First and foremost, a gentle and kind woman, Dr. Erdem, speaks proper English. I know that seems silly to say, but this was a huge factor for me. I may speak Spanish, but I don't like getting medical explanations in that language. Some doctors, while bilingual in Spanish and English, naturally default into Spanish with me, and well, that's a major pet peeve of mine. Good thing I won't ever have this issue with Dr. Erdem - she's as English as they come being from England herself! Anyway, language issues aside, Dr. Erdem is one of those doctors who genuinely cares. She has a great bedside manner and truly hopes to only see you yearly. She won't call you in for every little thing. Not to mention that she believes in natural methods, too, and prescribes pills as a secondary method. Oh, and she's realistic when it comes to money. She will tell you herself to go to the lab to get bloodwork done if your insurance covers it. There's even a sign about it. Other than this, you should be aware that her office is in Coral Gables in a garage that you actually get free parking for being a visitor. Score! How often does that happen in Coral Gables? I think the only thing left to comment on is the office and its staff. Not much to say really. This was the quickest doctor's visit of life. In and out and it was glorious! I did go on a Monday though, so the staff didn't seem to be as attentive as I thought they should be, but eh, it was a Monday. All things considered, I had a great first impression, and well, if this great first impression proves itself correctly, I'm sure I'll update my review and up my rating.

I mean if you know you are back up long conversation with patient is not the best way to go, totally unacceptable. Not until i raised concern that I was told I will get a call and paper work will be send to me. I am not the kind to complain always give offices a chance but I feel this was too much. Always great people at the office but they have to manage better.

I can easily talk to him and his staff is amazing. All I can say is he is really helping me out and I so much appreciate this. I drive a good 40 minutes to get to his office but he is worth the drive. My shoulder was hurting since my fall in January and I had gone to an orthorpedic doctor who took an X-ray and said just pulled ligaments . Dr Weitz recently took an X-ray of my shoulder and you could see on X-ray I had fractured my shoulder and that is why I have had so much pain but the orthopedic did nothing except show me exercises to do. I am so grateful to be a patient of a wonderful doctor who really cares. Parking can be tight but on the top level there are spots.

After making us wait two hours after our previously set appointment the doctor finally came into the room and spent maybe three minutes with my daughter. After that we went into his office and started asking an admittedly long list of questions, must of them probably bordering on paranoid. Mind you, our kid was seven days old so we didn't have a lot of experience as parents. By the fourth question the doctor was visibly inpatient and he had the audacity to tell us to hurry up because he didn't have all day to wait. I can't tell you how upset we were. We left and never returned. If you want a pediatrician, whom you will have to deal with a lot in the next few years, to treat you in a condescending way after wasting your entire morning then this is the place.

The wait times can sometimes vary, but you'll always get personalized attention. After each visit - he makes you come sit in his office and just have a quick chat about your concerns, the plan of actions (for why you were there) and to see how you (as a 'new mommy') are holding up. He always tells me to remember to drink water. :) It's the kind of Dr. you just want to hug when you see him. :)
