Disclaimer: received this food via Door Dash (Great driver; Jamey) therefore no mention of food temp will included in this review... Food was great. Three HUGE bags of tasty chips! Guacamole was delicious, queso was fantastic. Fajitas were less than expected, not nearly enough meat for the $22. Ate in with family. Got the vegetarian gluten free fajitas and a long island tea. The flavors were good and staff attentive. Chips and salsa were fresh and good. The decor is predictable gaudy cliche Mexican but was fairly recently redone or in good shape. However floors were just dirty and could see pop spew on wall by window. The service was great; and food was hot, fresh, and delicious. This restaurant has made many improvements in the last few years.

I will preface this by saying we did come in with a rather large party (13 people). However, it took us almost 15 minutes to get our drinks after they were ordered, and they forgot two drinks when they came out. However, we were here over an hour when the waitress came out and apologized, saying, "I just got your order in." Not 100% certain why it was taking so long. The restaurant also wasn't very busy. Overall, I wouldn't recommend the restaurant unless there are some serious changes to staff/management. Got 2 chips and 2 cheese dips to go. Get home and one chip bag is about half full the other is 1/4 full. Called, said they go off weight. They said we could come back to get more. No thanks, not for $4 gas prices. Maybe don't jip people to begin with. For $20 bucks that's a huge rip off. Do better. read more

Waited an hour for a 9 top when you guy were not that busy we didn't watch one big table left yet it took that long to make us a table then after an hour they said our table is ready but we have to wait for chips and salsa which makes no since as we watched other tables sat with no chips and salsa. As we waited we watched the hostess take one bowl of chips to the table at a time and stand at the doorway to the chips talking and joking with her coworkers. I really didn't think this place was that great. I ordered a side of black beans (at least they had the option to order black beans!) and fajita veggies. Their veggies were low on flavor, and almost tasted as if they weren't fully cooked. Along with that, their corn tortillas still tasted floppy, like they were just pulled out of the bag. Not authentic at all. Chips and salsa were relatively disappointing. Our server was very kind and attentive tho, so that was an upside. Water was being refilled often. Visited in mid day, after lunch and it wasn't busy at all. Sat in a booth and it was comfy, didn't feel like it had been falling out. Overall, not so impressive, relatively inexpensive. Just picked up some chips and salsa, but the chips smelled like rancid grease and the taste of the chips is just awful!! We called and asked for some new chips and their response was that no one was able to make new chips for the night, but they would be happy to switch out the chips. So we took the first set of chips back and the second bags of chips are just as bad and it appears that they just poured a bunch of salt on the chips so now they smell and taste like rancid grease but super salty. read more

We love love this restaurant. The Queso Dip & salsa are to die for. Warm chips in a never ending bowl. Great & quick service. Some would say not "authentic" Mexican but we still recommend it and don't forget to have Fried Ice Cream for dessert!! read more

We like this restaurant and even though we don't eat out often, usually go to COK. My favorite was their Santa Fe Chicken salad with the marinated cabbage. It had such a variety of flavors and was healthy! The removed it from the menu and have a "light" version which is OK, but without the marinated cabbage, not as good. We go less often now that I can't find my favorite salad! My husband likes the Enchilada Del Monterey. Good food, good service. read more

Showed up 5:45pm in the mood for great margaritas and food. Been here a few times in the past and frankly not good at all but people say it's better now. Sat at bar alone and cleanliness was great, well kept and friendly bartender. Jumbo margarita was tasty with chips and salsa. First bite of salsa and retrieved a 1" wire from my mouth, kinda freaked out so they replaced my salsa. When my steak fajita burrito arrived it looked tasty but extremely mushy in texture. Did not discount anything for Debris in food. Overall it was ok but only ok! Think it's gonna be awhile before I return. read more

Food quality is terrible prices are high beer was hot 14.29 fajitas do not even come with rice beans and you get more food from Taco Bell 7 layer burrito and it's better. We havent been here in a while and we used to love going here. We usually get the queso dip and husband used to get a steak dish which is no longer on the menu so he chose the Sancho dinner and I get the ground beef chimicanga. We were so disappointed with the food. The service was good but even the server agreed that the food has gone way down hill especially within the last 6 months to year. I asked if they had new management and she said yes. We informed her we could tell the chimicanga was premade fried and then just reheated in a microwave so it was soggy not crunchy like in the past. The papa okellly potatoes were instant and the queso was no more than the Mexican velvetta. I sent my chimicanga back and I told her I was done and wanted no more. When she returned with check in which they removed my meal she informed us we had some crazy taste buds cause we were spot on with everything we had said. So save your money folks. It cost $4 for a small package of velvetta Mexican at store you can buy cheap instant potatoes and add what you want and they would probably taste better and I know you can buy frozen chimis and heat them in oven so at least they are crisp and your bill would be ALOT less and you would get ALOT more with most likely more flavor. Husband's Sancho was so so. He ate it. But you could tell it was most likely reheated in microwave so that he wouldn't complain that it was cold cause the tortilla that it was wrapped in was crisp but stale ish on the edges. its been awhile since i have ate at a carlos o kellys so me and my gf decided to try it and i will never go back again i orderd the steak burrito and it was the worst burrito i have ever had so all i did was eat my rice and beans and then the waiter comes back after my gf had finished her meal and asked if everything was ok i told him my food was awful and he said sorry would u like ur check now and then a few hours later i was in the restroom every few min so i dont recomend this place to anyone read more

Went online to check menu. Ordered two dinners via phone. Asked what two sides did I want and ordered a salad and fajita vegies. Went to pick it up and found out the sides(included with the meal) would cost extra. If you have a choice of sides why should you pay extra? I was told I did not read the "small print" it said they cost extra. Regular beans and rice are included but other included sides cost extra. The salad was like it was left over from the day before wilted not crisp. Portions of rice and beans were small. If you want just enchilidas they cost almost $4.00 each. Add them to a meal they cost less. And it depends what time of day also. The place also smelled bad when you first go in. They seem to still have the orginal carpet in the place. Have always loved the food , it was the only Tex-Mex place you could always find something you liked. Now the menu has changes the amount of food has dropped and the prices have increased. No place to get a price of what you want via online till you ask on the phone or go in. read more
