You can even walk into the flower fridge and put your own bouquet together, and if you ever have questions, they're happy to guide you. This place is beyond belief. My son went in there to get some flowers for a surprise proposal for his girlfriend. He was pretty nervous and only knew what type of flowers were her favorite. They asked his budget and so he guessed at it and said $130, basing that on what he could get lily's for at the grocery store. Well he did not get grocery store flowers. He got 4 HUGE lily bouquets with baby's breath and greenery. They were so fresh that when he set them up at his "proposal spot" on a cliff by the ocean, you could still smell the flowers about 15 feet away (ocean breeze didn't faze them). She said YES and the flowers filled the back seat and floor board of an SUV, what an incredible deal on amazing fresh flowers. I can't recommend this place enough. I used to go to Wholesale Flowers and Supplies in Linda Vista off Metro St., but expanded my search for another wholesale floral shop in San Diego since they hardly had any flowers in stock. Although the other wholesale floral company is only 10 minutes away from me, I will make the drive (25 minutes) to Encinitas to go to Carlos. He has the best selection of flowers, hands down, and prices. My sister used his flowers for her wedding and I used them for my best friend's drive-by baby shower. They not only last a long time, but they have a more unique selection. The staff is so friendly, helpful, and I love the family feeling you get when you're there. I ordered a sympathy arrangement, for the passing of a dear friend's mother, the guy that answered the phone, don't remember his name, was very helpful, he had the arrangement ready that morning, and made the changes to the arrangement that I had requested. It was a beautiful arrangement, the only reason for 4 stars, was that I paid extra for the deluxe size, and I was a little disappointed in the size. The lady that made the arrangement was very nice, although, the lady I first interacted with, when I got there, was not very friendly, at all. But I would definitely order from there again, and I would recommend them, I'd give 4.5 stars if I could. If you are going directly to the florist, it's easy to pass it, because it looks like a loading dock, I accidentally drove by and had to turn around and come back. read more

I've gotten flowers here a few times now. And the quality of the flowers is amazing and they've lasted a long time. The staff is friendly and very helpful. It's not the fanciest place but it's pretty cool that they have birdcages there. But The only downside is when you go in the cooler there is no prices and you have to walk outside the cooler to ask for a price. But they have an amazing selection, check them out and support a local Mom and pop florist instead of a big box store. read more

I bought flowers here for my graduation party. I wanted to make center pieces for 4 tables and then have flowers on the food tables. I got 10 hydrangeas and about 8 packs of other long stem flowers 4 days before my party. They lasted the whole time and were beautiful. I ended up making 6 HUGE vases for the food tables and all 8 center pieces for the other tables all for a little less than 70 dollars. I would go back in a heart beat! A hidden gem. Not a box store so you need to participate in finding and suggesting what you want, they primarily are working on large orders but will happily help you. Yesterday was my daughters 2016 graduation from Torrey Pines High School. On a chance, I stopped by Carlos floral to see what they had and I am very glad I did. Carlos himself introduced him self and asked what I was looking for. I told him the school colors and he pulled 2 bunches of 25 roses. The had his assistant pull the nicest 25 from the 2 bunches. I used to live near and went there all the time, I've since moved about 20 miles away and still drive here to build bouquets, especially for parties and events were I needed multiple arrangements. They don't have everything all the time, but always find something to put together, and the price is right on. I usually can make several arrangements for under $40. read more
