Located next to a massive souvenir shop and 7 minute walk to Interlaken Ost train station, 10 minute walk to Interlaken West train and 5 mins to Harder Klum train station.

We stayed in Rm 181, which is probably the best one in the hotel if only for the fact that it's in the highest floor of the newer building, with balcony looking straight out at the church, shops, and Jungfrau mountains. Room looks exactly as advertised. Bathroom is small but well appointed. Front desk was pleasant. Our room wasn't ready at 11 am (check-in is at 3 pm), but they held our luggage for us while we looked around.

We occupied the sky-lighted top floor, which consisted of two bedrooms and a very large bathroom and intermediate room (between bedrooms). One bedroom was the master with a large king bed; the other had multiple beds and could have accommodated up to four more guests. The owners of this B&B are native English speakers; they eagerly offer and will arrange any of the many area recreations you want to try out. The backyard space was amazing - with a fish pond and amazing background of the mountains. The patrons were very pleasant and laid back. The only drawback was the lack of help planning our days. While we were always asked what we had planned for the day, we didn't receive much advice or suggestions. I am not sure this is what the B&B is there for, but we have had experiences in other B&B's which the patrons provided a great deal of insight into the area and provided amazing suggestions which heightened the experience. This is the only reason I am not giving 5 stars, but I would go back to this B&B. In fact I plan to do just that, though I think I will be researching my trip itinerary in much more detail.

Where do I start with my favorite hotel I've ever stayed at?…read more So this is in the small town of Grindelwald, and getting here by public transportation is SO easy. You can walk from the station with your luggage, it's not that bad. If you rent a car they also had parking available too! It has everything you need: amazing rooms with views, a restaurant, bar, spa, a FREE laundry room, gym. I knew coming here it would be my time to relax and not really do much as I was traveling other places before. I picked this hotel for many reasons, but basically what I listed above was it, and once I arrived, everything exceeded my already high expectations. I had room 106 and it had the LARGEST patio ever. It came with a double swing, patio seats and table, and where do I even begin with the amenities in the room. A fantastic bluetooth speaker, bathrobes, slippers, coffeemaker, cups, wine glasses, etc. It was the most comfortable room ever. Spa was hands down just as gorgeous as it looks. Seriously message me if you want me to gush more. If you plan on wanting ZERO plans and just hanging around taking advantage of the hotel, this is your spot. The staff worked so hard- Dominique I saw you each morning for my FREE (included) breakfast and she was so attentive and sweet. Roger, my massage was AMAZING. Fabulous technique! I want to hug everyone who was there for my vacation 2/21-25 THANK YOU SO MUCH! If you're on the fence, you shouldn't be! BOOK THIS NO MATTER WHAT you will feel right at home! They even gave me parting cookies at check out, like for real, you guys are just magical.

My room was in the adjoining building, just past the dinner room. No elevators in this hotel. I was on the third floor, all those steps just mean a better view and that it was. I had a long balcony off the bathroom with the most inconvenient views of the snow covered mountains. Such fresh crisp air. My room was very big, queen sized bed, two chairs and a dresser with a tv... never turned it on lol. Huge bathroom with an old fashioned tub/ shower. Everything worked great. Hot shower and a comfy bed. We had a buffet breakfast each morning with everything you would need. We enjoyed an amazing homemade dinner. The best food in Switzerland. I had to go back for seconds. This place is located in a cute town that was easy to walk around. With to mini marts... great prices on snacks and alcohol. The train station is so easy to access, we took this to Jungfrau and to near by towns like Interlaken. Beautiful outside garden out back of hotel, along with a jacuzzi. Sign up at reception for a time. There's a small room with a bar in the hotel, great beer and cocktails. The entire town shuts down by 10 pm. People are very respectful of this . The staff here made us all feel so welcomed, for being here only a few days they become family. I will be back.

This is our home away home for two days in Switzerland…read more I heard that the owner and founder of travel tour agency (expat) we used for our Europe tour co -owns the hotel. He tends the garden himself whenever he visits the country as we were told. Part of our package was a stay and dinner/breakfast at this place. Our party of three got the top floor, three single beds in a room the end of the hall with a very nice view of the community and the mountain. The windows were wide enough to enjoy the view and felt the crisp air as we opened it up the moment we walked in. The room is spacious. We have our own bathroom/shower. The other room next to us has a balcony which I wish we had too. Our room doesn't need an air conditioning besides we do not see any system in reference to, the weather was cold during our visit. The weather here was gorgeous and smells clean. Welcoming lounges, big backyard garden, breakfast nook outside and a Jacuzzi are extras for the hotel. Nice innkeeper and staff welcomed us and serviced us during the stay. The breakfast and dinner meals included with our package were quite remarkable. The restaurant and the bar are modest in size. Having meal in a different country with the feel of being a local in terms of its food and the ambiance were something unique for an experience. The fondue and their schnitzel were good. I enjoyed most our host whom prepared some exciting thing while we were dining and dressed up with their traditional costume. Few hundreds steps away from the train station and the grocery stores were nearby. Quiet neighborhood and seemed very safe to be here. Well recommended place to stay especially if wanted to be near to the Interlaken area. No lift though is available but the staff is willing to carry your luggage's if happen to be assigned on the higher floor.

All where delicious and the vies incredible - over looking the large park where parasailers were landing. I highly recommend stopping in to grab a bit but unless you go early make sure you make a reservation. It seems like it is a popular dining spot for dinner. Because as we were leaving it was starting to get busy and the staff was putting reserved signs on a few other tables.

This was my first time here and we stayed two weeks. The people working at the hotel were friendly enough. Our room was hotter than hell the entire time we were there and our fridge didn't work. The breakfast each morning really wasn't very impressive. They would provide you with eggs and bacon upon request but I would think that should be something that you don't have to ask for. The facilities otherwise are quite nice but it is fairly expensive and if there's anybody in your group who is not in peak physical fitness, you might want to consider something else since the hill you must climb to get to the hotel on a daily basis is challenging to say the least.

Terrible experience with this business…read more I accidentally booked a single room for me and my friend through hostelworld. When I showed up to the hostel I told them about my friend staying. Immediately, they became very rude and said she wasn't allowed in a single room, which I actually understood. I tried to work something out with them, however, they offered no additional accommodations like finding another room, or making me pay for my friend, instead, three of the employees cornered me, blocked me from the exits, and yelled at me in front of other customers. I was literally held hostage as they demanded me to pay them the first night stay (which they then ended up charging me for two nights.) They had already received a 10% down payment from me. It was like a scene from a horror movie as I feared bodily harm from the owners and employees. I actually could not believe they were acting so unprofessional, I even debated calling the police to help handle the situation. They finally let me go when one of the workers stated "we have his money". These guys definitely struggle to compete with the much better options in town. Thankfully, we were able to find accommodations elsewhere. Do yourself a favor and avoid this business at all costs. There are so many better options that do not treat their guest so unprofessionally.
