That's my experience at every doctors office I've been to, until now. At One Medical in Brickell you're welcomed into an open living room setting by Bri and Eliza who are both super friendly and professional. Don't get too comfy in the waiting room because you'll be taken on time (in my case they took me early.) And it wasn't a nurse or assistant who came out to greet me. It was the doctor herself. Dr. Rosie Singh is awesome. Friendly, knowledgable, compassionate, very easy to talk with. She explained a medical condition better than the specialist who treated me. for it. She gave me around 30 minutes of her undivided attention (unlike a previous primary care physician who breezed in and out of the examining room in minutes!) Her follow up was same day. I went to have my lab work done after my physical and waited less than five minutes to be seen (I went on a weekday morning.) Adriana took my blood sample and was a gentle pro (despite my uncooperative veins!) Plus, my lab results were ready the very next day complete with Dr Singh's comments. Every inch of the office is immaculate. This is not your typical doctor's office visit. While I hope I don't have to visit frequently, it will be a pleasure to return to One Medical.

They lied saying they have no way of putting the order in without me seeing the doctor.. absolute BS. I had a severe asthma attack when I was six, and stopped breathing on the way to the hospital. My mother was driving, but she stopped and called an ambulance. My first of six near-death encounters. A large tumor in my chest was removed....it was benign. Sepsis once. Recently an SUV made an illegal left turn in front of me....I was in a 30 year old Mercedes....I was fortunate, as I saw her front wheels turning I hit the brakes, and, that old air bag deployed and saved my life, as I had misaligned cervical vertebrae, spinal stenosis, and degenerative disk disease, as well as lumbar nerve problems. But, I have several friends who opted for surgery, and they are all in worse shape. Dr. Yatham and her entire staff have helped me avoid spinal surgery, not because I was afraid, but because the chances of a cure are low. I had a laparotomy when I was 22, and was hit by a speeding car while crossing the street, age 10. Never felt it....went into shock immediately. I know doctors, surgeons, and my PCP managed my health, choosing the surgeons and doctors, as well as hospitals. First his father, and now the son. I know medications. I know how addiction works. Dr. Yatham worked with me when no one at Baptist would help. As my condition is unlikely to change, unless to get worse, Dr. Yatham and staff are fast (I was a food service manager for years), well-trained, smiling (especially Vanessa), and professional. I have been to MANY doctors and hospitals in my 70 years, and they are the best complete package. That is the medical point of view. I remember a lifetime of making appointments, arriving on time, and waiting and waiting. Here, tops was 15 minutes, and that was on an appointment for two hours later! And, at the front desk, no sour faces, great efficiency, and at least with my Medicare provider, very inexpensive. You cannot go wrong if you have chronic pain. You will not be taken serious or actually treated with timely and proper care or help. I am expressing my concern and dissatisfaction with the care I received from the nurse Fabianna Zedan at Dr. Elias Mualin's office. My experience raises serious concerns about patient safety, information, communication, and quality of care. During my recent visits, I reported severe and debilitating symptoms, including nausea, constant sweating, extreme back, pelvic, and leg pain, tremors from pain during my menstrual cycle, and inability to eat. I sought medical evaluation and treatment to alleviate this suffering and to obtain a diagnosis and appropriate medication. Following an ultrasound, I returned for a follow-up appointment to review the results with Fabianna Zedan. At that time, she informed me that the results had not been reviewed. I was later told that there were delays at the imaging site, which I understand. However, despite Fabianna Zedan's repeated assurances that she would call me with the results--whether normal or abnormal--I was never contacted. I waited for days without any communication, which I consider a failure in the duty of care. After 3 consecutive days of calling the office, starting on Tuesday, I finally reached the receptionist, who informed me that my imaging results and notes were available. I was then told that I have a complex cyst on my left ovary. I was never contacted or proactively notified by the nurse regarding these findings, and I would not have known had I not persistently followed up myself. Additionally, despite my significant symptoms, Fabianna Zedan prescribed diclofenac, which I found to be an inadequate response given the severity of my condition. When I mentioned that my pharmacist suggested meloxicam, which might better address my pain and inflammation, she reacted dismissively and stated that meloxicam is a muscle relaxer--which is inaccurate, as it is an NSAID. She also raised her eyebrows and her eyes almost popped out of her head looking at me like I just asked her for some type of crazy controlled pain management medication. It was Mobic. This demonstrated a lack of attentiveness and professional knowledge that could negatively impact patient outcomes. This pattern of behavior reflects neglect of patient care, poor communication, and potential risk to patient health. I respectfully request that the office management and or doctor himself address this matter to ensure accountability and prevent similar experiences for other patients. I also got called actually 3 weeks after my ultrasound after I had called myself beforehand when I found out what I had on my ovary, to be told the results finally and that the doctor wants another ultrasound to be able to see further what wasn't shown. THREE weeks after my initial ultrasounds, weeks after I had to call MYSELF three times and got my results over the phone that way, it just shows another lack of interest again in that no one there knew I had gotten my results over the phone... I also obviously asked to be given my results, notes, etc on paper and am actively finding an adequate gyno office to take these results to instead as I am never going back here and advise anyone with SERIOUS concerns and needing actual help to stay away. It's sad too because this was the only gyno office I've been to- only ever being seen by the doctor himself, who's great- but knowing he would allow a nurse practitioner like this to take care of his patients? The entire experience was equivalent to a slap in the face. Please do better.

Rafael Abad since it is not easy to get a first time appointment with doctors as a recent arrival in Miami...I found many doctors didn't accept our health insurance, were not accepting new patients, had moved far away from where we now live or were fully-booked until 2025! Everyone we met at Dr. Abad's office was polite, friendly and kind including the following people: Amanda checked us in and did the blood draw and collected the urine cups. Lilian conducted my EKG. Maria gave me the referral for a mammogram and an ultrasound. Dr. Abad was also polite and friendly and patiently took the time to ask my son and me questions about our individual medical health history and current health situation. He doesn't like to be questioned and he makes sure you know that. I strongly believe in advocacy because I work in healthcare and I understand the patient not only has that right but it is also smart to listen to your patient as they are the most informed about their body and their triggers. I had my husband on an appointment with me to help me with questions because I was so overwhelmed with a flare I was having after being in remission for almost a year; he reluctantly agreed to have him there because he probably didn't want someone else that could ask a question; mind you, we are both in healthcare and come prepared with good questions to help come up with a plan. A patient should be allowed to be involved in their treatment plan as that helps with medication compliance, etc. Dr Resnik confused me with different patients and had no idea about my history, which tells me he didn't even review my chart prior to the visit. He insisted on putting me on Humira based on one flare even though he had told me about a year ago that flares were expected even in a well controlled disease. When I told him I didn't wanna do that without first trying other alternatives like cutting dairy off (my MRT had shown dairy wasn't a trigger when I consumed it, it was), he proceeded to respond with this statement: "I guess if you wanna be in pain your whole life then don't take it." No empathy, no desire to help come up with a plan, just push push meds and not even explain the side effects of the med. I am proud to say that I have been Resnik free for a year now and flares free too! Thanks to not eating dairy and to doing a lot of my own research. I am thankful that he put me on spironolactone when I first saw him and that the med continues to work for me along with no dairy. But if you are looking for someone who will listen to you, be compassionate, and treat you as a person and not as a money making number, then look again. Also, he documented every visit that he conducted a depression screening, which was only done for a couple of visits. He never asked me about my mental health part which is a huge part of the disease. I am glad I am doing well and that I am in healthcare and understand many of the things. But I feel so bad for people with no medical knowledge that put all their trust on him.

As a young patient, I politely asked if I could see Dr. Katrevia because I felt more comfortable with a female doctor. Instead of responding with understanding, he appeared irritated and began emphasizing that he owned the practice and that Dr. Katrevia worked for him. He repeated several times that "this is my practice" and that it shouldn't matter who saw me. As a nervous teenage patient, I was simply trying to advocate for my comfort, but the interaction quickly became uncomfortable because of his tone and reaction. Throughout the interaction his tone was cold and dismissive, and the lack of basic bedside manner made the experience even more uncomfortable. I remained respectful and reiterated that I would prefer to see Dr. Katrevia or reschedule. He eventually left the room to get her. A few minutes later I stepped out to use the restroom and overheard him at the front desk with staff discussing the situation and laughing about me. It was very clear they were talking about my request to see a female doctor. As a teenage patient already feeling vulnerable, overhearing staff and a physician speaking negatively about me felt extremely unprofessional. Looking back now with much more positive experiences with other OB-GYNs, that visit stands out as one where professionalism and respect were severely lacking. I believe patients, especially teenagers- deserve to feel respected and safe when advocating for their comfort during medical visits.
