I hate yelp, but know that it matters to businesses. That said - I leave a review when someone goes above & beyond. These people are always super accommodating and I'm an idiot who only dresses nicelike every once in a while. I always wait until the last minute to consider the dry cleaning that needs to be done from the last time I got all gussied up. Every time (and I mean every time) I've dropped off my stuff here it was done in record time. And honestly - you shouldn't expect them to rush things just bc you're forgetful. I am and that's why I'm awful. But they've always come through. AGAIN - don't expect them to rush anything for you. You're not special; I'm not special. I'm just saying that when I have, they deal with you like real people and they've brought back my white dress shirt from yellow-collar hell more times than I can count. Been going here for years. This place is very fast, very affordable, very friendly. Couldn't be happier with the service.

I asked them if they can clean and repair the bottom of my sandals and he told me that they have a guy they send it to. After waiting a month, because he never called me to tell me they were done (which he said he would), I called to find out what happened to my shoes and apparently they've been ready for pickup. They charged me $25 for something that looks like it was done by a 10year old and my shoes didn't look clean at all. I wasted my money trying to save my favorite sandals and now I'm just going to have to throw them out. I do not recommend this place to anyone! If they were unable to repair my shoes, they should have just told me instead of taking my money and ruining my shoes. read more

I am stunned and not in a good way. I typically get my dresses altered for $25 at a place in El Cajon, but my friend recommended me here, so I tried it. Initially I was grateful for the alteration man for being capable of working around my schedule 8:30am-5pm. Everything seemed fine and well but no one would ever tell me what the price was. It was always avoided and not answered. I gave the dress to him 3.5 weeks in advance and all I originally wanted was to take in the sides. He offered to hem up the bottom which I didn't care for but said yeah whatever. Little did I know, this half inch/ inch would cost me a whole hell of a lot more when I didn't need it in the first place. I was asked 6 times if I wanted my dress Steam pressed. I said no every time. The last time I was asked, I asked how much it would be and the answer was it'd be a little more. I go to pick up my $80 dress and try it on. It was still loose on the sides and I felt like I was still swimming in it but whatever, it was better than it was. The cashier told me it was $70 for the alteration and my mouth dropped. That was just about as much as I paid for the dress itself. I also asked for any extra fabric cut off because I wanted to make my own sleeves for the dress. I never got those. I called the alteration man and my call went to voicemail. I let him know I wanted to have the excess that was cut off and also speak about the price. He never called me back or made an effort to make sure everything was okay. I will NEVER be going back. Please please please do not go here with dress alterations, they care about money not your happiness. If he reached out to explain himself or make things right, I'd consider giving him another shot but the lack of transparency with the pricing and communication does not make me want to go back ever. read more

Great service, and super friendly. I called around to about 10 other dry cleaners as I had a very last second job I needed done on a suit for an interview. They weren't able to get it cleaned because of a matter of time but compromised with me and were able to get my suit pressed just 30 minutes before closing time and it would be ready first thing in the morning. I am thoroughly impressed that this place doesn't have 5 stars. My wife and I were in town for a wedding and we were hopeful to find a dry cleaner that could clean a suit and press some dresses. I called a few other places and the fastest turnaround time was Saturday (this was Thursday). I called Pranell the owner and he said he could get the suit and dresses pressed by tomorrow morning and maybe even that day! He ended up calling me at 1pm the same day and said everything was ready. While I don't live in town and am just visiting, I wish I did so I could frequent Carlton Dey Cleaners. Highly recommended. read more

I took in 2 pairs of pants for alterations 1st pair after 2 weeks came back nice but when it came to picking up my second pair 1 week later I was so disappointed one leg was longer than the other I will never go back there, took the pants for them to fix but they said both legs measure out the same, lol not true. read more

They check off all the boxes. Quick...you hear "when do you want the clothes back?" Priced well...I go for dry cleaning mainly on button down shirts but occasional suits to dry cleaning as well. I've been charged more in other places. Stain Remover experts...I've had tough stains removed consistently and I come away with a a nicely pressed shirt and pants each time. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND FOR WEDDING DRESSES! I'm sure this place is great for regular clothes, but they had absolutely terrible service for my $3,000 wedding dress. I got married on August 3rd and dropped off my dress for cleaning on August 5. They said that the dress would be done in 6 weeks. At about 8 weeks, my husband called to check on the dress and they said that they weren't finished with it. We called back 2 other times to see if we could pick up the dress and again, they said that they weren't finished with it (they had the dress for about 4 months at this point). The holidays went by and after the new year, I was done waiting for my dress. I called and again, they said that they needed more time. I told them that I would be there in 1 week to pick it up. A few days later, I get a call and they ask if I wore flowers on my wedding day. I said yes, and they said "oh that's why it's taking so long we couldn't figure out what the stains were from." They decided to ask about flowers 5 months after I dropped off my dress, instead of the first 8 weeks when they didn't finish by the initial deadline. When I went to pick up my dress today, there were still stains and they hadn't steamed or pressed it. They also tried to make me pay full price despite there still being stains. I took my dress, even tho they didn't finish it and I am beyond angry at the service from this shop. DO NOT TAKE EXPENSIVE ITEMS TO THIS DRY CLEANER! read more

The dry cleaners that I usually use was closed due to Covid-19. I needed a couple of uniforms cleaned for my son. This dry cleaners came through for me! I dropped the uniforms off Friday morning and they had them ready for me Saturday afternoon! They did a great job cleaning them and the uniform press was awesome. My new dry cleaning place! I wish Yelp had more stars. I very rarely give more than 4. I've been using this place for about 5 years, ever since I got some really crappy service from a place on Mission Gorge. They know my name when I come in. They are always finished when promised, and will go out of the way to express something. If I have difficult stains, or repairs or alterations I have been explained that they will do the best job possible, and when they couldn't meet our expectations, I was not charged. I expect the prices are fair. Even if they were higher than others, I would still use them for the customer service. I occasionally see some uniformed people there, military and law enforcement. If they are getting good service and workmanship, I would expect to take that as a recommendation alone. I will continue to return, and I encourage any reading this to give them a try. Extremely dissatisfied with the service i received here and they completely ruined my Kate Spade purse (and still made me pay). My scheduled pick up was on a Tuesday but when i went in to pick it up they said it still was not ready. I had a very odd feeling especially about they way they reacted so i called to pick it up the next day. When i picked up the purse it did not appear to be cleaned at all. Keep in mind this is a leather purse so i didn't think much could have gone wrong. The whole purse shape is now deformed, the inside and outside are both still dirty, and the zipper has totally rusted onto the fabric (which may be something i need to take up with Kate Spade). Regardless, i wish they would have simply said they didn't know how to clean this purse. I feel like they simply dunked it into a bucket of dirty water. I would never recommend this place to anyone, stay away. read more
