However, the main problem was that the company was paid to provide and install shoe molding, and this was never done. I contacted the owner (Gary Colwell) by email and USPS certified mail to ask for a refund. He provided a partial refunding, citing additional expenses that were never discussed or listed in the contract.

Upon my first visit at Comfort Flooring shortly thereafter, Wendy greeted me with a smile and took care of me and assured me that we will take care of her and end up being a happy customer. I certainly am. While a higher price than competitors, the higher cost is worth it for peace of mind and quality work. You get what you pay for, and for a long-term flooring solution, the extra cost is worth it. Wendy's walk-through of our house was helpful and she was very patient as we looked at many, many samples across many days. The ability to take home a few sample panels on a few occasions was nice. Great communication from start to finish, as we had many moving parts with a kitchen renovation and other work to be done in our house. The 2 installers were great. All-around nice guys who were skilled at their trade. The quality of work on our installation was impeccable. Attention to detail in all aspects of the project. These guys know what they are doing and the quality shows. They showed up on time, were respectful of our property, and there were no surprises. Did I mention attention to detail? These professionals took their time and did the work to a high standard. Thank you. The original plan was for a 5 day demo/installation. Wendy adjusted this to 7 days after evaluating how much demo would be needed (we had 3 previous layers of flooring to be removed). The installers finished early on the 7th day... on schedule. Rarely is a person at the big box store happy to see you, much less help. Especially when you go there for in depth guidance to a home remodel project. When you go back a few days later with more questions, you might get someone different and have to start all over! The experience at Floor Art is the exact opposite. We walked in the door and were surprised at how big the showroom was. The front entrance is quite deceiving. A woman welcomed us (we found out later she was the owner), explaining that someone would be with us shortly, as she was helping another customer. Fair enough. We used that time to look around. We soon learned that Floor Art brings flooring products in from all over the world; tile, hardwood, laminate, engineered, vinyl, all in different grades and thickness. Plenty of carpet choices as well. There are several product options already on their warehouse floor. Yet, they have access to many more, and can get them quickly. They offer everything needed for a bathroom or kitchen wall and flooring project. The sales rep we worked with gave guidance on tile patterns, sizing, and how best to make our tile really pop. In addition, she made suggestions on grout color and how to maintain it over time. They also offer the full range of waterproofing systems needed for water applications (that go under the tile), as in the case of our bathroom remodel. Everything needed to get your project done correctly. We came here because a good friend is a contractor in OH. He explained that a tile store would offer a better grade and quality than the big box stores. More importantly, the grout products that bigger stores sell, have added fillers (to keep their costs down). Fillers that will shrink and flake out over time. That's why you see tile grout flaking out on some tile projects after just a few years. We took a few tile samples home (and several pics on our phone), to use in our bathroom to help visualize the new space. The next time back after consulting with the sales rep, we picked 3 different tile patterns; one for the bathroom floor, the shower walls and the backsplash. Two were in stock, and the backsplash had to be ordered in. It took less than a week to arrive. Upon arrival we got an update phone call. Every item was staged until our contractor could pick it all up. Our bathroom remodel is now complete, and it looks great. The knowledge and expertise we received by the entire staff of Floor Art helped us save time and money in the long run. We can't wait to use them again, and world recommend them to anyone.

Terrible experience. When I first called for a quote I was told he normally charges $400 a room. We…read morewere having 3 rooms and a hallway done so it would be $1,200 plus paint which we had to supply. When I told him we were getting multiple quotes he dropped the price to $1,000, all without seeing the space. I asked if he does prep and patching as well and he said yes. After getting other quotes I invited Chad to the house to see the work in person. He said it was no problem and it would be the same price and would take 3-4 days. He started work on Monday 2/6. Right off the bat his work looked rough and scattered. There didn't really seem to be any plan. He left a mess of drywall bits and dust for me to clean up as well as his equipment scattered everywhere. It was day 1 so we gave him the benefit of the doubt. After a full day of painting on Tuesday there was no better look to his work and yet another mess of drywall bits and dust. He stopped by in the evening because he lost his phone so while he was in the house I pointed out some concerns. After he left I realized my heat was off.. I asked Chad if he turned it off and he said he did it. IN THE MIDDLE OF WINTER HE TURNED MY HEAT OFF. (I attached that conversation in a photo) By end of the day Wednesday he had packed up his stuff but the work was incomplete. He did address the concerns we pointed out the day before. we went around the house and placed sticky notes by spots that needed touched up along with a list of specifics. He had left a patch with wet mud so we knew he would be back Thursday morning. On Thursday he was only at the house for 2 hours. When my husband got home he discovered half our list was ignored and the patch was still wet. After my husband was home for about 20 minutes, Chad shows up. He starts working on the patch right away without any communication. When my husband walked him through the house and expressed his concerns Chad gives him attitude, excuses and starts saying that it would be more paint and more MONEY! Because all of a sudden he claims he charges by the day.. Throughout this entire project there was little to no communication. The work is incomplete, poor quality and messy.
