim pickings. I hate having my time wasted which is why I stick with Mountainview. One of the downsides of managed fields is that you aren't all spread out over acres of land, but are picking where the most berries are. Yes, you will pick next to other people. Sometimes it gets busy. Today, I think because of the cooler weather, it was quite busy. But no tempers flared, no one got mad. It's just berries. Move to another area if someone near you is being a jerk. There is plenty of room for that. Go early if you can. It's more comfortable and the rows aren't picked over. They will open additional rows as needed but they can only open what is mostly ripe and different types of berries ripen at different times. 4 of us were there from 9-11 and picked 26lbs of berries. That is an great haul. The berries are very good quality and bug free. Staff was all teens and young adults and they were kind and helpful. We will go back again next year! read more
