Came here before Halloween and the fall vibes were great. We really enjoyed their petting zoo and $5 feed buckets (carrots, lettuce and corn). They had sheep, pigs, pony?, and more. Lots of photo ops in the field as well! They have a small shop that sells flowers, fruits, baked goods (pies, cookies, etc), and frozen meats. Definitely worth a visit if in the area!

A cute little farm with fresh produce, meat and activity for the family/ kids. Came here to see the farm animals and to check out the fresh produce. You can buy a $5 feed bucket that comes with lettuce and carrots which you can feed the animals. They have goats, pigs, sheep, and a cow. You'll learn quickly which animals like which vegetable item (the goats like lettuce only!). It's really enriching and fun for younger kids and seniors as. There were lots of families there who were all really excited for the animals. There was also a little hay maze that you can walk through. I stopped by inside the store front to check out their produce and was not disappointed. Everything looked so fresh and delicious. They even had Love Gelato in their freezers to sell, which was such a great touch to be supporting another local business at their farm. Overall a great time to spend there. The farm is small so you'll get through it quickly. Ample parking diagonally across the street with signage leading you there.

mr. Tran wanted to take our toddler to see some farm animals and he saw on IG that Carma farms wasn't too far away from us. Carma farms also have a little shop that sells fresh pies, honey and fruits/vegetables. Behind the shop is where the animals are and we were able to see pigs, goats, and cows while walking the trail. It was nice seeing my daughter being in awe as she got to see the animals behind the fence. You can also buy animal feed for them for a couple dollars.

Reopened for 2022! Lots of new babies to be seen, the baby sheep(ewe) is so precious trying to stand up with its new legs. Feed bucket is a great deal. $5, with a $5 deposit returned once bucket is returned. We got loads of heirloom carrots, orange, purple, yellow and the bottom third is corn feed for the ducks and chickens. You can request just corn instead if your kiddos prefer it. Left of farm is the big goat pen, pigs, cows. Right of farm by parking lot is more ducks, sheep, turkey, guard dogs(Great Pyrenees) and some other pigs. There are ducks, chickens and a rooster that roam the grounds, it's pretty funny seeing them walking along 9th line and then flying back into their pens. Lots of great bakery items, Pies are $10, fresh tulips bunches are $8, eggs, meats, honey and maple syrup. Be prepared to spend a good 30mins to an hour, some muddy spots especially if there's rain beforehand so bring rain boots. Lots of tables and chairs around but no hand wash station, just a portable potty.

    Feeding the animals!!

Great place for kids and big kids alike!! Bought a hot apple pie from market!!! Hot days are not as much fun! But they have a shelter set up with picnic tables.

I got there close to noon and there was a lot of cars parked on the side of the street already so I was thinking it was already full but luckily there were lots of parking inside. It was $15 per person which includes a 5lb bag or additional $12 for every 5lb. After I paid, they asked if I was looking for any specific types of apples. I told them I was looking for honeycrisps but I also knew I was a week late. The guy was nice and told me that they were low on them (as expected) but they had another orchid in the back that still had a few more. They weren't as big but I still managed to get 3 bags full. There was also people picking veggies but I wasn't sure if that was allowed since I didn't see anything posted on the website about it.

Or get dropped off inside the lot especially if you have littles. There is a short wagon ride to the fields and the crops were abundant this year. Lots of big berries! The shop by the entrance has ice cream and baked goods as well. Friendly staff. $17 admission includes a 2L basket.

They have a maximum of 10 people inside at a time (according to their website) however even though we booked a specific time frame, there was pretty clearly more than 10 people inside. Unlike some other zoos we went too, there was no real path to follow. It's basically a giant square with a small square on the inside. The outline of the larger square is filled with fenced in animals, and the inner square has fenced animals as well. Although its understandable they have an admission fee for the upkeep of the animals, I feel it should have included the feed. Other zoos are free admission and only charge for feed (ie. high park) so in terms of value, this is a bit below par. Finally, I would never say the animals are aggressive, however when trying to feed the goats, one of them bit the entire feed bag and ripped it away. As I'm an adult, this is fine as I am agile and athletic, however a small child could have easily gotten injured, so perhaps some more training would suffice.

You get to choose time slot and we only got 45 mins before we had to leave which was plenty of time mind you since it was really hot. Extra $5 for a bag of feed to feed the animals. My son enjoyed looking at the animals but I wish the price was per person so I don't have to pay the same amount even if I have a smaller family.

It turned out to be a much wiser decision imo. More available parking, free entry, much cozier space (held in Memorial Park) but also WAY smaller lines. You were able to get to the front of the food lines within 15 mins tops. My friends and I bought our bbq from Sticky Fingers as it had the largest line (isn't that usually the rule of thumb? Pick the vendor with the longest line lol). So a friend and I ordered: - a full rack of pork ribs - a full rack of beef ribs - a pound of brisket - mac n' cheese - baked beans Funnily enough, we unanimously agreed (along w/ our friends who tried some of it), that even though it was RIBfest, the brisket was the best. We got some fatty and lean brisket in our pound and it was glorious. The pork ribs were 2nd place. While the beef ribs were good they still weren't quite as tender as I think I've ever had. The pork ribs also had way more flavour. The seasoning didn't quite permeate the beef ribs all the way down to the bone. The sides were mediocre. While the mac noodles were al dente, the cheese sauce was bland. Overall 4 stars. Can't give 5 stars because those prices were getting kinda ridiculous ... holy hell. They raised the prices out the wazoo.

Since this pandemic, the format has changed from a large ribfest with lots of activities at Memorial Park to a drive-thru version at the same place. I decided to give the drive-thru a whirl. Drive-thru events in Stouffville are organized exceptionally well. If you are getting a COVID-19 vaccination shot at the drive-thru, you need to book through Eventbrite. The same holds true for this ribfest, which was painless and straightforward. I booked a timeslot to drop by between 5 pm and 6 pm. I got there just after 5:30 pm. It was easy to locate. A woman that I first met asked if I had checked in online. I did and showed her my confirmation. She was pleased. She then found my name on her list and asked me to drive up a few feet. A second woman handed me a menu. I thanked her and slowly drove over to the rib vendors. This ribfest is probably one of the smaller ones that I have been to. There were only two rib vendors: - Sticky Fingers - Fat Boys BBQ Since I had already got ribs from the former at Scarborough Ribfest the previous weekend, my choice was simple. Go with the latter! There was good music provided by Excellent Productions to keep us all entertained while lining up. Perhaps I'm the only weirdo who ended up taking a photo of the staff there as I waited in line. Everyone there waved at me! I love friendliness. The Fat Boys BBQ line moved fast. When it was my turn to place my order, I had a helpful and nice woman help me out. I got the following: - Full rib rack meal, which comes with coleslaw and baked beans - Cornbread (2) I love cornbread. I had a feeling that this place's cornbread would be yummy when I saw a sign there that it offered a fully loaded cornbread with pulled pork. I paid using a credit card. I provided a tip. The woman let her colleagues know that I had added a tip and they all said thanks in unison. It was so unexpected, but a lovely gesture. I pulled up next to where all the barbeque magic was happening. Another woman provided a bag with my name on it. I thanked her, placed my food safely in the car as if I were guarding it with my life, and drove home. The food was amazing. Let's start with the cornbread. I love cornbread a lot. It was fabulous. It was perfect. Soft and buttery. Yum! I'm so glad that I got two. I had the other one for breakfast and smeared peach jam on it, which I have never done before. Wow! If I see this place again at another ribfest, I'm getting the fully loaded cornbread. The ribs here are so good! The meat was tender and hearty. The sauce was flavourful and delicious. I loved the ribs so much. I couldn't eat them all in one sitting. I had the remaining half the following day and they tasted even better! The baked beans were the best batch that I have had in a while. It was smoky, full of flavour, and wasn't overly sweet or salty. Just right. So yummy! The only weakness was the coleslaw. Although it was fresh, it lacked flavour. I ended up adding rib meat and baked beans on top. The coleslaw was that bland. I had a great experience here. There were lots of clear signs around to indicate that you're driving in one direction, along with staff to help with any questions. The entrance was at Hoover Park and Park Drives, and I exited at Park Drive and Main Street. (320)
